 Shayla Fagan Shay was let in by the back service entrance. Once she was directed to the changing room leaving all the boxes but one, which she tucked under her arm, she wheeled her cart into the corner or the room and waited to speak with Miss. Walters. All she needed now was the final 'OK' on her finished work, the next order and most importantly hey pay check. Shay thought she may have recognized the man Miss. Walters was speaking with but told herself she must just be seeing things.

John Dillinger "She sounds promising." John said as he acknowledged the woman who approached the table with a quick glance. "I think someone's in need of your attention Miss Walters." Dillinger said as he took another drink and relaxed a little more.

 Fiona HayesFiona's heels clicked as she walked to her new job. She had felt so terrible when she had quit the job at the library. The old woman's face was full of hurt. 'The price you pay,' Fiona thought. She was a half an hour early, as she stepped into the Rising Phoenix. She noticed Rose talking to a man, who looked very familiar to her, and a women with a cart, who might be the dress maker. Fiona decided to sit down at the bar and wait.

 Rose Walters "Rose smiled "don't go away. It is just the costume woman waiting for her check." Then she turned to see Fiona "ah, and that lovely new song bird I was telling you about." Rose had been expecting Shayla and already had the check and the new order written out. After she took it from behind the bar and handed it to the woman. Shayla in return gave her the box, Rose was please with the dress and held it out to Fiona. "Well Fiona my dear it appears the midnight gala costumes are here. Try this on." The tops of the gown was black silk with little rhinestones in it. the bottom skirts were layers of black, dark purple and dark blue gossamer cloths. The layers were enough not to show skin unless you popped your hip out. Then you would give the audience a nice flash of leg. The perfect thing for her big gala to make The Rising Phoenix the place to be in Chicago.

Shayla Fagan Taking her check and her order, Shayla grabbed her cart and started the long walk back to the Agincourt apartments. She would have a long time to get on this order. It would be easier now that she had someone to help her get silks.

Fiona Hayes Fiona admired the beautiful dress. She had never owned anything this beautiful in all her life. Fiona could not wait to put it on. She quickly went to the dressing rooms to try the gown on. The gown fit like a glove. It clung to her body in all the right places and if she moved her hip a certain way, her leg would show. The gossamer skirt swished around her legs as she twirled around, admiring herself in the mirror. Fiona was not vain, but to own something so grand, she just could not help but admire her image.

Rose Walters Laughing lightly she returned to John's side. Rose remembered the days when she was as enthusiastic as Fiona, but unlike her Fiona had real talent. If she played her cards right she could really become a star, not just in the Phoenix but in Chicago. maybe even get a chance to go to New York and Broadway. For now however she would get her wings on her stage. The big debut was not far off, and things could not be looking better.

John Dillinger" Well it seems like you've really been able to liven the place up a bit." John said as he took another drink. The place really seemed different since the last time he was here. It seemed more lively. " So what kinda people you get in here these days?"

Rose Walters "we have dancers and singers, like miss Fiona. But, many of the girls will do even more to entertain you for the right price." Rose said coyly. "Shall I reserve a table for you for the gala. I know these are your kind of ladies." Rose gave him a playful wink as she waited for his reply. It was something many of the papers ran with. Dillinger hid in 'hen houses' all the time.

John smirked. " Sounds good. So how many cops do you get in here?' Dillinger asked as he took a quick look around the room. He wasn't worried about any police being around, but it helps to know you aren't gonna be thrown into prison.

Rose Walters "A handful or so, but photos of them with my girls and engaging in certain activities make them rather well behaved. After all the papers would love to have those photos, and I ma sure their wives would be most interested in it as well." Rose had an evil and triumphant smile as she spoke. "So, my dear old friend you won't be bothered here, if they cause a fuss, I will make them suffer."

John DillingerJohn let out a short laugh. "Sounds like you've got everything under control. Nice to have a safe safehouse, not a lot of em left." Dillinger said as he remembered how he was caught the last time.

Rose Walters Rose leaned in to give him a playful peck on the cheek. "You are always safe with me dear heart." Letting out a light laugh she had a girl bring him another beer while she had some champagne. "Perhaps maybe you will stick around for a time now. We have missed you here John." Rose had few friends, so anyone who did not immediately look down on her for her job.

Rose Walters "Some nasty infighting among the Asians, and the Germans and Irish are constantly mixing it up. While the Italians are trying to corner the market on flesh, even tried to take this place over. If you want more, I am sure the ladies could get some more information." She said before taking a long sip of her drink.
