Dietrich Heimbrecht
German Mob Lieutenant (soldier)

User Image
(Life was so much simpler before the war.) He said as though he were recalling some long lost memory, "Seit es angefangen habe ich nie gelungen, genießen Sie einfach die Hügellandschaft rund um Berlin, und keines der anderen Schönheiten von Deutschland. Es war konstant chaotische Bewegung seitdem." (Ever since it started I never have been able to just enjoy the rolling hills around Berlin, or any of the other beauties of Germany. It's been constant chaotic motion ever since.) His voice trialed off, lost in the memories and the admiration of Heidi's beauty, her gentility, her soft nature. Everything was perfect before some Serbian rebel went and shot the Austrian Arch-duke. The Great War wasn't a war to end all wars. Rather it was a war that shattered a peaceful life and plunged the world into the chaos of modern times.

"Ja von, was ich verstehe, dass der große Krieg einer der falschsten Kriege in aller Geschichte bis jetzt war. Es muss diffucult sehr gewesen sein. Ich bin, also traurig können wir nicht zur ruhigen und einfachen Lebensdauer dessen."(Yes, from what I understand that the Great War was one of the worst wars in all history thus far. It must have been very diffucult. I am so sorry we cannot return to that serene and simple life we once had.) She said feeling bad for him and sad for the memories and niceties that they all lost at this point. Now they had their simple memories, horrors from the war, and the lifestyle of the mob. If it was before they would have been more than happy to live the honest and simple life in Germany but it was different now.

Heimbrecht smiled warmly at her, "Ich überdenken es die ganze Zeit, in meinen Erinnerungen." (I revisit it all the time in my memories.) He said before his smile got even brighter, "Wie die Stube Erwägungsgrund spielte ich bei Ihnen zu Hause. Angemeldet das Stück, dass Sie sagten klang wie Schubert war aber nicht?" (Like the parlor recital I played at your house. Remember the piece that you said sounded like Schubert but wasn't?) He left the question hang. It was a little known fact about him that his parents had made him study the piano as a child and he'd even learned to compose. He hadn't done it in a long time, but he knew one piece of music that he'd worked on just before the war started that he'd written with Heidi in mind. But he'd never told anyone.

The weeks had one by and other than growing tensions with the Chicago and Federal authorities, life had stayed relatively calm for the Germans. They’d been good about keeping their noses out of things, mainly because Eichmann knew that the Germans were probably the least popular group of people in the city, as far as organized crime went.
However that didn’t mean they weren’t being active. Eichmann had been security weapons and stockpiling them in the warehouses that were never left unguarded. The Germans were biding their time, but he knew that something big was going to be happening soon. Eichmann had been working in the criminal underworld, using the confusion that was going on in the city, particularly since the Feds had made an active presence, and had started a slow plan to assassinate the Dons and underbosses of the Italian Mafias.

Reinhard Eichmann
German Mob Boss

User Image
Eichmann walked into his office and hung his coat up, “Guten Morgen allerseits.“ (Good Morning everyone) He was in a rather good mood considering how he usually was. He moved his eyes to each of the people in his office. His underboss Adolf König, his most trusted Lieutenant Dietrich Heimbrecht, and his wife, and the true second in command of the German mob Heidi Eichmann. They were there to discuss the latest plans as the city became a beehive of activity. Eichmann walked over and sat at his desk, “Okay, wir haben eine Menge zu tun und ein sehr kleines Fenster, in dem Sie es zu tun. Das FBI haben alle auf der Kante, so müssen wir ruhig bewegen, aber ich denke, dass unsere intellegence hat die perfekte Zeit und Ort entdeckt, wenn wir unser Versuch auf die Italiener machen können.“ (Alright, we have a lot to do and a very small window in which to do it. The feds have everyone on edge, so we have to move quietly but I think that our intellegence has uncovered the perfect time and place when we can make our attempt on the Italians.) He looked at each of them, „Dietrich Ich brauche dich, um jemanden zu fashion uns einen guten alten Rohrbombe bekommen.“ (Dietrich I need you to get someone to fashion us a good old pipe bomb.) A clever smile came to his lips, „Diese auf der Don Auto platziert werden, während sie in Mass an diesem Sonntag sind, zu verstehen?“ (This will be placed on the Don's car while they are in Mass this Sunday, understand?)

Adolf König
German Mob-Underboss

König listened intently on what was being suggested but didn't think it was a very good idea. As much as he hated the Italians he didn't want to start a war unless they were to be ready. He was worried about the Feds and having to deal with both groups he felt it was more than they could handle especially if they had to also deal with other groups like the Irish as well. (Do you think that is the best idea? Dealing with the Federal Agents and the Italians? What if the Irish or anther group starts in. I don't know if is the best idea, it may be more than we can handle.)

Dietrich Heimbrecht
German Mob Lieutenant (soldier)

User Image
Deitrich Heimbrecht understood Eichmann without really having to get the full explanation. Heimbrecht had been Eichmann’s Chief of Staff durring the war. If anyone within the mob would understand what Eichmann wanted done it was Heimbrecht. However Heimbrecht was more than just a blind follower, he had once been one of the mob’s top Enforcers, promoted to Lieutenant when Eichmann assumed the mantle of leader. Now, instead of being out in the streets putting the fear of God into those who opposed the Germans, he co-ordinated hits and ensured that they were followed through on, or Heimbrecht’s retribution would be swift.
I can get Jödell to make the bomb. He's probably the best for it.) His mind started to work on how they would go about planting the bomb, Der einfachste Weg, es zu tun wäre, um sein Auto zu identifizieren, während Masse vor sich geht und pflanzen sie auf einem Timer.“ (Easiest way to do it would be to identify his car while Mass is going on and plant it on a timer.)

Reinhard Eichmann
German Mob Boss

User Image
Eichmann listened to his underboss and understood his concern, but Eichmann was a military officer, he knew how these things worked. If there was one thing he’d learned from The Great War it was, that one could get away with anything as long as they appeared to be re-acting to a greater threat, OR could make someone else out to be the malevolent force. It was sound thinking, sound thinking that had backfired for the German Empire at the close of the war, but a political theory that Eichmann was well invested in, “Die irische wird kein Problem sein. Sie scheinen ihre eigenen Pläne in den Werken haben. Außer, wenn Dietrich hier seine Magie wirken können dann die Italiener haben keine Ahnung, dass es uns. Es gibt mehrere andere Fraktionen in der Stadt, die die Italiener mögen. Außerdem ist es dann ermöglichen uns die Cadalyst müssen wir Nordosten schieben und bekommen einige Gebiete an der Küste.“ (The Irish won't be a problem. They seem to have their own plans in the works. Besides if Dietrich here can work his magic then the Italians will have no idea it was us. There are several other factions in the city that dislike the Italians. Plus it'll allow us the cadalyst we need to push north-east and get some territory on the waterfront.) Eichmann knew that König wasn’t military, he was a lawyer, and to have his legal opinion, but when it came to tactical decisions, Eichmann knew that König had little experience in that department.
Eichmann turned and looked at Heimbrecht and then to his wife, „Auch Dietrich, wenn man jemanden zu beobachten, nachdem Frau Eichmann zuordnen konnte, hat sie einige Einkäufe zu erledigen westlich von Little China an diesem Nachmittag.“ (Also, Dietrich, if you could assign someone to watch after Mrs. Eichmann, she has some shopping to do just west of Little China this afternoon.)

Adolf König
German Mob-Underboss

König listened to what was said. It reminded him of the foreign policies he learned about during the Great War. He also thought if they were to go through with it, it would be best if it was blamed on someone else to limit the amount that the Germans would have to worry about at least until this present time. "Ich würde zustimmen, dass dies ein besserer Plan ist, weil es compromizes nicht nur unser Plan, aber es nimmt die Schuld weg von uns. Ich sah diese Menge im Ersten Weltkrieg, und sie würden nicht erwarten."(I would agree that this is a better plan because it not only compromizes our plan but it takes the blame off of us. I saw this alot in the Great War and they wouldn't expect it.)

Heidi Eichmann
German Mob-Secret Underboss

User Image

Eichmann had assigned someone to guard Heidi Eichmann while she shopped in the Chinese mob district. Although the area was dangerous Heidi really enjoyed to outdoor market which had the ambiance of the old European marketplace where everything was outside and was fresh. She enjoyed purchasing fresh vegetables and rice for cooking dinner. Also the other good thing was that she could negation the prices with the Chinese since they loved to bargain. She really enjoyed making a home cooked meal with a good quality product so she went there about once a month to purchase her fresh food. Heimbrecht took it upon himself to be her escort. Although she loved spending time with her old romance she had mixed feelings about it. She loved her husband but at the same time she had a passion and sexual tension towards Heimbrecht as well as him having a special place in her heart for him because he was her first love and they met in Germany. She often thought of her life with Eichmann as well as what it would be like if Eichmann was to disappear where she could be with Heimbrecht. She had to come to terms with what she really wanted and make her decision and not lead anyone on or betray either one of them. There was so much to lose here because she was the German mob mother where she had a critical role. She was happy in some capacity but longing which was very uncomfortable. She continued to day dream as she browsed the market having some casual conversation with Heimbrecht trying to not get too close to him until she knew what she wanted.

Dietrich Heimbrecht
German Mob Lieutenant (soldier)

User Image
Heimbrecht nodded slightly as Eichmann explained the pre-war policy. He’d heard it a million times being an officer in the Imperial army before resigning and imigrating to the US. That had been an interesting choice. He’d told Eichmann he would move there because of his loyalty to his former commanding officer, but there was another reason that it honestly seemed Reinhard Eichmann was completely unaware of, and that was the blonde sitting next to his boss. Heidi and he had once been sweethearts. Many hours were spent in her home in just outside of Berlin. Heimbrecht was a rather accomplished musician and in their younger days Heidi had been his muse. Many a sonata had been written with her in mind. However Heimbrecht’s famiy wasn’t seen as well enough placed, and so Heidi’s hand had been given to a young Captain in the German army, Reinhard Eichmann.
Heimbrecht had of course obeyed this and kept his distance but he could never wipe the care he had for Heidi. However he’d been professional, and had even come to respect Reinhard Eichmann as a military officer and his commander, but the jealousy that Heimbrecht felt towards him wouldn’t die. He’d wished so many times that a bullet had struck him during the war, allowing Heimbrecht to persue his love for Heidi.
That was why he’d always been the one to escort Heidi. It was the one of the few opportunities he’d had to spend time with her, to honestly spend time with the woman he loved. His heart leapted slightly as Eichmann told him to make sure she was safe through the Chinsese district, “Ja, Boss ich erledigt, nehmen können.“( Yeah, Boss I can take care of that.) He said with a slight smile and a quick look at Heidi before returning to focus on his boss.

Eichmann nodded approvingly at Heimbrecht’s response before looking at König and then back to Heimbrecht, “Ja, es hat gut funktioniert. Daneben müssen wir ausbauen. Wir brauchen Wohnraum, in die wir erweitern können. Was wir wirklich brauchen, ist Ufergegendeigenschaft, so können wir Dinge einbringen aus Kanada, wie die Iren und die Italiener tun.“ (Yes it worked well. Besides that we need to expand. We need living space into which we can expand. What we really need is waterfront property, so we can bring stuff in from Canada like the Irish and the Italians do.) Eichmann walked over to the large map oft he city he had on his wall and pointed to he coridore that ran between the Italians and the Chinese, „Wir müssen diesen Korridor zu sichern, so dass wir unser Inventar von den Docks, um unsere Lager zu bekommen. Der Trick ist, müssen wir es ohne Alarm oder Störung diesen Waffenstillstand zu tun. Sobald eine andere Gruppe hat, dann können wir unsere Bewegungen offener, und mit viel mehr furver aber bis dahin müssen wir alles ruhig tun.“ (We need to secure this corridor so we can get our inventory from the docks to our warehouses. The trick is we have to do it without causing alarm, or disrupting this truce. Once another group does THEN we can make our moves more open, and with much more furver but until then we have to do everything quietly.) He explained as he looked at the three in the room.

Heidi picked up some romaine lettuce, green beans, carrots, garlic, and Asian rice as she continued looking for other produce. She gently smiled at Heimbrecht but didn't act too friendly. After all the was kind enough to escort her so she didn't have to be alone.

Adolf König
German Mob-Underboss

König nodded. It sounded now more like a solid plan if they could make it work and work out the blame. König's only fear is that the other mobs would be doing the same such as committing acts against certain mobs and blaming on different mobs causing an all out war with all the nationalities. König was beginning to think that the Germans couldn't trust any of them due to this. "Das klingt nach einem festen Plan. Mein einziger Gedanke ist jedoch, dass auch andere Mobs könnten das gleiche tun. Die irische könnte sabataging uns und schiebt es auf die Chinesen oder die Chinesen könnten tun und die Schuld auf die Spanier. Wir müssen uns bereit, in einer ganzen Krieg mit allen nationalties sein, wenn dies wahr ist. Niemand ist zu trauen ist." (This sounds like a more solid plan. My only thought however is that other mobs might be doing the same. The Irish could be sabataging us and blame it on the Chinese or the Chinese could be doing it and blame it on the Spanish. We have to get ready to be in an all out war with all the nationalties if this is true. No one is to be trusted.)

Reinhard Eichmann
German Mob Boss

Eichmann nodded in response to his underboss, “Sie sind wahrscheinlich, was zu unserem Vorteil. Angemeldet wird dies unserer Zeit. Wir sind Deutsche. Wir sollten den Krieg gewonnen haben, wenn wir nicht da gewesen von den verdammten Politiker Back-erstochen. Wir sind ihnen überlegen!“ (They probably are, which can work to our advantage. Remember this will be our time. We are German. We should have won the war, if we hadn't been back-stabbed by the damned politicians. We are superior to them!) Eichmann’s tone conveyed the disapointment and the utter anger that he felt towards the German poltical parties, particularly the Social-Democratic and the Catholic Center Parties. Many in Germany had blamed the end oft he war on the civilians feeling as though the military who, as far as the German public knew, were on the brink of winning the war, had been undercut when the civilians had signed the armistece.
Eichmann shook his head, „Wir nehmen diese Stadt! We will take this city! We will rise and show them what Germans can do.) With a firm nod, Eichmann took off his coat and sat down at his desk, „Nun gehen Sie mit dem Bombenbauer zu verbinden und die Fortschritte begann auf diesem Plan.“ (Now go connect with the bomb maker and get the progress started on this plan.)
