"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Embry tried to act cool, giving her a quick nod. "Well, you know how we do," he said. Jacob simply stared at him. There wasn't much to say about that...
Jacob shook his head and looked at Melissa. "Don't worry about it. It was really no trouble at all." He turned to Embry and gave him a look, which Embry deciphered as, "THAT is how you say you're welcome, you little phony." Embry scowled at Jacob before smiling at Melissa. "If you ever need anything else, just call us. Plus, if you wanna know where we reside, just go to La Push." Jacob glared at Embry. Did he want her to stalk them? Embry seriously had no skill. Jacob sighed. "Sure, that's where we'll be. I mean, that's basically the area where we live."
Embry grinned as Melissa opened the car door. "Bye, Melissa!" Jacob smiled sincerely. "Well, maybe we'll see you later." He waved to her before she could leave. Pulling his cell out of his pocket, he noticed that it was starting to get late and he needed to get home. He raised an eyebrow and looked at Embry, showing him the time. Embry looked at Melissa, then Jacob. Jacob understood; they should watch out for her just in case. They didn't want her to get attacked by anyone, or anything for that matter. [ooc: UGH! Block!!]

xxxxxxxxMelissa Ann Taylorx"Doctor! Doctor! I think my heart stopped beating."Melissa gave a wave, sliding into her car's seat while threw the two items into the passengers seat. She pulled into reverse, yawning as she moved out onto the street. Finally after a long day, she could go home.
The one good thing about Forks was that it was so small that everything was close together making traveling easy, leaving the streets filled with far less cars than the suburban area. So she speeded, leaning on the arm rest close to the window while she drove fast down the street. This enabled her to get home in ten minutes, popping into her driveway and slamming her car door shut when she got out. Melissa wasn't exactly surprised to find her brother playing in the front yard or to hear her mother in the back yards shed creating pottery, her face scrunched up a bit as she heard the annoying rattlings of her brothers play noises; but she ignored it and went inside making the door slap shut.
Melissa was going to go up to her room and probably just find something to do but then her brother came rushing in, panting from running around so much. "Mom, said she's not making dinner." Melissa rolled her eyes, pulling out a hair tie and snapping it into a ponytail. "What are you going to do now?" He followed her through the entrance of their house, holding onto his small red plane where the toys paint was falling off. Melissa ignored his question, heading up the stairs of their house till she reached the second floor. "Hey, guess what I made a friend today." Once again she rolled her eyes, taking no interest in her little brothers affairs. "Yeah, he came to our house and asked me questions; we played a bit too." Meliss quirked her eyebrow, opening the door to her room as she stepped inside and turned around, putting her hand on her brothers forehead to keep him out. "He sounds like you, a weirdo." He grabbed her wrist, dropping his airplane and trying to pry her hand off. "Hey! Don't say that! He's a superhero."
Melissa sighed, rolling her eyes and pushing him back into the hallway. "Why don't you go play pretend somewhere else?" But this antagonized him, he snatched up his airplane scowling at her as his voiced raised. "It's not pretend! He has superpowers! He's fast and strong just like superman!" Melissa sighed, there was only so much she could take of her little brother; so she slammed the door shut, leaving him alone to his tempertantrum as she jumped on her bed and plugged in her cellphone.

"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob and Embry followed Melissa's car as far as they could go. Both of them noticed that she lived near La Push, like them. "Well, that's convenient!" Embry exclaimed. "Now we can keep an eye on her easily!"
Jacob shook his head and chuckled. "Knowing you, it won't really be 'keeping an eye on her.' It would be 'stalking and creeping on her.'" He punched Embry's arm a little bit and ran off to Sam's house. Embry followed, annoyed with how Jacob always had to tease him about every little thing.
They got to Sam's place pretty quickly. Sam didn't look too happy, again. Quil and the others also looked pretty solemn. "Jacob, Embry, you're back. Finally. We have to talk about what you both missed." Sam pointed in the direction that the two had just came. "We chased the vampire that way. Then, we lost sight of it. We're pretty sure that Forks is safe from it, but we never know. Keep a lookout anyways. It could be anywhere."
Embry paled. "Um, Sam, Melissa lives in that direction. We just followed her home so she wouldn't get attacked by a vampire or anything. We kept a pretty good distance, so she still doesn't know about us yet. But I did feel a bit of vampire presence near that area. Or at least a vampire had been there."
Sam furrowed his brow nervously. "Well, that's not good. Okay. We should keep watch over Melissa and her family the way we used to for Bella. Is that clear?"
Jacob shuddered when Sam mentioned Bella. The last thing he needed at that point was to have vampires and Bella cross once again. He nodded anyways. He should at least let Embry have a chance at love... or whatever would come out of their relationship.

Melissa ✗ Ann ✗ Taylor Melissa sat in her bed, reading a text book while she sucked on a lollipop; her weakness in life. From time to time her brother would come knocking on her door, trying to bother her, but she learned long ago to keep it locked so he couldn't come in.
An hour or so later she could hear her father comming home, ignorning that she kept up her studying before going downstairs thirty minuts later. "Hey, I heard you're not making dinner." She tip-toed down the stairs, going from the living room to the kitchen where she snagged another snack and went back to where her mother was - the living room. "You snack all day, so I don't see much of a problem."
Melissa rolled her eyes, puffing out air while she blew up her bangs. Her mother sat on the couch, scrunching over her laptop while she clicked her fingers away on they keyboard. "Alright fine."
Hours passed and they made their own dinner, eating soup or coninueing to snack; whatever each family member chose. Melissa ate quickly, going back up to her room where she took a shower and got ready for bed. Once her ritual was finished she climbed into bed, turning off the light and sleeping immediantly. ooc;; Sorry for not posting~ Next post will be the next day? time skip?

"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." ≈≈ Time Skip ≈≈ The next morning, Jacob woke up to the same old nightmare, except it had a new character. Melissa wasn't a nightmare, of course. In fact, she was quite nice. The nightmare was that he was living life without Bella, who had been taken by Mr. Lifeless himself. He sighed as he rolled out of bed reluctantly. He decided to forget about Bella. There was no point in remembering her anyways. She wasn't going to magically reappear out of thin air just for him. Plus, he had to defend Forks from the likes of those bloodsuckers, which was much more important than obsessing over a marriage that should never have happened.
Today, Jacob made his own coffee. Of course, it wasn't going to be that great, but it was easier. He didn't have to pay this time. As the coffee started brewing, he rummaged through the cabinets for some food to eat, not that he found anything worth eating. He sighed and wondered if he could get some food from Sam and Emily. Maybe Emily had baked something else. He was sick of muffins. Maybe she had made bagels or something else for breakfast.
With another sigh, he poured himself some coffee and drank up the whole mugful in a single gulp. Not the best idea after getting a shock to his brain, but it woke him up and got him active.
Jacob trotted over to his room and started to take a quick, cold shower. After what seemed to be five minutes of cleansing, he emerged from the bathroom and dried off before dressing in an olive colored shirt with denim shorts. Then he slipped on his shoes and jogged over to Sam's house.
Once he reached the house, he noticed Sam, Quil, Embry, and the others clumped together, talking about something inaudible to Jacob. He ran over to them with one eyebrow raised. "Hey, guys. What's going on?"
Sam looked at him with a grave face. "Jacob, not that I would like to make Embry sound like a stalker... Embry, care to share your findings?" He looked over at Embry, his mouth pulling a bit at the ends at the fact that Embry was such a little stalker.
Embry cleared his throat and said, "Thank you Sam. Last night, I wanted to check up on Melissa to see if she was okay. I was outside her house, and a few of the lights were off in the house, but some people were still up. I assumed that one of the rooms was Melissa's because it looked... girly."
He was interrupted by Quil. "Dude, you're such a freak! You saw inside her room? Oh my God. Creeper alert!" He and Jacob laughed loudly while Embry fumed and Sam shook his head in annoyance.
"Would you two children mind letting me finish?!?" Embry screamed. Then he cleared his throat and continued. "Okay, so while I was checking up on the family to see that they were all safe and okay, I could smell the vampire's scent... well, actually, it seemed like multiple vampires. Almost like a family of them. They hadn't gone inside the house, thankfully, but they had gone outside to the yard. From the scent I got, one of Melissa's family members had interacted with one of the vampires. It could have been her brother. I'm not sure. But we should watch out."
Sam grunted and looked at the rest of the pack. "You heard Embry. Be sure to watch out for vampires and take care of Melissa and hef family. Got it?"
Jacob nodded. He was starting to get a sense of sadness. He remembered when he protected Bella from vampires, and now they were protecting Melissa for Embry. Well, it must have felt that way to Embry when they would take care of Bella, so now it seemed to come back to him. None of the other members of the pack could truly relate anymore. They had all imprinted on someone. Lucky them. Jake still needed someone for himself, as did Embry. [ooc: No problem! Sure, Time skip sounds good.]

Melissa ✗ Ann ✗ Taylor Another day, another dollar. Which would be true if she was working - and sadly she wasn't. Melissa had spent most of the day sleeping in, awakening around one p.m. to find that no one was home; except her brother.
"Where's mom?" She came down the stairs, rubbing her eyes and not carring much for her bedhead. Her little brother sat on the couch, kicking his feet while he ate coco puffs. "Fwiends," with an aggitate grumble Melissa took the answer and left, going inot the kitchen to get herself something. When she returned back to the living room he had finished, whiping his mouth before he just slapped the bowl onto the small end table. "You have to take me to my friends house." Melissa frowned, pulling pieces of her bagel apart and putting them into her mouth. "What? Why me?" She let out another sigh, seeing him turn around and give her a look before he looked back on the tv to watch his cartoons.
"Where to?" She leaned against the couch, her elbows on the back of it while her face became close to his. "My friends house."
Once again she sighed and groaned, not up to finishing her bagel after having the chore of babysitter pushed on her once again. "Alright, let me get ready first." She shoved the bagel into his hands, since he had the stomach of a cow, and turned around to walk downstairs.
It took her about an hour to get ready, taking a shower, doing her hair, makeup and picking her clothes all took time. Usually it would have taken longer, maybe two hours, but she cut it short since she was only dropping off the pipsqeak.
Meliss had hopped back downstairs, opting out for a sweater-dress in black and taupe colors while she just tied her hair up in a ponytail. "Alright, come on." During the same hour her brother had also changed, just putting on shorts while keeping the same shirt on; really not changing at all.
Together they stood up, going to her car while she checked the damage of it for the first time in a while; pain scrape. "Where does he live," she dug her fingertips in the side of her head, scratching near her ponytail before stopping and watching her brother climb in. "Closer to the city."

∫∂∫ Jacob Black ∫∂∫
"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." After their little meeting, Jacob and the rest of the pack started on their way to Melissa's house. They decided to walk instead of rushing. Emily had told them that since they had all just eaten, it wasn't a good idea to run unless they wanted cramps, which they all wanted to avoid, so they took Emily's advice.
Embry was leading the pack to Melissa's house, since he was currently "involved" with her, somewhat. Some of the pack members speculated if Jacob should be the one leading since Embry was a little too much like a hyperactive puppy and Jacob could use someone in his life, but as soon as word got to Embry and Jacob, they shut them up.
Quil was too busy focusing on a little chant he was repeating to even care about the gossip among the pack. "Embry stalks Melissa, we all stalk Melissa, we gon' creep on Melissa, Melissa you should beware-ah." He was even including some small dance moves and beats in the background. Jacob laughed and decided to join in.
Embry groaned. "Would you two children shut up? My God!" He kicked Quil and Jacob in the shins out of annoyance and continued walking, grumbling as they went on. Those two were so immature. How could Quil have imprinted on someone already? He was so immature, he probably couldn't even take care of himself without Sam and the pack. Plus, how was he babysitting Claire? Was she a completely capable 2-year-old or something? The thoughts drove him insane.
Jacob trudged ahead of Embry, pretty annoyed at the pace everyone else was moving at. If they were so inclined to keep Melissa safe, they should at least be quick about it. He had reached as far as the rest of the pack should have gone, besides Embry, who could go down further. He ducked down into the bushes and only kept his eyes and top of his head showing. The others followed behind and sat down in the bushes near Jacob.
Embry, on the other hand, continued on towards Melissa's house. He tried to listen in on what was going on in her house. "Guys, I think she's going somewhere," he whispered. "I heard a couple of doors slam shut. One sounded like a car door. I don't know where they are going, but we should follow in case they encounter vampires." Everyone nodded in agreement, still laying low and waiting for Melissa to leave.

Melissa ✗ Ann ✗ Taylor Melissa climbed into the car along with her brother, yawning as she pulled out slowly; her back turned around as she reversed.
The road was clear, being around ten meant that everyone had gone to work already - or just stayed home - doing their own things. She drove down the street, speeding as she slouched in her seat. From the corner of her eye she could see her brother's hand on the door handle, clutching it while he sat up straight and tried to peer over the dashboard; pointing out directions. "I thought you've never been to this kid's house before, how do you know where he lives?" He scoffed, making her roll her eyes while she continued to push down on the peddle. "He gave me directions, and he's not a kid; he has a brother too who's your age."
Melissa huffed out hair, rolling her eyes as she made a left down a secondary street. "Riveting," she slowed the car down, coming into a cluster of houses while she waited for him to look for the address numbers. "It's that one, right there."
He leaned forward, making her lean as well, as he pointed to a house on the corner. It was cottage styled, red tiled roof with a beige base; two story just like most of the houses on the street. Melissa pulled up to it, idling her car by the curb while she waited for her brother to get out. He turned around, facing her once again and holding onto the door to slam it shut. "Don't forget to pick me...up..."
He stopped turning around and seeing a tall boy hold onto the car door, "Oh, you must be his sister." Melissa rolled her eyes again, slouching in her seat some more while she leaned her body against her doors frame. "Yeah, whatever. Ok I'll pick you up at one." She eye'd the guy again, but he just stood there holding onto the door and smiling - making her aggitated. Finally Melissa leaned to the side, stretching her body to the passanger seat and hooking her hand on the door.
"Oh, you want to leave? You don't want to come in?" With her left hand she wave it in the air, signaling her dislike for the idea. "No thanks." This made the boy chuckle as he opened the door further, making Melissa coil back to the driver seat as he leaned his head in. "But it'll only be for a few minutes, just a thank you for letting your brother play with mine."
Melissa scowled, sighing out heavily before she became bold and grabbed the passanger door once again; comming face to face with the guy. "I've already said no, leave me the hell alone." This surprised him, making him pull back just a bit which made Melissa take her chance and slam her door shut; reversing once again to do a u-turn and leave the complex.
"Hm, your sister is very hostile." "Yeah, she's always crabby. So where's luke?" "Oh, he's inside waiting for you."

∫∂∫ Jacob Black ∫∂∫
"There are no rules that can bind you when you find your other half." Jacob, Embry, and the rest of the pack, who had turned into their wolf forms, started running after Melissa's car, except they kept themselves concealed so they wouldn't draw any attention to themselves. Luckily for them, she was the only one on the road, so that made her easier to track.
Jacob understood that they had to look out for Melissa, but he didn't understand why they had to stalk her. She might not be getting into any trouble right now, so why on Earth did they have to check up on her at every second? He sighed slightly as they continued running.
Everyone slowed to a stop and went back to their human selves. Then they turned around the corner, pressing close to the buildings as they walked along. They didn't want to reveal themselves to Melissa. She would think that they were creepy stalkers... well, they kind of were. Never mind.
Embry had a growl settling in his throat. The low, soft rumble was only audible to him, Jacob, and Quil. They noticed that Melissa's brother was getting out of the car and a pale, tall figure was standing beside him, most likely talking to Melissa. All of them recognized the male as a vampire. Embry wanted to rip him to pieces, but knew that doing so would somewhat reveal their identities. "That a*****e better back off, or else he has something coming. I know where he lives."
Jacob himself couldn't help getting annoyed with the male vampire, whose head was poking into Melissa's car. Stupid vampires always had to harass people, didn't they? Well, this vampire family would definitely need to watch their backs, now that they knew where to find them. He was a bit surprised as the vampire recoiled away from Melissa and the door slammed. A wave of relief flooded through him as she left.
Embry sighed. "Phew, I was afraid that he would hurt her. I would have beaten the death out of that frozen idiot." His growl disappeared as the vampire and Melissa's brother went inside the house.
Sam cleared his throat. "We need to split up. Half of us will go back and watch over Melissa while the other half watches over her brother and the vampires. Got it?"
The others nodded and formed into two groups. Jacob stayed behind to watch over the vampires with Quil and some others, while Embry and Sam went back with the rest of the group to watch over Melissa.
