Faint, splashing sounds can be heard, one after another, as if though someone were running through an endless succession of puddles. The sound is similar to a large raindrop breaking against a rock. Upon closer listening, it is realized that that the sound is footsteps. Watery footsteps. The footsteps are coming from a delicate form that can be seen gliding smoothly across the floor, followed by a long, flowing cascade of blue hair. The shape is completely made of water, but it has the profile of a young girl. A smile can be seen on the liquid lips, and the area that would be the eyes are bright and sparkling. As the form solidifies, you can tell that it truly is a girl. Not a human girl, but a water nymph. She runs like a river over the smooth white marble of the school's hallway floor, rushing to get to class. She is a college student, excited about her first day, and her first class. She is looking forward to making new friends this year, no matter what creature they may be. She smiles, her smooth, pretty face illuminated by the simple expression of joy.
She finally approaches the classroom door, a large, ornate structure carved out of a sweet-smelling, sturdy wood. The wood had been sanded smooth and polished until is had a soft gleam to it. She reaches out, her hand now soft flesh, and touches the doorknob. It is cold, made of silver. Upon closer inspection, you can see that the door has strange symbols engraved into it. Not able to understand the letters, and too excited about school to worry herself too much about it, the nymph turns the knob and pushes the door open. It makes a loud creak as it opens to a large, spacious classroom. It is devoid of life, but the decorations are beautiful.
The walls are the same gleaming white marble as the floor. There are numerous wooden desks in an organized block. The wood is not the same as the door, but a darker, denser, stronger-scented wood. The chairs are the same silver as the doorknob, and all show extremely intricate designs detailed into them. There is a large chalkboard in the front of the room, and a number of pieces of white chalk in the tray. In front of the board, on the right side, is another desk. It is much larger than the other desk, although it is made of the same material. It faces the rest of the desks, so it obviously belongs to the teacher. It has only a silver name plate on it, and nothing else. She is curious to see what it said, but instead she turns to the back of the classroom. There is clean, pristine lab made of stainless steel set up in the back. There is a number of empty glass beakers, test tubes, and other lab equipment on the tables. There's also glass-front cabinets, stainless steel stools around the matching tables, and jars filled with what looked like pickled animals.
Done with observing her surroundings, she glides across the floor and into the desk in the back right of the class. Looking around to make sure that she was alone, she takes out her bottle of water and removes the lid. Using her powers, she makes the water flow out of the bottle and hover in the air around her. She laughs; it is a musical, twinkling sound. She loves to play with water, and she weaves the droplets between her fingers, swirling it around the desk, and making bubbles float around the room. She is absorbed in her play, not noticing anything around her. In the back of her mind she wonders who the first person to enter the class next would be.

Nicole Lee
The breeze was rushing through this young girls hair as she flew through the sky. One good thing about having wings is that you don't need to drive or walk to school, but you can fly. After saying her good byes to her mother, Nicole rushed towards school in order to make it to class on time. She got to the front of the building and was very impressed on the structure. Nicole entered through the double wooden doors and was welcomed with an aroma of freshness. A smile was plastered on her face and she continued down the hall feeling the coldness of the floor from not wearing any shoes. Nicole hated the feeling of shoes or anything on her feet which is why her feet would be bare.
Locating her class which was very easy to find and close to where she entered, she arrived there in minutes. Looking at the door she inhaled and exhaled, hoping that the students here will find her appealing and not so repulsive like other students where she went to school at. Before entering the room, she looked behind her to take in the sight of her porcelain wings and sighed thinking about the day that she received these from her evil father. After reminiscing about her horrible past, she looked towards the door where she will be entering soon and placed a huge happy smile and felt excited yet nervous to greet the other students and be able to make some new friends.
Nicole reached for the doorknob which felt icy cold and turned it slowly. Pushing the door open, she peaked her head in "hello?" she said while looking around noticing that there weren't any students except for one. She smiled at the sight of the girl, but then her smile was replaced with a blank expression on what she was doing. Her curiosity took over and she immediately bust the door open and flew straight towards the girl that was sitting in the back of the classroom playing with water. Landing directing in front of the girl, Nicole was amazed at seeing such a sight "oh my! I have never seen anything like this before!" she exclaimed while following the flow of the water with her eyes and not noticing the girls expression on her grand entrance. After realizing what she did, Nicole immediately looked at the girl with embarrassment "oh my gosh, I'm sorry! I hope you didn't see that!" she quickly tried to hide her wings with her arms but her attempts were futile since her wings were big.
Nicole slowly backed away not wanting to get teased about her wings, but she still wanted to stick around the blue haired girl to enjoy the water dance that Nicole thought was amazing.

The water nymph was so absorbed in her play that she didn't notice when the door opened. She continued to manipulate the water, making it dance and glimmer in the light from the large Gothic arch windows. The water entranced her, filling her heart with joy, and a longing for home. She thought back to her home, the crystal clear waters of a small arctic lake. She sighed sadly, and brought her water closer, for comfort. She jumped when she heard a voice, and her control over her element faltered. The water fell from the air and splashed loudly all over the floor, and the nymph looked up timidly. In front of her was what looked like a pretty human girl. She looked closer, and noticed a pair of large, porcelain wings on the girl's back. Sh-she's...a fairy... the nymph thought, shocked. The wings sparkled like diamonds, their outline delicate. They were almost translucent, and slightly reflective. "Beautiful..." she whispered, not meaning to have spoken aloud. She blushed when she realized that the words had left her mouth. She tucked a strand of her silky blue hair behind her ear, and cleared her throat. She was about to say hi and introduce herself when the girl apologized and backed away, trying to hide her lovely wings. She stood up quickly reached out to the girl shyly. "W-wait! There's no need...to apologize." the nymph smiled warmly at the pretty green-eyed girl, nervous. She didn't do well with new people, and hoped that she wouldn't do anything embarrassing. Suddenly remembering her water all over the floor, she channeled her powers once again and guided it back into her bottle. She secured the lid firmly, and placed it back into her bag. The bag was made of water that had been enchanted to be forever frozen. It was from her home, and it meant a lot to her. She held the bag to herself for comfort, and looked back at the timid fairy girl. The nymph held out one hand to the girl. "M-my name is Mizuki Aomina. I-it's nice to meet you." she whispered shyly. She bowed politely, and her blue locks flowed around her. She straightened up and smiled sweetly, her face brightened by the expression.

Hikaru sighed with iritation as he pulled his shirt on and buttoned it. Last night, his mother had come from the forest to meet with him. She said that it was just for a visit before he got busy again, but Hikaru had sensed hidden intentions. Again, his mother was trying to convince him to come back to the forest. Leave this new place and come back. When would she learn that he wasn't going to go back? He liked it here, living with humans, and now other creatures. Her visits were starting to become more frequent, which was beginning to bring great amounts of irritaion to the elf.
No, he shouldn't worry about that now. Today was a new day at a new school! One filled with mysteries and mysterious creatures. There might even be some humans there as well, so not completely mysterious. It would still be interesting though. Hikaru smiled as he thought about the new school and how it would be. Merely the thoughts made him want time to speed up until he needed to be at school. But, knowing that he couldn't do that, he decided to finish getting ready and occupy himself to make time seem to speed up.
After getting himself clothed and eating his breakfast, Hikaru went back to his room to grab what he would likely need on his first day. Notebook, pen, pencil, sketchbook, and colored pencils. These things looked good. Hikaru grabbed a grey, cinch-up bag and put the previously listed items inside of it. Okay, all looked well. Now, to grab his shoes, and he would be good to go.
Wearing a big grin, Hikaru slipped on his shoes, slid the straps from the bag over his shoulders, and walked out the door, shutting and locking it behind him. Ah, first day of school. So much excitement! Hikaru walked down the hall, down the stairs, then out of the dormitory in which his room was held. His first class was in a building not too far from the dorms, but more than a minutes journey. Hikaru didn't mind. It ment more fresh air for him to enjoy before going inside again. To make his walk more enjoyable the elf whistled to himself.
About ten minutes later, Hikaru was walking into a building, the science and maths departments the sign had read. He'd forgotten what his first class was, though he new the room number and department: science. Chemistry was it? Or maybe physics. Something along those lines. Hikaru's whistling had softened until it was almost inaudible. The halls were nearly empty and the building was silent. Perhaps other students hadn't arrived yet; maybe he was the only one. No matter, it was fine with him. He was simply excited, that's all, though it seemed to drain out of him when he reached the large, smooth looking door. He felt intimidated by it for some reason. A reason that he could not even fathom. But, he had to go beyond this door to get to his first class. So, taking in a deep breath, he grabbed the cold, silver door handle, turned it, and walked inside of the room. Quietly, he let the breath out of his lungs, and stepped inside, not noticing the girls' prescence until a few moments later. Looking back at them, Hikaru smiled faintly and lifted his right hand in a friendly wave as he said, "Oh, hello there." |

Aomina was waiting anxiously for the fairy to accept her outstreched hand, or at least introduce herself, when a new student walked in. The first thing she noticed was that the boy had really pointy ears. Ah! An elf! Our people have always gotten along together quite well, she thought excitedly. Her eyes brightened, and her face lit up. Maybe...he and I can be friends! She waited patiently for the elf boy to notice them, and smiled when her did. He seemed like a nice guy, and she liked his pointy ears and green hair. She returned his wave eagerly and laughed. The sound was like the musical twinkling of the water-chimes that were hung all around her hometown. she thought back to her home and the chimes. They were all made of pure silver, and hung where the shallow waters would flow by and make them chime. The trinkets were ornate, and twinkled brilliantly in the crystal clear waters of the lake. She reminisced, remembering when she was just a little baby, barely a puddle, and listening to her mother sing to her while the chimes played their musical lullaby. She envisioned herself, reaching up in innocent wonder at the structures, pushing them with her watery baby hands, and laughing when they twinkled for her. It was from those sounds of her childhood that her own musical voice and twinkling laugh had originated. She smiled to herself, lost in sweet memories. Coming back to reality, Aomina shook herself, and bowed to the elf. The she reached out her hand in earnest. "I'm Mizuki Aomina, it's very nice to meet you!" She waited nervously to see what he would do. She wasn't too fond of any men, and wasn't sure what this one would turn out to be like. |

After he had introduced himself, the elf had started towards the back of the room, towards the two girls. As he approached them, he realized that the girl with the darker blue hair was a water nymph, a creature that he'd been really fond of as a child. The other, judging by the wings she was trying to hide, must be a fairy. He stopped just a few feet away, not wanting to get too close in case either of them were the type that hated people being too close to them.
But, when the nymph smiled and introduced herself, Hikaru grinned and grabbed her hand gently, shaking it as he introduced himself. "I'm Hikaru Shizuo. It's nice to meet both of you." He let go of her hand, and glanced at the other girl, the fairy. "I like your wings, they're really pretty," he said, smiling at her. Even though he'd only been here for a couple of minutes, he felt that the three of them might end up becoming good friends, and that thought made him grin.
Hikaru was about to speak again when he heard the door open, announcing another arrival. He looked back, seeing a male with black and white hair. A small frown appeared on his lips as he noticed that the male didn't seem happy. But why wouldn't he be happy to be in a place like this? There's so many new people to meet! he thought, studying the male for a little longer. He contemplated introducing himself to perhaps cheer him up, but he wasn't too sure. What if this guy was some jerk that was rude even when someone was nice to him? Hikaru could handle that; he could just apologize for being nice and come back over to the water nymph and the fairy and talk to them. Alright, he would try it. Giving the girls a look to say, 'I'll be back,' the elf started over to the desk in which the male sat.
Arriving at the desk, Hikaru smiled and held his hand out to the male as he introduced himself, "Hi there, I'm Hikaru Shizuo." He didn't believe in complex introductions. Just a hello, and a name were necessary in his opinion. They could work other stuff out after, and only giving that information would allow time to talk more.

Aomina smiled when the fairy just stared at her. The fairy looked just as a fairy should: delicate, flawless, and stunningly beautiful. Her smooth pearl skin, her large, innocent green eyes, flowing lavender hair, and those fluttering porcelain wings just hypnotized the water nymph. Her heat fluttered at the sight of the creature, and she smiled. The girl, beautiful as she was, seemed a bit confused at Aomina's compliment. Is she...is she not used to having people compliment her? the nymph wondered, baffled. How could such a stunning being not be used to being admired? Who would feel anything but honor and awe to be in the presence of such a pristine creature? Aomina smiled when the other girl smiled at her. "Nicole's a beautiful name..." she said, laughing softly. Her heart skipped at how the fairy's voice went high at the end of her sentence. "How cute..." she said to herself. She turned back to the elf, grinning as he shook her hand. Hikaru Shizuo...that's a nice name, she thought, smiling softly. She began to like him even more when he complimented Nicole on her wings. This guy...is so nice! she said, a joyful grin on her face. Her smile faltered when a new student walked in. The boy looked like an average human, but for some strange reason he wasn't wearing a shirt. His bare chest appalled the nymph, and she frowned. What is he, some kind of werewolf? she wondered. Werewolves frightened her, as they tended to terrorize her cousins, the wood nymphs. She suppressed a memory of a pack of rowdy rouge werewolves tearing through the arctic forests, damaging the trees and fouling the water with their waste and the blood of the animals they had killed. It had taken the wood and water nymphs months to undo the damage that the vandals had caused in just a few days. She didn't know for sure what he was, but because of his coldness and lack of a shirt, she assumed that he was one of those destructive creatures. She disliked him even more when he just ignored them all and sat in the the back on the opposite side of the room, next to the window. What is up with that guy? she pouted to herself. She loved to make new friends, and was upset that this guy wasn't being friendly. She turned to her new potential friends to speak, she noticed the look that the elf gave her. She watched, amused, as Hikaru introduced himself to the surly new arrival. She marveled at his friendliness and smiled to herself. Being anymph, and naturally curious and friendly herself, she glided over to the guy's desk as well, and stood next to Hikaru. "I'm Mizuki Aomina, but you can just call me Aomina-san!" she said, smiling. "I hope we can be friends!" |

Nicole was so baffled and confused about these people and wondered why they were being so kind to her. She was stunned on Hikaru's comment about her wings being 'beautiful'? That is the second time someone has ever complimented on her appearance and it wasn't her mother this time. Her being shocked from all this attention made her not realize that another person entered the room. When seeing Hikaru leave her and Aomina, she looked back at the other female and couldn't help but continue to smile at her brightly. After hearing Aomina compliment on her name, Nicole wanted to just hug the girl for being so kind to her.. in fact she wanted to hug everyone in the room. While thinking about how she could do such a thing without causing any problems with the others, she noticed Aomina leave her side and walk towards the boys. Nicole frowned feeling lonely now. She would go over to the others, but was scared of what the other guy would say. Thinking about this, she thought to herself 'well if Aomina and Hikaru likes my wings, I'm sure the other boy will as well, right?' she lifted her index finger to her lips and softly bit the tip of her nail being nervous 'I should at least try and if he doesn't like my wings then at least the other two do' she told herself before slowly walking over to the group.
Standing slightly next to Aomina, she cleared her throat to make herself noticed towards the others. Looking at the boy with his shirt off seemed a bit intimidating as if he could change into something beast like anytime soon and pounce on her for being such an easy meal "I-I'm Nicole... Lee, It's nice to meet you all" she said sheepishly while her hands were behind her back and her body swaying side to side. Nicole never had any real friends due to her wings being so weird and abnormal, but she has high hopes here and with Aomina and Hikaru has potential friends, she could see herself staying at this school for a long time.

Kuro sighed when his alarm had awoken him he didn't want to be here let alone go to school, but he got up anyway grabbing a white shirt not even bothering to put it on but took it just in case. Before Kuro left he turned to look in the mirror "some angel I don't even have wings" his voice filled with frustration as he turned away to leave, wearing in the same black pants he had fallen asleep in. The male had been here for over two thousand years, and still haven't gotten his wings back it was pure pain he felt when looking in the mirror. Kuro took his time walking to class hoping no one else would be there, he entered knowing his hopes were crushed people were already there. Ignoring everyone as he walked to the back sitting down by himself near the window looking around he seen who he had class with so far, an elf, water nymph and a fairy. The angel wasn't happy about this but bite his tongue at lest the elf was cute he thought chuckling a little.
