xxxViktoria kept running full out, but she could only keep up this pace for so long. About five minutes later, she slowed down a lot until she running at just a light jog. She had no doubt that the knight and his dog were following after her. She turned onto the streets that were busy this time of night, those ones being where the pubs were located. She walked into one pub that smelled heavily of alcohol, smoke, and sweat. It was awfully hot in here and the whole place was jammed packed full of people. Men ordering drinks, and pretty bar maids serving them. Viktoria had no interest in ordering anything to drink tonight, she had just been looking for a crowded place to hide within. She went to the back of the room and leaned casually against the back wall, looking every now and then towards the entrace to the pub that she could just barely see through all the people that were in front of her, seeing if the night would follow.

xxxViktoria still stood in the pub, laughing every now and then at some of the things that the people within were doing. It was obvious that they had one drink too many. . . or ten too many. They really were very drunk looking and acting. Viktoria tensed slightly when she heard a sound and could see a green light through the windows of the pub. People turned their heads to look at it briefly before they returned to their drinks. "Sh*t," Viktoria muttered as she knew what that sound meant. She dashed towards the back entrance of the pub and then outside into the cold night air once more. Outside, there were a few horses standing tied so that they wouldn't run away. She quickly judged the horses that stood there, seeing which one might be the faster horse and which could go for a long time with out slowing too much. She chose a dark brown on the end that had the build that she was looking for. She swiftly untied it from the poll and then swung herself up into the saddle. She wasted no time in spurring it into a gallop as she headed out of town.

xxxViktoria frowned as she rode the horse as fast as it could possibly run. She knew she was in some serious trouble now, way more serious then she'd ever been in before. And damnit, I still don't have my dagger back, she thought to herself as she had just realized this and she hoped that knight would not lose it any where. She glanced over her shoulder as she heard the faint sounds of more horses galloping behind her to see that the calvary units had joined in one the pursuit now as well. Viktoria turned back to look at where she was headed and figured that staying on the main road was not such a good idea anymore. She looked to her left and noticed that there was a fence on the other side. She prayed that the horse she was riding knew how to jump as she angled him towards it. She braced herself fot the animal to leap, and was relieved that he had managed to make the jump. She gave the horse a pat on the side of the neck and made it gallop forward again as she went over a grassy hill.

The cavaliers of the army pursued Viktoria at full speed. They smiled secretly to themselves, there were far too many of them for her to be able to escape their grasp. Plus, their horses were trained for both speed and endurance, while she had just taken one off of the street.

Kyle was still behind the rest of the soldiers, but was gaining from urging his horse faster and faster. He would not let this woman break the law and get away with it.

The soldiers saw Viktoria flee on the other side of the river. "C'mon! Quickly to the bridge! We'll be able to catch up easily now that she's on foot!" shouted the captain of the squadron.

Kyle caught up and began to follow after the squadron. She would not be able to escape.

"Decided to give up, have you? Good! Perhaps you'll learn to be good while in prison!" said the captain, getting off his horse to bind Viktoria up with a chain. "My, you sure are a pretty face..." he said with a cruel smirk. "It'd be a shame for you to be tarnished by any other man." he added, gripping her chin.

"Let go of her, now." ordered Kyle, catching up. "It's dishonorable and sick. Don't do it again." he demanded with disdain. He had always disliked this captain, who seemed to be in the job for the ladies and not to uphold the law.

Ignoring Kyle's orders, the captain approached again until his face was only an inch away from hers. "Such harsh words from such a pretty face. Let me help you stay silent." he said, then grabbed her and kissed her.

"STOP!" ordered Kyle,getting off his horse and running at the captain. He hit the captain on top of the head, knocking the man unconscious. "Forgive me. He is acting against conduct and will be demoted for this." he apologized calmly. "As for now, it's time to take you to the castle to put you in prison for questioning." he said, dragging her chains.
