Jay sat in a random seat. He was usually, surprisingly, one of the first people to get there. Well today, in particular, he got here first to tell Mr. Schue that there may be a possibility a new member would show up. In fact, he didn't even know her name! She never told him actually... A few more Glee members arrived and his legs shook up and down wondering if she really will show up or not.
Amber headed out of her last period class. First stop, her locker, of course. She walked a little slower than normal. Social was pretty far away from her locker so even if she walked at normal pace, by the time she got there it would be less crowded. But, just in case, she wanted to take extra precautions. Finally arriving to her locker, Amber dropped off her books and side bag. All day she had been thinking of Glee Club, thinking whether or not she'll join or not. She closed her locker taking a deep breath and headed to the Glee room and peered in nervously.

Lynn stood at her locker for quite a long time. She was deciding whether or not to go to Glee club or to go home and study. Well, she could always study later when she did get home. She was a senior and the only thing she ever did was win awards and competitions; though none of those were group efforts. Maybe, just maybe she could finally be something. Well, it did help that Jay Seong had ask her. Out of all the guys in the school, he was the one she had a crush on. It was a dynamic crush. It changed all the time. When she would see Jay Seong, her heart would flutter and the feeling would intoxicate her. But, then she could forget about him. Yet, he had asked her to come. And it was only polite to show up.
Mike turned the corner to see a timid girl peering into the choir room. He smiled and approached her, patting her back. "Hey! Glad you came. Don't just stand out here! Come inside," Mike smiled at her, leading her in, "Guys, we got a new group mate!"

Amber jumped, seems like that happens a lot, and was very close to running. Luckily she didn't, 'cause if she had she would've run into the wall. Only thing that did happen, though, was that she stubbed her foot a little. "O-Oh!" She blinked and before she knew it she was brought into the room. She stood there for a more her eyes darting across the mass of people. "U-U-Umm... Hi... I'm Amber," she said quietly feeling that she should be saying something.
Jay looked towards the door hearing Mike's voice echo in. Eh? It wasn't the other girl, but some other chick. Just slightly below average in height for Asians... who was this girl? Jay ran a hand through his hair, his mind starting to wonder if that girl would be coming or not. He really hoped so.

Mr. Shue turned around with a smile, "Amber! Glad you could make it. Okay, kids, welcome Amber." Mike smiled, and put out his hand, "Mike." Each of the kids introduced each other and Rachel immediately interrogated Amber, "Oh! You must be really good at singing or dancing. What do you like to perform? You see I have all these nice numbers, well because I've been training since two. Who are you're favourite singers? You must of seen us in last years nationals. It's like, too bad we took second -" "Rachel," Mr. Shue said raising his eyebrows, "Let her breath. Amber, why don't you tell them about yourself."
Lynn flicked her hair out of her face and knocked on the door. "Excuse me, I was told that Glee Club meets in here? I'd like to evaluate the legitimacy of this club; whether or not it's of standard," Lynn announced as she walked in, then saw Amber, "Oh, I'm quite sorry. Please continue your introduction."

Whoa. She talked wayyy too fast. Amber merely blinked staring at Rachel as she rambled on. After what it seemed like forever, Mr. Schuester interrupted. "Umm...-" Amber thought but then another voice appeared. She thanked the newcomer internally, perhaps she'll be able to avoid this 'introduction' thing. "Um, no. I'm good. On the whole. Introduction thing," Amber responded choppily turning to the newcomer. She really just wanted to sit down.
Jay perked up, a smiled forming on his face. She really did come. "Oh, well, Amber, you may take a seat," Mr. Schuester told Amber sensing her nervousness. He then turned to the new girl that appeared. "I'm assuming you're the girl that Jay told me about," he smiled. "How are you Lynn?"

Mike smiled at Amber to be reassuring. "Welcome to the club," he whispered to her.
Lynn nodded, surveying the club. Strange assortment. Her eyes flickered to their trophies. Okay, not bad. Her eyes wondered to the piano and saw Jay. Her heart did a back flip and she quickly reverted her attention back to Mr. Sheuester. "Yes, I'm Lynn," she answered, "Is there some sort of qualification or test you need to pass in order to join?"

"Thanks," Amber whispered back smiling a little. She sort of got use to talking to Mike, just a bit. She was still flustered as usual, after all, he was one of those higher-ups that she actually took fancy towards.
"Uh, no," Mr. Schuester answered a little surprised by the question. Qualifications to join? Almost reminded him a little of Rachel, the way she talked so fast. "But, if you would like to preform a little piece or you can just talk, so everyone here will get to know you a little bit more," he suggested.

"No," Lynn replied simply taking a seat. She wanted to gauge how good they were. She knew the Glee club had taken second in nationals, but who knew if it was just a fluke?

"Alright then guys and girls!" Mr. Schuester began adding in the girls part after getting a glare from Rachel. "I'm going to start off with that song I gave you last week, Lynn and Amber you two can still join in. Then after that we'll get into that project I was hinting about." Mr.Schuester pulled out two extra music sheets passing them over to Lynn and Amber. "Whenever you're ready Jay," Mr.Schuester said lastly before Glee Club began to do what they were best for, apart from making drama. As the song ended, Mr. Schuester clapped. "Good, good!" He praised walking back to the piano. "Okay, now the project! This is a good way for you all to work with someone you might not know very well yet. It'll be random though! In this top hat is 7 pairs of little items. The matching pair will be your partner, so the pairings will be completely random! By the end of the month I want you and your partner to perform a piece to everyone. We'll be using the auditorium to preform it! This will be an ongoing project, so, you'll have to do this outside club meetings! Though I might give you club time though," Mr. Schuester explained elaborately. He then got everyone to line up and pick from the top hat.
Jay raised an eyebrow. Interesting sort of project. Sounded pretty cool though, a good way to start the year that's for sure. He stuck his hand in, felt a little funny with all the items poking at him. Finally he pulled one out. "A pink cube...?" He blinked turning around, he then headed to the side waiting till someone drew his matching pair.
Amber was a little afraid of this project thing. Most people were already paired off. She timidly placed her hand inside the hat, not a lot of pieces left, she pulled one out and walked out of the line not looking at it yet. Off to the side she opened her hand and a little green cube sat in her palm. It was actually sort of cute.

Lynn drew a pink cube as well. She realized that Jay had a pink cube also. Out of all the probable outcomes, she had chosen the most favourable. As she returned to her seat, she smiled to herself. "Well, whoever has a pink cube better be able to keep up with me," Lynn said, her bad habit hiding her true self again.
Out came a green cube for Mike. He examined a bit, amused that Mr. Shue chose to use cubes instead of names. He held up his green cube. "So, who has the green cube?" he asked, then spotted Amber with it, "Oh! Amber! Glad to be working with you! We can be good friends, eh?"

Yet another eyebrow raised and Jay walked over to where Lynn was with a smile. "Lynn right? Seems like we'll be partners for this, how lucky," he joked laughing at the ironic fact that it was he who invited her to come and now he'll be able to learn a bit more about her too. He had to say, she was quite attractive.
Amber's mouth formed an 'O' as she blinked at her partner. Of all people here... seriously?! "Uh.. umm... yeah.. I guess..." Amber responded with little words. She was actually completely shocked and those crazy goosebumps were coming up again. Actually she had goosebumps since the first time she entered the room. Now it was more like she was freezing.

Lynn peered over the top of her glasses. She knew she was acting like a queen, but once she started her cocky attitude, she couldn't stop; it was what got people to really hate her. "Lucky? There's no such thing as luck. That was just probability," Lynn answered impatiently, "I hope you can sing. I have better things to do, you know." Well, she really didn't. Lynn didn't know exactly why she'd play this b***h character, but she found it fun. It was intriguing to see the reactions of others. Some people were taken aback, some fought back, while others didn't want to associate with her. She wonder what type Jay would be.
Mike laughed, but then quickly caught himself, "Sorry! I'm not laughing that you stutter!! No! Um, I just think you're really cute." He had not realized he had said that out loud. Of course he never meant to be rude to her so maybe it was good he cleared it up.

Jay laughed. "I actually sort of suck at singing, so don't give me a main part I can only do like the back stuff. But, I can play piano really good, so that'll be good when we practise," Jay answered. He didn't really mind her attitude thing. He's actually seen worse with all those crazy chicks in the school.
Amber's eyes widened as her mind registered his words. He wasn't serious, yeah, that had to be right, he was just joking or something. Oh god, oh god. Yup, she was starting to panic a little bit. One of those scary jocks just called her cute. Like a cute prey maybe? "Okay guys I know you're all excited, but save it for the next day! Go work out a schedule with your partner, so I'll see you all later!" Mr. Schuester hollered over the chattering. Ah, Mr. Schuester was her savior. Without saying anything, Amber ran off, her face felt hot from the mass of thoughts. She skidded to a halt running into her locker. Squeezing her eyes shut she took a breath to relax. Oh my god. What in the world did she get herself in to.

"I see, then. Well, I want Lady Gaga's Speechless," Lynn commanded, then scribbled down an address, "We will practise here." She stood up to leave. She was confident that no one would disturb their practise. It was actually grandma's house, but no one lived in it anymore. Her parents did not have the heart to sell it and left it there; kind of like insurance. There was a piano of course and no one came by there anymore, except Lynn. It was kind of her heaven to be alone. To study and do whatever she wanted. Grandma's house was like her best friend.
Mike caught up with Amber at the lockers. He was surprised that she was besides him. He wondered why he didn't even notice it before. Maybe because he was just a jock before and after joining Glee club, it was like he was opening his eyes for the first time. "Hey, Amber! Why did you just bolt like that? Um, do you want to practise tomorrow at lunch? I have football practise afterschool...so?" Mike asked her, "Well, you make a time actually."

"Sure," Jay nodded. Speechless huh? He actually liked that song. It had a nice tune to it. "What day's good then?" He asked looking at the address. Her house? She wanted to practise at her house? Wow. Interesting practise location, but then again most people would be doing that to avoid issues. Knowing Mr. Schuester, he'll probably set up a schedule for where pairs will be able to practise on what days so it'd be fair. Choir room or auditorium.
Shoot. She actually forgot his locker was beside hers. Well she did just learn that recently anyways. "Umm... no... Lunch is fine... Where though?" Amber asked. At least she got past the stuttering stage. It was sort of at the slight pauses stage now. She briefly thought about lunch tomorrow, she was probably just going to spend it in the library. Actually, it didn't matter when he asked her, she's basically free all the time.
