Furio grinned, "No, I actually just came here from my goomah's apartment. I maybe old, but I'm still a cake-eater." he gave his niece a wink. "I will however, drink this wine." Furio reached into his pocket, bringing out a cigar, "Do you want one?" he offered to his niece.

Francesca Gattarini Passing a glass to her uncle she filled her own. "No, you can keep your cigars. I am glad you found a new playmate it seems a young girl working at the Rising Phoenix had her neck snapped after she was roughed up a bit. Seems the lady who owns it is on the war path." Francesca said with sigh. "Men have it easier finding a own to keep on the side and lay games with is easy, I wish I could find a man who would behave like a well trained lap dog and come and go as I told him, but it sees such things are in short supply." She sad as she corked the bottle and began swirling the red liquid in her glass.

He shrugged then clipped his cigar, giving it a few puffs as he lit it. "It's ashame how people act the way they do nowadays. Me and your father didn't conduct or allow stranzate like that. And if it did happen and we found out who did it, those guys fertilized tomatos." He took a deep drag drag from the cigar, releasing the smoke through his nose. "Quello che vuoi รจ una figa di un uomo. Tutto il meglio da quando si dispone di un dominio sulla natura."(What you want is a p***y of a man. All the better since you have a dominate nature)

Francesca Gattarini Francesca thought about what her uncle said then took a sip of her wine. "I agree but this truce between the Germans, Irish and us seems to dictate we play patty cake with our enemies, rather then send them to their maker. But, as far a weak an goes, they are hard to come by. The only ones I have meet see to think this little lost lamb needs a protector or they are afraid of dear old papa." She said with a smirk and a laugh. "Unless you know where I might find such an a musing man."

Jesse Valentini
"My God Jesse, you cleaned up real good today, you never clean up...What's the big deal?" His sister asked with a smile and a small giggle as Jesse simply chuckled before giving his sister a small hug and a kiss on the forehead, feeling blessed that her sister was at least able to still smile and laugh despite the loss they were going through. "I'm going out there in the world to get a better job, I can't support a family by driving a taxi all my life now can i?..." Jesse asked with a soft tone as Janine shook her head slowly at him with tears starting to swell up in her eyes. "Oh Jesse, you know you don't have to do this, You never signed up to take me and the baby in as your responsibility..." Janine pleaded as Jesse pressed his index finger to her lips with one hand as he held up his other index finger to his lips."Shhh...shh...Don't start stressing out on me, I did sign up for this, why? Because I wanted to and I love you and the baby very much, Tony would of wanted you and the little one to be safe and taken care of, and that's why I'm here...Anyway I'll see you around Jan, remember to rest easy..." Jesse replied as he gave his sister a peck on the cheek before heading out the door, taking a folded piece of paper with him from the coffee table before leading the door to get to his car. He then unfolded the paper to see the destination where he needed to go, and being a taxi driver, he was sure to not have too much of a problem finding this place. x~x~xArriving at his destination, Jesse looked over at the piece of paper to make sure that this was the place he needed to be, but with just a glance, Jesse knew that this was the place. Inhaling nervously as Jesse got out of his car, he dusted himself off as he tried to look as spiffy as he possibly could, the last thing he would want to do would be to offend people, especially these kind of people. Taking another breath, as if he was about to jump in the water, Jesse strolled in. Taking a good look around, he came to realization that it wasn't as shady as Jesse had imagined, he thought everyone would be throwing daggers at him through their glares, but to be honest, people in here looked like they were related to him, but with all these people, Jesse couldn't navigate his way into who to talk to about Tony. Looking around with a lost expression, he looked over to see a small group mingling as he just stepped within the circle and listened as he slowly build up the confidence to chine in."So...Does anyone know who's in charge around here? I have important business in reguards to my brother's death, so who do I go to?" Jesse asked in a calm manner and as politely as he could as people pointed over to the woman sitting with a senior aged man. Jesse's eyes widened slightly in surprise as he didn't know a woman would be the one to be in charge as he imagined a gruff looking man with three chins instead, shaking the stereotyped thought out of his head, Jesse cautiously approached the woman's table. "Um excuse me miss..."Jesse started hoping he didn't interruppted the two who were talking, Jesse froze for a second as he clumsily pulled out his wallet as he had to catch it from falling several times before taking out a picture of Tony as he then gently placed the photo on the table."I'm sorry to bother you ma'am, and sir...My name is Jesse Valentini and I came here today on behalf of my deceased brother-in-law, I understand that he had connections with you...His name was "Tony Bentolo"..." Jesse started hesitantly with the conversation as he could feel his heart pounding as he looked over at the elder man before looking over at the young dame, then lowered his eyes from their gaze to look at Tony's photo. ((ooc: I apologize if my post looks too long, its always the first one that's the worst, if you don't want to read it all the important stuff is underneath the x~x~x))

Francesca Gattarini "So you are the little brother in law, Tony spoke highly of you said you were a good kid." Gattarini said before she put out her cigarette. "If you want revenge, well you are a little late. The men responsible are down dockside. They had a dreadful accident involving a machine used for opening canvas cargo bags." As she finished speaking she gave a smile, she was quite pleased with herself. This had been a test and she not hesitated. "And don't worry your head Tony's wife is under my protection, you don't have to worry about me bothering her for anything." She answered the questions she figured he would ask. He was skittish enough she figured he was just asking for the mafia to stay away or that he had some green horned eye for revenge.

Jesse Valentini Jesse's eyes widened, utterly surprised that Tony mentioned his name and it seemed he talked really good about him too, Jesse smiled a small crooked smile when he herd this as he stared at his photo before picking it up and placing it back in his wallet before shoving it in his back pocket before looking back at the woman, trying hard not to stare as his eyes slowly averted from her alluring eye contact as he watched her put out her cigarette. "Wow, I never knew Tony spoke bout me, makes me wish he was still here even more now.." Jesse replied with a low tone as he thought about him for a minute before he snapped out of his thoughts when the woman told him about the certain 'accident' down at the docks who were responsible for Tony's death, but as shocked as he was to hear that they were already gone, Jesse was quick enough to put things into perspective...It's been a month since Tony's funeral, of course his mob members wouldn't just forget about something like that, but at least Jesse's suspicions were right. "Well I can't say that I'm disappointed, those guys had what was coming to them, and I'm grateful for that, thank you." Jesse implied with a small grin as the woman then spoke up about Janine, making Jesse freeze for a moment before he sighed with relief. "I thank you for keeping her protected, that means a lot to me, especially since she has a baby on the way, that's why I'm here...I'm not asking for any money, I'm asking for a way in." Jesse started as he started to feel his heart pounding once more as he tried to make sure he chose his words carefully. "I can't make jack with the job I have now, I need some way of income, besides, i have a suspicion that there was more to Tony's death then a couple of dudes popping caps..." Jesse implied in determination, feeling slightly faint as he wondered what the hell he was doing, he tried to convince himself out of the thoughts of revenge at this point, the only thing he really needed was the money to support Janine and the baby, since most of Tony's money went into his funeral.

Francesca Gattarini "Then take a seat." She said gesturing to the one to her left as she snapped her fingers to summon a waitress. "You best be sure, you want to do this, easily in but not easily out as they say." When the waitress appeared she she gave an order for a glass of wine for her uncle a bottle of champagne for the table and a beer for Jesse. As well as some bread sticks from the kitchen, being the owner had some real perks. "No Mr. Valentini what skills do you have that would make you useful to me?" She asked the young boy not patronizingly just very honestly.

Jesse Valentini As the woman gestured Jesse to take a seat, the man simply nodded as he sat down, feeling settled as he could feel his anxieties calm down, as she explained to him what it meant to be in Tony's shoes if he joined and knowing that this was a life changing decision, Jesse simply nodded as he saw a beer placed right infront of him by a waitress who passed by as he then picked up the bottle and popped the cap open. "Yeah, I figured Tony's life wasn't such a walk in the park, I already thought about it for a good long month, I'm positive about the choice I made coming here, I still want in ma'am..." Jesse replied with a sincere tone in his voice as he took a sip of the beer. When he was asked about his skills and how he would be of good use to her, Jesse didn't waste any moment to think about what he was good at. "Skills, hmm...Right now I work as a taxi driver, I give people rides to anywhere they need to be in Chicago, so you could say when it comes to location I know this city like the back of my hand, I'm also a good shot since Tony has taken me out to go shooting often since i was a kid...I think that's all the skills I got, I mean...When I drink enough I become a professional brawler, I must be good at that if people mistook me for an Irishman a while back." Jesse replied as he added light humor in the end of what really was his genuine answer to the list of skills that would prove himself worthy of the family.

Francesca Gattarini "Fair enough Mr. Valentini, you may call me Miss. Gattarini I run things around here. So as long as you have no problems witha woman ruling the roost, I could use a new driver. As far as the scraping and fighting in bars goes I would like to see that end if you work for me I don't need you getting picked up by the brass." As she spoke she held out her hand to shake Jesse's with it the deal and his fate would be sealed.

Jesse Valentini Jesse held his breath for a moment, taking another swig of his beer as he waited for what this woman had to say, to his surprise he never knew a woman could intimidate him, he wasn't sure if it was because of her breath taking looks, or the fact that she was a woman with power. But hearing her answer made his eyes widen as she told him that she needed a driver, making the man smirk, and hearing about his brawling days having to be no more, which was more relief to him as he knew that he may look like a tough guy, but when it came to physical fights...he honestly never fought anyone when he was sober."I never worked for a woman before, and I'm honestly glad to know I would be working for a lovely woman like yourself Ms.Gattarini." Jesse implied with a smile, trying to sound more like a gentleman and less like he was trying to flirt with her, not wanting to screw their little interview as he watched ms. Gattarini holding out her hand for him to shake and seal the deal, without the hesitation, Jesse was more than happy to become the new shofer as he reached his own hand out and held Gattarini's firmly as he shook on the deal. "You won't be disappointed Ms.Gattarini, I look forward to working with you, thank you." Jesse implied with a gracious tone, he could feel his blood rushing as he wasn't sure if it was the anxieties rising, or the joy he was starting to feel with the fact that he got accepted, it could of been both, because he knew damn well he had no idea what he was getting into, he only knew about the surface of it.

Francesca Gattarini With a pleasant smile on her face she shook Jesse's hand and then gestured to the bottle. "You are well spoken as well handsome, how nice. Now why don't we see if you are stong as well pop the cork to the bubbly and we will all have a drik to taost your joining our happy little family." Her tones were light and the words seemed to laugh. Her biggest weapon was her looks and her seeming carefree attitude, but it served to hide the cold calculating mind her father had instilled in her when she would sit at the table and hear him discuss buisness back in New York. Even now she knew some of her men would report back to 'papa' what she was doing. Francesca was determined that the little spies would return with nothing but stories that would make her father proud of her as he was of his sons.

Jesse Valentini Jesse couldn't help but feel the tinge of guilt that tugged at him, thinking back to the times he had spent with Tony, back when Tony was venting to him, because being in the family, there was no other person Tony could vent to, and knowing Janine well enough to know she would have a heart attack the only person he could really talk to would be Jesse, he acted like his counselor, telling him it would be alright, agreeing with why he would feel angry or depressed, deep down Jesse knew Tony wouldn't want this kind of life for him, but Jesse had to throw away that feeling, after all he wasn't in the same position as his brother-in-law, who seemed to be the guy who would go out and do the dirty hit work and was known to be the right hand man...he was almost perfection, that is, until his luck ran out...But Jesse knew he was no where near Tony's former position as the guilt then lied to rest as he took a piece of a bread stick and popped it into his mouth as he herd Gattarini complement him with a pleasant smile on her face as she pratically asked him to open up the bottle of champagne. With a smirk as he swallowed the bite he took of the bread and leaned over, grabbing the bottle. " Alrighty then, let's get this party started." Jesse replied with his natural Italian American accent chiming in his voice as he was easily able to pop the cork, with the waitress passing by and handing out the glasses, Jesse took one and filled it up as he then held it out for his new boss. "For you Miss. Gattarini." Jesse implied with a flash of his boyish grin as he was holding out her drink in one hand he filled the other glasses with the other without having to look at them, of course taking a glance he was actually shocked that he didn't miss a drop, other than accidentally overfilling one glass.

Francesca Gattarini She took the glass from him and smiled back. "Thank-you, you at least seem to have good manners impressive in this day." With the little compliment she waited for the others to get their glasses. Once her uncle had his she raised her glass,"to new family and healthy business." Her tone was emphatic although her voice was not the loud only a few wait staff preparing for the evening crowd could have heard her. This seemed to be her lucky day, as that very morning she had asked her uncle if he knew where she could get any new blood for her organization.

Jesse Valentini "You're very welcome Ms.Gattarini, as a now ex-Taxi driver I hear where you're coming from, a lot of A-holes walking about now a days, you would think they would be raised better than that, or at least have the common sense." Jesse replied with a smile, thinking back, he had lost count of how many asses he had to deal with in the past. After Jess filled up the other glasses he handed one to his new boss to pass down to her uncle as Jess then reached for his own and raised it up just as Gattarini did as she said her cheers, tugging a grin on Jesse's face as he nodded. "To the new family and healthy business indeed, cheers." He replied with a soft tone, he couldn't believe how smooth things were already, to think just as he was on his way here did he try to conflict with his common sense and consider to drive back numerous times, but with him sticking to the plan and going along with it, Jesse was more than happy that he rejected that annoying little voice in his head and instead, stuck with his gut in the end. Now Jesse had a new peace of mind as he now figured that with what he did would help his sister and the baby out greatly, feeling a sudden chill up his spine Jesse couldn't help but already feel uneasy, like someone was watching him, he discreetly glanced around the room, trying to make it seem like he was checking the place out, but no one seemed to be staring at him, as he took a sip of his champagne, he ha the feeling in his gut that felt like Tony was in the room with him right now, and he knew well that he had disappointed him, but he knew Tony wouldn't understand the big picture, he was always the kind of guy that would live for today, but Jesse was the man who wanted to live for tomorrow and the tomorrows after that.
