Willow's tail twitched, as she watched the head crab zombie. Her ears twitched, as she watched the gnomes brought in different fruits. There was a small hum as they were allowed to make the baskets.
She picked up different fruits looking at them, each taking a moment to stare thoughtfully turning them over before sitting them down and going to the next. The problem was, she didn't know much about fruit.
She paused finally picking up some starfruits, boafox cherries, and she paused debating over lemons or oranges, finally picking the oranges to suit the basket. Her tail twitched as she moved to find a place to put it together. She hoped that these would look good together and she could put them together, nicely.

When they were finally given permission to start working on the baskets Zurine happily picked out a basket and proceeded to fill it with well..really she picked fruit that she thought looked best together rather then any sort of taste compatibility. In any case she was glad to be doing something - though she wasn't entirely sure that a basket of fruit was really going to help thing's all that much. None the less she set about arranging her fruit in the basket in the nicest looking way.Quote: Basket Complete! Contents: boafox cherries, booberries , caramel apples, pineapples

After some time and a few redos. Willow was finally happy with her basket. It sat there nicely mixed with oranges, boafox cherries and starfruit. Her tail flickered happily as she touched up a few places that looked like they could use some extra bits of fruit.
However, something was missing....... Willow's brow lofted as she looked and looked at the fruits offered, she moved and picked up grapes and added them to the basket. She churred happily as she nodded pleased. That looked awesome in the byakko's opinion.Quote: Basket Complete!Contents: starfruit, boafox cherries, oranges and grapes.

Oh. Her. West's frown got a bit frownier as the janitor joined them, her cloying happiness a bit too much for him at the moment. It seemed all those warnings about no fighting were true then, unless... He had admittedly been a bit emo when he had last responded to one of Moira's cries for help, but he hadn't forgotten the molerat-related explosions he had borne witness to. Still, he couldn't imagine how fruit could be as fun, no matter what one did with it. The wrath demon shuffled over to the table and chose the spikiest fruits he could to start, picking another couple of smaller ones simply because they looked utterly useless. He doubted the horsemen wanted fruit anyway. It wasn't like fruit could kill hunters, at least not that he knew of. Ah! "Poison," he muttered under his breath as he slammed a lemon into his basket with an unnecessary amount of force. If he wasn't allowed to throw the fruit, at the very least he could smack it around a little. "Mebbe they could put poison in..." West turned sharply toward the ghoul to his left in response to her muttered question, as if her voice had somehow been the only thing to force him to recall he was in a room full of people. She had no head, much like another ghoul he hadn't seen in a long time, but unlike Alwine, this one's head was nearby and he made a point to address it when he spoke. "They're mostly dead," he replied with a sneer. "They were s'posta help us n'now they're mostly dead. Sure they'll 'preciate the fruit though."Quote: Basket Complete! Mei was excited. Fruit baskets?! She loved fruit! And baskets! Only she kinda wished they could decorate the baskets a bit more, to make them even more special. Oh well. The ghoul shrugged as she made her way along the tables. Picking cherries, pineapples, pears and starfruits. A little bit of tangy mixed with just a bit of sweet. That was how she liked her mixed fruit. Surely whoever got her basket could appreciate the mix! After she had gathered all her fruit and placed it nicely in the basket Mei set it aside. Awaiting the next part of the class. This had been simple enough. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted a familiar headless ghoul. "Darcy!" Mei waved her arm to get her attention before grabbing her basket and skipping on over to the other ghoul. "Glad to see you getting more involved in classes now that you are partially settled in." She grinned widely. Quote: Basket Complete! Contents: boafox cherries, pineapples, prickly pears, starfruit

Darcy shifted her head to face the demon who had replied to her question. Which honestly she didn't want anyone hearing, though she did say she wanted to learn more about them. "I think they need more then just fruit then, will this be enough to please them?" Sort of an open question but mostly directing it to the demon in question. Shocking to say the least she couldn't even imagine it. "Almost gone, and mostly dead?" Though that answered what happened to them it did not in fact answer who they where really. Before she felt like melting away she heard a familiar voice. Thank the stars someone familiar and friendly was gracefully coming over and Mei sat on the other side of her. "Good day Mei!" Showing her pointed toothy grin. "Yes an what an interesting beginning to introduce myself to everyone." Turning her head to grin at the demon then looking back over at Mei. "Nice basket you have, wish they had more individuality to be honest though." Suddenly leaning her head closer to Mei's ear, hoping not to freak her out, she whispered. "What did you do on your trip?" Hoping it didn't bring any dismay as this seemed more then just an innocent school trip.

"Mmhmm!" The smaller ghoul nodded her head quickly, eyeing the demon who had been offhandedly speaking to Darcy with slightly skeptical dark brown eyes. "Well at least you are trying unlike some folks who just sit about in the dorms all day. And that's all that really matters."Mei ran her finger along the edge of her basket . "Yeeeeaaaa. I wish we had like some ribbons or flowers or OH beads or jewels....maybe some stickers to put on them." Now she poked at the body of her basket. "Maybe that will be something we do next? Though you would think one would decorate the basket before putting fruit in. But oh well." She could just imagine how pretty she could make her basket if she was able to add some doo dads or bobbles onto it. She bit her bottom lip at Darcy's question. "Well, the first part of the trip I was in a jewelry crafting class. It wasn't anything fancy but it was neat. The second part I was in an ink painting class." Putting a finger against the scroll upon her forehead she furrowed her brow. "After that its....kinda fuzzy..." She didn't really like talking about what happened afterwards. On occasion she still had nightmares.

Making a smirk and putting a hand to her side her eyes started sparkling bright emerald. "That's for the lazy ghouls, I wanted to get into the action and jump into a class right away!" Brushing her bangs out of her face and peering over at the headcrab zombie looking away for a second. "Didn't stay in there too long cause it was boring and dead quiet." Playing with her face a bit, sort of a weird habit other then tugging on her clothes. Looking over the poor naked basket Darcy nodded slowly. "Yeah something cheery would be nice, possibly even colorful cloth and some shiny trinkets?" Her essence coming from her neck and out of her head shined a little brighter probably from the thrill of being with her friend. "It might get a little dirty if we do get to decorate it now but a little dirt never hurt anyone, right?" Pondering this for a second then brushed the thought away. Mei's facial expression made it look like she was in pain but her reply was quite sane and innocent to her ears. "Crafting and painting will defiantly boost your creativity skills." Staring at the note upon her forehead then making a confused look. "Fuzzy hmm..." Feeling like she just hit a brick wall she impatiently waited for the next step in her class. Hoping to break ice later if she can.

Danny followed quickly after Roch, rolling her eyes as he attempted to bite down on the food and got fruitblocked by a gnome. Roch WOULD be the one to try and eat all this food.
Sighing, she went over to the table and immediately picked out oranges and pumpkins. They were both orange well ... she just liked the color orange (wonder why...). Next she picked out some prickly pears because they had the word prickly in them, and when she said it, it made her giggle a little.
Not really caring about the last thing she grabbed, she reached over into Roch's basket and stole some of his starfruits, only to laugh and throw some of the fruit from the table into his basket. Seeing as it was all evened out, it didn't particularly matter.
"S'your bike finished yet?" she asked, getting annoyed with all the silence.Quote: Basket Complete! Contents: Oranges, Prickly Pears, Pumpkins, Starfruits

Once the students had begun assembling their baskets, everything seemed calm and peaceful - that is, until Moira theatrically threw her hands up in the air. "Oh-no-these-are-the-wrong-fruits-what-a-terrible-mistake," she said, in a loud but stilted voice, as if she were badly reading a scripted line. "We-will-have-to-get-rid-of-them-too-bad-so-sad."There was a rumble in the distance. The floor shook. And a herd of Trashbots shoved through the far doors. "Oh-no-they-might-hurt-the-students-we-must-do-something," Moira shouted, woodenly, then made an imperious gesture. "Gnomes!" In an instant, the students found themselves being herded by the gnomes, shoved into a tight group with Moira at the center of the huddle. The zombie ducked down conspiratorially, whispering to the group, her voice returned to its normal cadence. "Listen," she hissed, "I know you spookies have... had to do a little extra fighting lately. Maybe some people think you should be helpless, but I don't." She poked her head up out of the huddle as if checking for some people before ducking down once more. "So we're going to do a little practice. Don't worry, spookies - my Trashbots won't knock you out! Take the baskets you made and use them... if you have to fight, you gotta use anything you have to stay safe! Got it?"That said, the zombie straightened (as much as she could, at least) and looked at the herd of obediently idling Trashbots. "We-must-defeat-them-for-the-good-of-the-school," she said, again in that loud, stilted voice. Phase Two: FIGHT! You will be using the fruit basket you assembled in Phase One to aid you in defeating a Trashbot! There are enough Trashbots for each student to practice one-on-one. Here are the bonuses you get from your fruit basket choices. You must stick to the baskets you made in the first round and may not swap out one fruit for another. No trading or swapping or giving other people your fruit! EXCEPTION: if you somehow picked a basket made entirely of fruit labeled "no effect", you can roll 1d4 once to swap out ONE of your fruits. If you roll a 1, you get an offensive fruit; 2 = defensive fruit; 3 = healing fruit; 4 = you can freely choose one fruit of any type. This also applies to anyone who did not do Phase One: assume you have a basket with three no-effect fruits and roll 1d4 to determine the ONE special fruit you get.Offensive Fruits - Lemon: These are actually combustible lemons. Lob at your opponent to create a burst of fire! To use a lemon, roll 1d6, and multiply your result by 2 to get the damage you deal. - Pineapple: More like pineapple grenade! One of these can seriously inconvenience an enemy. To use a pineapple, roll 1d12: the damage you deal is the amount you roll. Defensive Fruits - Caramel Apples: Sticky! So sticky that throwing them at a Trashbot gums up their gears and makes them slo~ow down. To use an apple, roll 1d4: the number you get is the number of rounds your Trashbot's auto-damage drops to 2HP/turn. - Prickly Pear: This sharp and pointy fruit acts as a natural caltrop. Throw them to the floor to scatter the thorns as a barrier! To use a prickly pear, roll 1d6. If you roll an odd number, the Trashbot does not attack you next turn! If you roll even, it still attacks, but for half damage. Healing Fruits - Boafox Cherries and Pumpkin: Mmm, tastes like hit points. To use, roll 1d8: the number you get is the amount you are healed by. DURING THE TURN IN WHICH YOU HEAL, YOU TAKE NO AUTO-DAMAGE. Fruits with No Effect Starfruit, grapes, booberries, orange. Battle Details:Since this isn't in the Gymnasium, your FEAR (and any learned abilities) is locked down! Instead, you can choose when to deploy the special effects of your selected fruits. Once you use a fruit, that item is consumed and cannot be used again. Obviously, you can use your normal melee attacks (basic dice rolls) to attack the Trashbots too. Trashbot Stats:All Trashbots have 40HP, and do 4 auto-damage per turn - this is damage that you take regardless of if your own attack hits or misses, unless you use a fruit with a defend effect! Your Trashbot will also stop attacking and shut down when your student hits or drops below 10HP, at which point your fight is over. It is impossible to dissipate in this class, for once! Your goal is to defeat your Trashbot, if possible. If it isn't possible, don't worry - at least you got some great practice in! For flavor purposes, the Trashbots are 7 foot tall metal robots that look like they were built out of scrap metal. Some have legs, some have claws, some have treads. They make no noise other than mechanical sounds (hydraulic hisses, clanks, gear clicks/rasping, etc.). They all have long arms and shovel or claw-like 'hands'. At the bottom of each post, please include the following: HP: your student's HP Trashbot HP: the HP of the Trashbot you are fighting Damage: what damage you dealt this turn Item Used: if you are using a fruit, if not, put N/A Item Effect: if any, otherwise put N/A. Items Remaining: list the items in your basket that you have yet to use FRESHLY ADDED BONUS MECHANICS: If you deactivate your Trashbot, you can help others! CLICK HERE for details! This phase of the class will end at 8:00 pm PST on Wednesday, May 23rd!

Mei snorted at Darcy's comment about the dorms. Covering her mouth with her hands, her shoulders shook from a quiet laugh that she tried to keep anyone else from hearing. "Well that's one way to put the Undead dorms! But I am glad you decided to come out. You are fun to be around Darcy and there really isn't anyone else here at the moment that I really know.""The jewelry crafting class was pretty neat. I hadn't done anything like it. Though I've gotten those little kits before that had thread and plastic beads in different shapes. I didn't do too well at painting though, mostly it came out as a big black blob." The ghoul stuck her tongue out just slightly. Before she knew it the next part of the class had begun. Mei quirked an eyebrow at the strange way Moira was speaking but as soon as the trashbots came out she frowned heavily. She thought they wouldn't be fighting in this class? Mei felt a little...jipped perhaps? She wasn't entirely sure that was what she was feeling. But as they were all shuffled into a group, she clutched her basket to her chest. Her head craning backwards so that she could stare up at the extremely tall trashbot in front of her that flailed it's arms wildly. She was unsure, but grabbing a pineapple from her basket Mei hurled it at the trashbot. It clinked against it's metal body before dropping to the ground in front of the metal machine. Mei watched it for a moment before a sudden, small, explosion sent bits and pieces of the fruit this way and that. She pulled an arm up to protect herself from any flying fruit bits. Though it didn't seem to phase the trashbot all that much, of course, did anything really phase a machine? Perhaps she should have picked up a bigger one. Maybe it would of have more of a pop to it. ------ HP: 26/30 Trashbot HP: 36/40 Damage: 4 Item Used: Pineapple Item Effect: Offensive attack! Jericho's expression fell as it seemed that they had a fight on their hands here.
"We don't think the horsemen will be getting these fruit so much any more..." he uttered to Shehk as he saw the bots come looming in towards them. He shifted a little uncomfortably. Normally, he'd be all hotblooded and rearing to fight, but he was nervous here. What would happen if he messed up and got himself dissipated even though Moira said they wouldn't knock them out? Would the Insanity take over?
He tried hard to not think about it.
Grabbing the caramel apple, he first chucked it at one of the trashbots to get that out of the way. It splattered onto it pretty solidly. Alright. It was time to get close and personal now.

Gritting his teeth, Jericho watched the trashbot wheel in closer before he rushed towards it, clenching his fist to punch it. However, the bot just sort of launched its own fist out, knocking him back before he could even really hit it. Stumbling back, the dragon quickly gripped onto his cloak to keep it from flying off of him. He did not want it to come off.
Not here.
Too many people around.
He was going to need to move carefully.

After making sure that his cloak was secure, Jericho glanced to the other students briefly before nervously looking at the trashbot once more. It wasn't moving away and it soon struck him once again. Grunting, he staggered back. He had to hit it in return.
Since it was still close to him, Jericho struck low, towards its abdomen region, managing to land a fairly solid blow.

Wanting to get this done quickly before he could be disabled or have his cloak fly off of him in the middle of battle, Jericho held his position and struck the robot once more with his other fist. He received another hit from the trashbot in return, but he held his ground.
