Ellianna's gentle smile grew as she looked down at the giant marble tabletop. "Do not be concerned with my safety, Cervantes."

"I've survived this long, haven't I?" the smile that stretched across her face was a true smile wide enough to take up her entire face. The first real smile she wore in a long time.

Cervantes shrugged "Sure but odds are they will get bolder and bolder before they actually try to kill you, I'm gonna make sure it doesn't happen." he said "So please, keep with your guards, its for your own good." he said however her real smile was a little mysterious. She was obviously capable of more than she let on. XD

▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄xx▄xx▄x▄▄▄▄x▄xx▄xx▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ►► Ellianna chuckled a bit. What Cervantes didn't know was that there had been multiple assassination attempts on Ellianna before she even dreamed of bringing the Lunar Kingdom into the war. "As you wish." was her only response.
"M'lady," a servant entered the room just after knocking hastily twice. The poor young woman looked quite shaken and even slightly terrified. "My apologies for interrupting, but there's a woman here who demands an audience with you."
Ellianna sighed. "Of course there is. Um, Christina," the servant woman turned and started paying close attention to Ellianna. "Could you show Prince Cervantes here his room? He and his guard will be staying with us for quite some time."
"Of course, Your Majesty." with that, Christina left.
"I apologize for that. I suppose I shall see you at dinner, then. One of my servants will call on you." Ellianna nodded slightly and excused herself as her long white gown struggled to keep up with the fast-walking queen.

"Inheritor to Pluto, Neptune, Saturn, Crow. Cervantes watched her walk off and looked at the servant and gave a slight bow before extending his wings and flying out the window. He didn't plan to stay here right now he wanted to make sure his men were in the right position and send a message for archers and riders from his own kingdom. It took maybe a few hours but he returned to the castle and sat in their grand library reading up on the kind of kingdom this was and about the past rulers they had.

Cervantes wasn't here yet, but Ellianna was certain that her servants would get him. She sighed and took her seat at the head of the table where her father used to sit and sat down behind a beautifully placed array of silver plates, bowls, and utensils. Off to her right was the exact same set up for the prince.

Cervantes suddenly approached from behind "Hey princess, they said you wanted me." he smiled "Is something the matter?" he asked her as he sat down in one of the other places set and looked at her. He crossed his arms and looked around the dining hall. It was impressive.

"If that would make you feel more comfortable, then I shall heighten my personal security. But I would like to assure you that..." Ellianna stopped suddenly just as she was about to cut into her roast beef. "Never mind."
Devion slammed his fist into the giant oak table in front of him. "Damn it!"
"My liege, perhaps if we-"
"Silence, you fool! Because of you my perfectly fool-proof plan was shattered." Devion's voice dripped with venom. His eyes were ablaze with hatred and anger. The Captain flinched back, Devion's voice startling him. "Everything was perfectly planned out. There weren't any holes..." Devion's voice calmed a bit as he lost himself in thought. "Gah... I've got to win my kingdom back... Ellianna will fall. I don't care if she has formed an alliance with the Lunar Kingdom. I shall see to it personally that she meets her demise." Devion stood up, knocking his oak dinning chair to the ground. "That's a promise."

Cervantes stared 'Princess the security is fine and will be fortified in three days." he said "That's not the problem here, its just that I've only been on earth and in my kingdom but never here." he said "Its impressive but I guess I don't like the official air here." he said and sighed "I've been trying to act serious but I can't take it. Is your kingdom always official?" he removed his blackened crown and looked up "Back home things were fun and I know its dangerous but we still had fun in war, at dinner we talked about more than security and the problem, we played small games and shared fabricated stories of conquest and victory." he and began to eat his mashed potatoes. The Prince loved mashed potatoes as his favorite food or second favorite behind any type of curry. He looked at her "I know your worried but you need to wind down a bit, act like ya know...a girl not a queen..you can still have fun." he said.

She stared over at him with her lips slightly parted, her golden eyes wide, and her fork hovering over her plate. Ellianna's mouth slowly closed as she lowered her fork and her gaze back down to her plate. As much as she didn't want to admit it, Cervantes was right. Ellianna never did really have much of a childhood. But could that really be helped? Both of her parents were dead and her brother was in exile. That left her to run the kingdom. The princess's calm demeanor quickly came back to her. "And what would my people think if I were to stroll about the castle like a lovestruck, power-happy teenage girl?" Ellianna raised an eyebrow and picked up her wine glass with a glove-clad hand and took a sip of the deep red liquid.

Cervantes sighed "That your human princess." he said "Your like a machine, you have no life in you and your really about as interesting as toast." he said "I mean really my father runs an entire kingdom and he still has fun, when we're not at war or worried about immediate threats just live a little, let your hair down a little crack and smile and laugh for once." he said "And not one of your horrid princess smiles." he said "I mean a real smile." he said. He knew he was being rude but honestly she was gonna end up killing herself.

I never have liked being such an uptight p***k." What was wrong with her? She was letting her cool slip just because some prince wanted her to? But Ellianna couldn't help it. The need to be herself around Cervantes was tugging at the back of her mind like a bad headache. It was certainly something she couldn't ignore. "Your father is an admirable man. Being able to run the Lunar Kingdom so seamlessly and still be able to enjoy life. I must say I envy him a bit."

It looked like he was getting through to who she really was and he was glad "Being uptight in unhealthy, especially for your sanity." he said and leaned back "Yep, my father is quite the noble man, a great man which is why I agreed to help." he said "I was gonna help you and learn to be a hero but I still wanna retain the fun." he said "That is an advantage we have over people, the ability to enjoy life and still be minded on the task when it needs."

But her pleasant smile started to fade as a cold trickle made its way up the princess's spine. Ellianna felt the air shift a bit from high above the giant doors that led into the dinning hall. Just as she was about to turn to see what was causing the disturbance, a fireball flew past Ellianna's face, in the exact same place that her head would have been had she not moved. She didn't need her eyes or her powers to know who had sent that attack down upon her.
"To assault me in my own home, how daring." Ellianna stood from her seat to face the shadowed figure. Guards came running in from every entrance to the hall, looking around, not seeing what Ellianna could. "To think that even you could stoop so low... Devion."
Devion scrunched up his face. He had been so careful not to make a sound, but he had gotten careless towards the end. He had charged up his attack without thinking of the air around him. Damn her. "You're not safe here. You never shall be. The only place you should ever feel safe is Earth; the accursed place I was banished to."
