I'm pretty sure the answer to the FIRST item ANYONE bought and wore on their avi was a Starter item. xD Every account you create you start out with starter items, and part of the New Member quest is having to buy and wear one of those items.

But there was once a time where starter clothes didnt exist and the only clothing you got free were your grey underware which you can never take off. Back then there were no "Quests".

I joined in '06... But it was late '06, so. xD

I joined in '03 AND in '05. And other times that I don't remember. Actually, I'm pretty sure that I have an account from '04 and '06 at LEAST as well. I don't think I have any newer than that though.
