Lila laughed, despite herself. She should have been horrified about what his parents thought, as well as her own. "I like it here, " she commented, "I don't want to leave yet, but I suppose we should. And, to be honest, my parents will probably think the same. They think I'm an innocent little girl. My mother even fought with my father, saying I'm not ready to be married. It's a laugh, really. There's been talk and rumors for quite some time around about me not being married yet. The people say I'm a prude. I just find all the men they bring to me so boring. They want two things. Power, and well..." she trailed off, looking at the wall across from them.
She pulled her knees closer to her, and rested her chin on them, pushing a few strands of hair out of her face while she did so. Her eyes weren't really sad, just reflective. "This is what they want for me, you know. Marry someone wealthy, someone who is supposedly worth something."
She gave a shrug, then looked over to him. She liked him. He was fun, spontaneous, and not bad looking. Though one thought did nag at her. If they did get married, would she be fun enough for him? Sure, she was happy to do all of this now, but how would they both act while under the pressure of ruling not one, but two kingdoms? She had never really been put under a lot of pressure, but the pressure she had been put under didn't make her buckle, or freeze, or break down. How would she feel about him ruling her kingdom, as well as his own? She'd be next to him, but he'd have the final say in everything, seeing as he'd be the king. She was protective when it came to her people.
She let her legs go, stretching them out in front of her, then crossed them once again. She rested her hands one either side of her, then let her head rest against the wall behind her, her gaze now looking up. She was a little chilly, but not miserably so. It was kind of a comfortable chill, if that made sense.
