"I Will Never..Ever..Forgive You..."

User Image

Kazuhiko was about to punch right through the wall that already had a few good dents in it because of his repetitive punching, his anger was still soaring through him, he feared it wouldn't come down any time soon. He hoped Tsubaki wouldn't come in here, he didn't want to accidently take his anger out on her, she didn't do anything to deserve it. He hadn't gotten this angry in a long time, it was a bit overwhelming for him as well. He didn't know what had come over him, for some reason, he kind of felt like he had hit a new level of hatred for Ryokou. Which was almost impossible, but it had happened. He didn't remember much after he finished his dance, it was almost like he blacked out and his anger and hatred had taken over for him. He never wanted to get that angry again, he was sure Tsubaki looked at him differently now.. Sh*t. He put his elbows on his knees and set his forehead in the palms of his hands, running his fingers through his longish silver hair. He grabbed onto his hair in frustration, his bleeding knuckled carried blood down his hands and his arms and onto his pants. He really hoped Tsubaki would understand, he didn't want this situation to turn into something life changing. He just got Tsubaki back, he didn't want to mess it up. He loved her, needed her with all of his being.

Kazu sighed softly to himself, then looked up as he heard footsteps enter the room. His dark blue eyes looked at the one person he didn't want to see at the moment, Tsubaki. It wasn't that he didn't want to see her, he just didn't want her to see him like this. His anger wasn't yet under control and he didn't want to explode in her face, he knew one thing would set him off and he didn't want that to happen. He looked into her dazzling blue eyes and saw her take his bleeding and blood-covered hands, he listened to her Heavenly and soothing voice. Usually it would calm him down, but for some reason it sent shivers running through his body, and eventually, he started to tremble. It was a mixture of anger and irritation, his adrenaline was still deathly high, it worried him. She told him to calm down, but how was he supposed to do that right now. He didn't have a chance to cool down before she got here, now he was starting to get irritated all over again. His eyes looked sad and worried, kind of mentally saying that she shouldn't be here because he wasn't calm. "Why.. Did you come here..? You know your risking us getting caught with you coming back here.." His voice sounded more emotionless and cold than he wanted, now he waited for him to get yelled at for how he was acting towards her. He didn't mean to make it sound like it was her fault, it really wasn't. He was just upset right now and he felt bad.

Ryokou just laid there. Her body was slowly gaining strength back. But all she could think about was what Kazu had said to the princess while he dance with her in hatred. "You can crawl into a corner and die for all I care...", You disgusting family leader...". But the one thing he said that stood out to her the most was... "I will never... EVER... forgive you." That was what really hurt. Made it really feel like something stabbed her through the heart. It made her ache and hurt now. A few tears a escaped since the dragon had brought her to her room. Ryokou felt funny and really, for the first time in her life, felt truly and completely guilty for all the things that she had ever said or done to her family. For some reason, her mind kept telling her she wanted all their forgiveness. Especially... Kazu's. "NO!" Ryokou screamed, quickly sitting up and slamming her elbow into the wall quickly before falling back onto her bed quickly. She started breathing heavy. She felt like crying again. She was so confused, she felt so awful....

"I have to fix this..." She thought and slowly stood up and wobbled into the party room again. Everyone saw her and went silent. She probably looked awful and guilty. She tried to hide her feelings and the princess forced a smile to form upon her lips. Everyone proceeded on and the dragon came to escort her to her seat. She silently let him and didn't even pay attention that the car and rat were both missing. So, she sat down and the horse put some food on her plate. "Thank you." She mumbled to the woman slowly. The horse instantly knew that something was up...

Tsubaki got his blood on her hands. It didn't bug her though. It only bugged her that they got the way they were because he was punching walls. She could see some of the drops left on the wall so she could dissect what had happened. Plus she could hear two things hitting each other pretty hard so that just confirmed her guess. She rubbed her thumbs over the part of his hands that was bloody. She noticed how he looked. Sad, guilty. "Does he feel guilty for what he said to Ryokou?" Tsubaki thought it made her think about the truly kind heart that he did have. Maybe he really didn't mean all that and was just mad at the sudden surprise. "I came here because I wanted to try to calm you down." She told him with a kind voice and sparkling eyes. She sighed at the last part of his statement and her eyes drifted off to the left. "I know that. But everyone is worrying about food and everything anyway, it'll be awhile before they even realize that we're both gone." She explained to him, looking back at his eyed. The cat could feel him shaking. She could feel her lover trembling over her touch.

"Hunny." She spoke the one little word and stood up. She turned around and put her hands behind her neck, letting on a deep breathe, before continuing on. "I just.... I'm bothered that this is really how you act when I'm not around." She turned and looked at him with a sad look to her eyes. "If your temper is really that bad when I'm around... Do I have to stick to you like glue. Even, if they find out?" She didn't want to make him bad with the question. But that's just how she deep down. She didn't want to keep that from Kazu. Even she knew a good, healthy relationship involved confronting each other about concerns and problem they had. "It just worries me I guess. I don't want you to be so upset when I'm not around..." She said, sitting down next to him, leaning forward to try and meet his eyes. Her hands were clasped together and rested on her knees. She gulped for a minute before she continued on. "And I know that this sounds a little weird but... I think what you said to Ryokou was a little much. I think you were a little harsh.." She said, looking down and looking down. She turned red in embarrassment. It probably sounded so weird to hear her, or anyone say that after all the awful things the princess had done to entire zodiac.

Tsubaki's heart was beating a million miles a minute. She was scared to make him mad even more and have him just explode. Kazu, she was scared on how fragile he was right now but she was would stay at his side. She would vent her feelings. So he knew. Now it was try to tell him something that would probably make him happy. Or at least laugh is what she hoped. "I was jealous when you were touching her though... When you were twirling her around like you were.." She mumbled to him, remembering what she watched. The scene that the dragon held her back from separating. She could barely see the red marks from Ryokou's nails when she looked back up at him. It made her heart sank a little because she hated for her to hurt him anymore. Tsubaki knew she couldn't stop Ryokou if she wanted to... But the way that Kazu talked to her tonight. It made her wonder how she would act from now on...It kind of scared her. "I wanted to come separate you guys... But the dragon wouldn't let me... All I could think about was touching you myself. And having you wrapping your arms around me. And not her. Even though, it confused me. Why'd you still dance with? And why did you say such harsh things to her?" She finished up her rant with that, now waiting for what he had to say in reply.

Kazuhiko sighed inwardly, she was here to try and calm him down. For what? He was so angry because Ryokou thought she could say and do anything that she wanted to him. That wasn't going to fly with him, he was older now and he could reject her if he wanted to. His blue eyes narrowed more and more as she spoke, his anger was getting to him, he was afraid this would happen, that why he didn't want her in here with him. His anger was not under control and now her usually soothing words were just flat out annoying, for the first time since their time in the mountains, he was starting to get irritated just from hearing her voice. He jerked his hands away from her, running them through his hair slowly. His hair was so light that one could see the blood stains in his hair now, now he did look irritated. He looked up from his place at the ground and he looked right into her eyes, his dark, dark blue eyes showed a very evident irritation at what she was saying. Her words made him feel very betrayed by her, after everything he told Tsubaki about what Ryokou did to him, she was still going to claim the Kazu was in the wrong? He was the only one being harsh? Did she not fully understand the pain that woman had made him suffer through since he was a child? She obviously didn't and that made him even more pissed off, he slowly, very slowly moved away from her distance. Making the distance between them even more so, like it used to be. He moved off the couch and walked to the vanity and looked in the mirror, his face was red and slightly bleeding from the nail marks that god forsaken woman gave to him. His face was purely ugly now, how lovely. His face matched the emotions he was feeling right now and that bothered him, he didn't like that he was able to so easily show Tsubaki his ugly side. "Are you serious right now Tsubaki? After everything she's done to me, to you, to everyone in the zodiac.. You are just gonna stand there and act as if she was the innocent one in the situation? She provoked me with sending me back into the childhood I tried so hard to escape, now you tell me if she is the victim! Am I not a victim? Look at me Tsubaki! Look at me and tell me if you think she is the true victim!!" He wasn't yelling quite yet, this was him raising his voice. He sounded irritated, angry, and hurt that Tsubaki was telling him these kind of things. The situation was quickly getting out of hand, it was getting to be just like they used to be, but this time.. It was a lover's quarrel, just on a very deep situation. He'd gone through too much to put up with someone telling him that he was at fault, after everything that Ryokou did.. He expected Tsubaki to be the one person to understand how he was feeling.. At least her, but he was wrong.

On the matter of Tsubaki claiming to be jealous of the way he was touching and dancing with Ryokou, he almost wanted to barf all over everything in front of him and not care that everything was very expensive equipment. Just the thought of touching her, the memory was forever going to haunt him. He practically touched the devil, he felt tainted and very sinful. He felt disgusting, so disgusting that he wanted to take a million baths in the hottest water imaginable for a human being to handle. He turned around and sat on the vanity, looking at Tsubaki with an irritated look that had a bit of an incredulous touch. Why in the world would Tsubaki be jealous of that? Couldn't she tell that it brought him a lot of anger and sickness to even remember touching that thing? He sighed softly and looked away as she once again brought up him being at fault for talking to Ryokou so harshly, she didn't understand him.. Obviously after everything they went through in the mountains, it was for nothing.. "You.. You just don't get it do you Tsubaki? She brought it upon herself, she deserved every word I spoke to her. I hope it bothers and haunts her for the rest of her life! I thought you of all people would understand how I feel! I was wrong obviously, you STILL don't get it, after everything I've told you. You just don't f*cking get it!" He was getting a bit worked up now, it was evident and very clearly obvious to see. The words she were speaking felt like knives in his heart, he felt as if she was betraying him somehow by indirectly taking Ryokou's side. His breathing became very heavy and ragged all over again, his breathing was quietly wheezing as well, but it wasn't noticeable yet.

{How was your Christmas?}

Ryokou is trying to calm down while enjoying food with her family.~

Tsubaki for once, in her life, wanted to burst into tears because she was fighting with Kazu. She could just tell he was irritated. Why wasn't it working? Why wasn't her magical presence working on Kazu? Did the princess really make him THAT mad? That he was taking it out on her. Suddenly her fear showed on her face. The blood that was all over him. His face, his hair, his pants... On her hands. It scared her, reminded her of what used to be. How they would fight and everyone would love Kazu and hate the poor, tricked cat. She just watched him walk over to the vanity as she continued to talk and ask him questions. This was the side of the pink haired teen that didn't know how to stop. That just kept going and prying. It was a part of her personality that would never go away even if you tried to beat it out of her. Ryokou had been trying that all her life. So, if it didn't work all these years it never would work. Her breath started to get caught in her throat and her tear wells were about to over flow. In a minute she was about to either break down or get really mad. And honestly, she didn't know which one that would be exactly. And usually she would, which was a bad sign if she didn't even know. The bad feeling in her stomach from earlier was just getting worse by the second and she really prayed yelling didn't get involved. She let him finish his little rant and all she could think of was a few simple words.

"Okay, what the hell!" Tsubaki didn't cuss unless she was really, really mad. Or something just really surprised the crap out of her. Surprise was what her emotion was right now. Should she even be mad? This probably was her fault but he shouldn't have reacted so poorly! She shook her head and waved her hands in front of herself, suddenly anger did take her over. "Okay, look. I understand what we went though as kids. I understands what she said and threatened to you. Do you think that I just loved for her to say that to you?!" She raised her voice a little past his, which is what she was trying not to do. Because it would just cause things to escalate too quickly and bad things could happen. She didn't dare walk closer to him, if anything she stay put exactly where she was. "I don't think, for one effing second think that she is the true victim!" She looked straight at him, looked him straight in the eyes. They sent bad chills down her spine and through her every being. It hurt. She was scared. She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to fight with him but she couldn't stop her big mouth from running.

"Maybe I don't get it, Kazu. How could I?! I wasn't in that situation and I know the whole surprise ticked you off. It ticked me off too because I didn't want that. I knew it would hurt you but my point is... You shouldn't have treated her so roughly. She could have died right then and effing there. And I know for a fact that you would feel awful about yourself if you literally caused someone to die, even if you told them you wanted them to rot in hell!" She hissed at her lover a little more roughly and toxic than she wanted it to sound. She clenched her fists, looking down and unclenching them. A few tears started streaming as she looked back up. "And honestly Kazu... I'll never know how you feel because I'm not you. I don't have your temper. I don't have your mind set and honestly, I've always been on the more gentle side till somebody ticked me off and it came to you. But I found I love you too much to be violent." She was shaking a little bit now as she continued and finished what she had to say as she backed away to the wall.

"I've never been so scared of you in my entire life." Tsubaki told Kazu with a shaky voice. It cracked. Another tear fell to her hand and mixed with his blood. The shakiness was from a mix of anger, fear, and plain disbelief. It was all written all over her face. It was all engraved into her blue eyes.

"And by hell don't take it out on me!"

Kazuhiko was getting irritated more and more, her voice sounded more and more scared of him. It wavered for a while and he listened to her voice crack as she fought back tears to yell back at him, such a stubborn cat she was. He sighed to himself, just watching her go off on him in her own little world. It saddened him that he caused her to react this way, but she really didn't understand why she would stick up for Ryokou, it just didn't make any damn sense whatsoever. He let her rant, it was probably the only think he could do to make her happy right now. In order to make her happy again and take back everything that was happening right now and everything that went wrong earlier, he had to let her vent her anger. He just watched her with gentle blue eyes, watching her be so strong and so stubborn all at the same time. She was a delicate heart, he should've known to have better control over his anger. He didn't like to be angry and especially not in front of her, this was exactly why he didn't want her in here in the first place. He knew nothing good would come out of how he was feeling, he knew that he should've had more control. Nothing good ever came out of him being angry, since all it did was make people angry at him or fear him. Right now, it was kind of both for Tsubaki, which made him feel horrible. He usually never regretted nothing he said, he always meant what he said when he did say it. But speaking to Tsubaki like this made him regret it, for the first time in a while since he fell in love with her, he hurt her. That pained him to see her like this, then realize what the hell he was doing right now.

He pushed himself off of the vanity he was leaning against and he slowly walked over to Tsubaki and he carefully approached her while she was looking down, fighting back the tears that were already streaming down her delicate beautiful face. He set his uninjured left hand on her back of her head and placed his injured right hand to the middle of her back and he leaned down a bit to place his lips on top of her head, he pulled her back against his strong frame and held her there for a long time in silence. He was trying to absorb all of her sadness, to make it disappear and make it so she never even remembered why she was crying and she'd look at him and smile as if nothing happened. He didn't want to remember right now, it was too painful for him to have to face the reality in front of him. He knew what he was doing wrong and he admitted it to himself, he didn't want to lose her, he would do his best to keep her at his side, even if it meant him looking less masculine, he didn't care. He enveloped her deep into his body and just swayed side to side gently, kind of comforting her. His hand slowly massaged through her hair and massaged her scalp every now and then, gently brushing upon the soft skin on her neck.."Tsubaki.." He began, his voice sounded very soft and was flooding with regret. "I'm sorry for taking it out on you, I know you don't deserve it. It's just that.. Seeing her so close after so many years kind of got to my head and I sort of lost it for a while. I didn't ever want you to see that side of me, if I could, I would've hid it from you for the rest of my life. My anger wasn't under control when you got in here and I just couldn't keep ahold of everything properly.. So.. I'm sorry for hurting you and making you cry, it pains me to see you like this, so please don't cry anymore. I promise to never put you through something like this again.. And I'll try my hardest to get through this anger streak I have when you're not at my side. For you, I will.. But.." He paused for a moment, trying to collect his thoughts into my mind. He wanted to make her feel better, but he didn't want to lie to her. So he would have to tell her the truth in a sweet way. "I regret.. Nothing about what I said or did to Ryokou.. I'm sorry Tsubaki.. The only thing I regret is walking out of there without you by my side. I regret making you cry, making you angry, making you fear me in such a way that you continue to shake even now. I'm so sorry that I made you doubt my feelings for you, I wouldn't ever do anything like that. You know me, I was just.. Out of it.." His voice was sincere, he really did mean it. He only regretted hurting Tsubaki, not for hurting Ryokou in any way. He was honest, that was the plus side at least.

{It was okay haha. Sorry about the delay, I've had a hang over for a few days now}

Ryokou is starting to notice some people missing.

Tsubaki was shaking violently by the time Kazu made it over to her. She went into his arms easily but when she was fully there, she tensed up a little bit. Fear was still in her mind but she wanted to just morph with the rat like she had been able to for the past year. She curled her toes in her shoes and hesitantly wrapped her arms around his larger figure. Tears streamed down her face and they were slowly starting to slip down his skin. All the while her fingers squeezed on his back as she just broke and squeezed him like he would disappear if she didn't hold him to her. The cat was starting feel bad now. Kazu got to see her fearing him for the first time in her life. Lightly, she hummed to the rhythm of her lover's swaying. His skin touching hers wasn't electric like it usually way. It made her feel more of wondering if he was going to hurt her. Which was stupid because she knew that Kazuhiko would not hurt her anymore, ever. No matter what Tsubaki just witnessed she knew, for a fact, that the pain he put her through was done now. Even if they did fight, he didn't mean to make her cry. She should've known he was made and not to come back here.

Tsubaki hear him speak her name. It was like listening to an angel. Then shook her head once he was done, looking up at him and meeting his eyes. "No, I wouldn't want you to keep that side of you from me. Even if this is the only time I see it." She put a soft hand on his hot face. "I want to know every side of you, good and bad." Fear was gone now and replaced with worry. Worry that he would try to keep his bad side from her. Why did she want to see that? So that she knew that she would love him through everything. Also, she knew for a fact that sooner or later Kazu would end up seeing really bad sides of the cat too. So she wouldn't want him to know her negatives without her knowing his. The cat's eyes were red and puffy for crying for the past several minutes. She smiled at him gently after sniffling. "I know that you don't regret that.. I guess I'm going soft since I haven't really been around her in the past year. I'm forgetting but now that she is so close to dieing and her condition is getting noticeably worse by the day..." She paused for a second to sniffle again and felt her heart squeeze. "I'm so scared to watch someone in our family die... I've been so close to it and it's scary. And I can't even imagine watching someone go... And in such an awful way." Tsubaki buried her face in his chest again and resisted the urge to cry again. All she was picturing in her head was Ryokou's corpse...

Tsubaki inhaled and exhaled. "I know you were out of it." She reassured him, rubbing his back and finally relaxing but still a little tense at the moment. It would take her a bit longer to get over than she would like but she couldn't quiet help it. "I'm sorry that I yelled at you to... And for cussing. I feel dirty for saying those words..." She joked a little at the end like out a faint giggle, trying to relieve the tension a little bit. "Just try to be better on her in the future if it comes down to it again...For me. Please, love." She whispered enough for him to hear. It was almost like she was scared to say it.

"I Will Never..Ever..Forgive You..."

Kazuhiko bit down on his bottom lip, he understood why Tsubaki was upset and the fact that she tensed up again him was the realization that he'd made her scared of him. Lovely, it wasn't something he was happy about. No. Actually, it was enough to make him hate himself. He wanted her to be happy again, like she was a few hours ago. He wanted to make it up to her, but how could he do that? He had an idea, she did say she loved his cooking. So perhaps he could make something for her and they could spend the rest of the New Years night together under the stars in his secret getaway. His mind swirled with ideas, he was ready to act upon it, but first, he had to get her to trust him again. He knew that she wouldn't go anywhere unless she was completely comfortable. He pulled her closer to his chest and listened to her sweet voice speak, her voice was wavering when she spoke of death. Perhaps thinking of Ryokou dying was some kind of bad thought, he knew that much. Death was never pretty. But when the head of the Zodiac died, what happened to the rest of them? Did they die too? He didn't remember a time in the Sohma history when the head of the family died before the rest of the Zodiac members, so perhaps this would be the first time. Not only has many of the Zodiac members changed over the years, but this was the first God of the family that was actually significantly weaker than the past one's. Kazu was the first rat to disobey God, to rebel, to fall in love with his mortally sworn enemy. Tsubaki was the first cat to not be completely shunned by the God and the first to also fall in love with the rat. Maybe this marks the end of the Sohma family's Zodiac, if not, then something was definitely wrong with this generation of the Zodiac. He didn't have any answers or solutions to any problems with the family, all he knew right now, was that he had to comfort and soothe his love's anxiety and depression. It was his job as the man, the lover, and the person who swore to never hurt Tsubaki. Yet, he did, and that royally pissed him the f*ck off. Yet he wouldn't show his anger anymore, he couldn't do it again. He already felt bad enough as it was, no use making the problem worse right now.

He breathed in deeply and exhaled slowly as she asked a favor of him, to try to be nicer to Ryokou. He didn't know if it were possible, his mind reacted on it's own when Ryokou was around. He didn't really have any decision in the matter. His instincts acted upon their own, so he never knew how he'd react. Usually it was with hostility, but would he try for her? "Yes. For you, I would do anything." Damn straight, he was completely honest about it. He would try to be nicer to Ryokou, for Tsubaki's sake. He didn't know when he started changing around this girl, it just came naturally. She seemed scared to ask him that question, it was only expected since his actions earlier on the matter were very hostile. He looked her deep in her eyes and gave her a gentle smile.."I promise" There, he swore it with one of his promises. He never made promises to people that he couldn't keep, now Tsubaki had to be satisfied. He always kept his promises with her, with everyone. He had strong morals and promises were something he just kept ahold of, he valued promises, just like he took relationships seriously. He took her hand and held it in his, then kissed her knuckles softly, one by one. He then just held her knuckles to his lips, looking into her eyes over her hand with intensity. "Do you remember the first time we met as children? By the huge sakura tree in the back of the Sohma estate near the mountain? When I just stared at you for long minutes?" He smiled against her hand, his eyes lighting up with passion. The old fire he once had in his eyes before everything went haywire tonight. "I thought you were the most cutest thing I've ever seen, I didn't even realize that you were to become my enemy when we grew up. Right now, I find you so enchanting and I feel it is my duty to make this night up to you.. He said softly, his voice lowering a few octaves, making it seem like he was seducing her in a way. "I have another surprise for you, love. Can you go back to that tree for me, then wait a while? I will meet you out there in a few moments, while I go gather some things and get appropriate clothing on." He stated softy, if he remembered correctly, when they first met, she wore almost something similar to what she was wearing now. They were only five years old at the time, she was so damn cute back then. Now she was beautiful in every single way, it was amazing how grown she's gotten. He'd grown a lot himself. From a cute and adorable rat, to what he was now. A loving, temporary bipolar, caring man. He only hoped that she would do this favor for him, she wouldn't regret it.

{Agh, the New year is already starting to suck. Sorry about the delay!}

Ryokou was enjoying diner with her family. Now she noticed who was missing. The rat for one. She was thankful for that. If he showed his face any sooner than tomorrow she might just jump him and claw his eyes out faster than he can even lift a hand to smack her away from him. Kazu deserved to be punished. Though, for once, her heart started to drop into her stomach when she thought about smacking someone who went against her. Was she scared of Kazuhiko, the rebellious rat?

Yet, who she still had to notice that was also missing, was the cat. he was used to the girl hiding so she paid no mind to her missing presence. And the horse, along with the dragon, wasn't about to say anything about it.

Tsubaki sighed in complete relief. It made her happy to hear that he was so willing to do anything for her still. Even after that little spat and the cat said something to displease him. She put her left hand on his neck and messaged where it was tense in the back. She sighed a bit and smiled. As Kazu kissed each of her knuckles, one by one, she smiled and felt heat rise up inside of her cheeks and started turning her cheeks a deeper shade of red. No longer was it an embarrassed, scared red. But a blush from feeling the butterflies in her stomach that she got every time she looked at Kazu. Looked him in the eyes. Kissed his soft, strong lips. Every time she felt his skin, his arms around her. It made her catch her breath to hear him talk and tell her sweet things. Yet, it was all the things that made her the happiest anymore. That had really every made her happy since she was 7 years. No, scratch that 5, when her mom disappeared.

When Kazu brought up the first time she met, it brought a smile to her lips. That was a time when they didn't understand their roles in this life. Or well, what everyone excepted their roles to be their entire lives. They were so innocent and clueless then. Life seemed so bright. But those, times were right before her mother stopped showing up in her life. Where she was always thinking of what was beyond the estate. Where she would adore that favorite tree of hers. It reminded her of her hair and it made her happy to think of how her own hair was the same pretty pink as those blossoms. Tsubaki always loved her hair color. Through most of her life, she never cut it but hated how her lack of health made it look so dull. Made her once flawless skin so pale and sunken in. Now, it was all changed thanks to the man she now loved. That was always meant to be her mortal enemy, yet was standing here in embracing her right now.

"Yes, I do remember." In all honesty, she missed that tree. She never really went to visit in. Maybe she could talk Kazu into going to it again sometime to visit that beautiful thing in the spring when it was blooming once again. Did anyone take care of it anymore? But she was sure that it was still okay, no matter what mother nature was taking care of it. She smiled. "It actually took me quiet a long time to realize that you would stand there and watch me. Finally, on the day we met was when I realized that you did stand and watch me. I found you rather mysterious. You just had that kind of look in your eyes." She smiled deeply and continued to lightly message Kazu's neck, slowly feeling his muscle relax there. When she heard what he had to say, it made her giggle. " I was just thinking about how I wanted to talk you into going to it with me. I don't go there much anymore." She responded then nodded after wards. She let go of him and nodded, kissing his cheek. "I'll see you there then, love." She said, jumping out the window she had entered through earlier. She quickly and slyly made her way back to that tree.

It wasn't quiet as beautiful right now because the blossom still had time before they were in full bloom. Yet the way the branches grew outwards and how to the tree slightly bent over made her smile. Her hand rested on it's trunk and it made her smile, thinking back on a few memories. One that she instantly went to was the one where she first met Kazu. The one they had mentioned earlier. She had been sitting on the root that barely poking out of the ground, with a small book that was resting in her lap, open. She wasn't reading it though, she was staring off into space. Her pink hair was in little pig tail braids. Her blue eyes were bigger, brighter and more curious. More innocent. She wore a little white dress but no shoes. The little version of Kazu accidentally stepped on a twig and snapped it making the little Tsubaki look behind her, standing up to look over at him. She walked over to him and asked who he was. And for a short while they were friends and nice to each other. But less than a year later, her mom disappeared and Kazu grew cold towards her. Started to hate her and started to treat her like dirt. And that's when it started their long path to where they were right now. In love and breaking the trend of the cat and rat relationships before.

"I Will Never..Ever..Forgive You..."

Kazuhiko was pleased that she agreed to meet him at the tree, he also noticed that she had reacted to him the way he was hoping her to. She got weak in his arms, allowing him to be the strength that she needed from him. His soft blue eyes was no comparison when it came to her eyes, but the gentle kiss she planted on his lips was so tender it made him crave more. Earlier tonight, he had wanted to ravish her, make her his again, but he couldn't because someone had barged in and ruined the moment. No one would ruin tonight, no one. Because no one knew where they were, they would be rebellious teenagers and sneak off together in the night just to spend a few hours alone. He was going to show her what it meant to live, give her the night that he had hoped for. He wanted to make this all up to Tsubaki, because he was him and would do anything for the one he loved. He had too many encounters with sadness and pain, he wouldn't let his past ruin his future or his present. He hoped to one day marry the cat and have children, children that knew nothing about hate, sorrow, or pain. They would only feel love and cherishment, Tsubaki and him both knew what it meant to feel nothing but sadness. Together, they created a sacred bond that couldn't be easily broken, who knew that such opposites could come together in a way that seemed unbreakable and eternal? Right now, Kazu would do his best. He kissed her cheek when she leaned in to kiss his, then she jumped out of the window she earlier entered like a swift cat of the night and Kazu instantly started to wash off his face of the makeup, he didn't really need it anyways, his face and appearance was naturally flawless. He put on his black dress up shirt he came here with and slipped on his shoes, then finally fixed his hair that he had made into such a disarray earlier. Now, he would make dinner for Tsubaki and himself.

He opened the door to the room he was in and looked up and down the halls, hearing no movement except for in the main dining hall where the celebration was still going on, just with less people. After his outburst, people felt compelled to go home, but those who stayed were mostly the Zodiac members and they were having dinner with Ryokou, his face made a sour look. He pulled on his jacket and stepped into the hallway, shutting the sliding door behind him and took a right into the hallway. He quietly walked through the house, his face had a calm expression on it. He knew he wouldn't get caught, for the soul fact that no one would dare get in his way after what happened between him and Ryokou. The raw fact of his anger scared many people, who knew the rat was capable of such raw anger and hatred? Who knew the rat could disobey God? It was unheard of. Kazu didn't care, he did what he did and the only part he regretted was making Tsubaki scared, mad, and sad all at the same time. His right hand rose up and ran through his soft silverish hair, he wanted to forget that ever happened, but the truth was smacking him in the face at every moment it got. He knew it was wrong, but he would do anything to fix it right now.

Kazu took a left at the end of the hallway and entered into the kitchen, it was empty, good. He pulled out a picnic basket from the pan tree and set it on the counter with nothing on it but breads and stuff, then he got to work cooking. He made traditional rice, as well as some heart meats with sauce that would make anyone drool at the smell of it. He made vegetables and packed up many kinds of fruits that were at his disposal, Tsubaki loved fruits, especially strawberries. It reminded him of the time he was teaching her how to farm at the cabin in the mountains, such good memories, when they first started to feel for each other. He packed sandwiches and warm soups, then warm tea, coffee, hot cocoa, and some juice. He planned to stay in a cabin in the woods that was near the tree they were going to eat under, the cabin was solely used for guests of the Sohma family, but they never have guests, so he never knew why they built it in the first place. Oh well, it would be their home for the night. He packed candles as well, plus a few blankets and pillows from the room he was just in, then a lighter for the candles. Then he wandered into the horse's old room and started going through her clothing she wore when she was a teenager, why did the Sohma family keep things like this? It was weird. Kazu picked out a night dress that would go perfectly with Tsubaki's eyes, it was a deep blue but it was modest on color that would look good with Tsubaki's naturally light skin tone. He picked out some nice slippers and a pair of sandals for the next day, then he picked out a nice soft lavender and pink dress for her to wear the next day. He started packing essentials like bathing stuff, a brush, toothpaste and a toothbrush for both of them, but mostly he brought bathing stuff so Tsubaki could clean up after dinner. He was a very thoughtful guy.

He wandered into his old room next, picking out clothing he'd left here last year. They would still fit, but the shirts would be a bit small on him. Just as Kazu thought, they were princey-type clothing. He never used to buy his own clothing, but since he has, he developed a new interest in black and tougher clothing. Since he had nothing else to wear, he supposed he could live with one day dressing as he used to before he fell in love with Tsubaki, she had taught him to be true to himself and develop his own mind, think for himself, and make his own decisions. That was how he became mentally stronger, for that, he would forever be in her debt. He shoved everything that was essential into another backpack, slid it onto his back and went back out to the empty kitchen, grabbing the picnic basket, then looked around aimlessly, wondering if he forgot anything. Ah, yes. He quickly wandered back into the room he had when he lived here, he walked back to the bed and lifted up the thin mattress from the bed frame and looked under it. The book that Tsubaki had left by the tree that day before she had to go home, she had left it there and he had forgotten it was by his bed until he actually thought about it. He smiled to himself, then pulled it out and shoved it in his backpack. He was ready now.

Kazuhiko wandered to the back door of the Sohma Estate and opened it, shutting it softly behind him and started walking calmly towards the tree that was out of sight of the Estate, but close to the forest. It was the only Sakura tree that was away from the others, the only one in the middle of the yard and for that, he knew exactly where it was. Not many people came behind the estate, but it's not like it would bother him if anyone found out about them anyways, he would probably just go on about his business and worry about the consequences later on, like he always did. Like Tsubaki and him did when they first fell in love, live for the moment, worry about tomorrow another day. He chuckled to himself, he was talking just like Tsubaki did the night they shared each other's virginity. He would make her relive her virginity, he would be gentler this time. As he approached the tree, his eyes set on someone that looked like a Goddess, but it was only his eyes that were in a dream. It was Tsubaki standing beside the tree, looking as beautiful as she had the day he first met her. He had tripped and snapped the little seedling when he was younger, dazed by the beauty in his vision and wasn't looking where he was going. He stood behind her, setting down the basket and wrapped his arms around her and held her back against his chest. He leaned in and whispered softly in her ear, then kissed her neck.."Never thought I would catch an angel outside before, but I suppose that I'm just very lucky tonight" Was his whisper before the kiss, then he moved to her other ear, whispering just as soft, but his tongue was dipped in desire for her.."I love you" He said, kissing her neck again on the other side, then kissed her shoulders and then in between her shoulder blades. It was obvious that he craved her very being, it was obvious.. That he was in love.

Ryokou is still clueless but getting tired. Plans are also running through her mind.

Tsubaki would've been impatient with the rat a year ago if he made her wait this long. She would've wanted to strangle him the minute he appeared before her. She probably would've never agreed to such a thing. Nor would it probably been brought up. If it had, it would have been shot down so quickly, it wouldn't have even been funny. Heck, it was a miracle they were even where they are right now. In love and rebelling against their entire cursed family.

These thoughts brought along the question that hit her hard. Was their curse broken? If a human boy hugged her, would she proceed to turn into a cat? Into a little white cat with black freckles? With green eyes that seemed very misleading? Her face fell a little. She really wanted to try it now but was so scared at the same time. If it was, it would be awkward and she wasn't sure how much Kazu would like her hugging a random guy. Then, if it didn't work... Did that mean that her and Kazy really weren't meant to be together? The first sliver of doubt slipped into her being. Her heart started pounding and she was a little scared. She lifted her hand up to bite her pointed finger. She looked off into the dark distant and kept remembering that day. Every few seconds the memory of Kazu pushing her off the porch would try to invade it.

With perfect timing, Kazuhiko came and wrapped Tsubaki up in his warmth. Her tense body relaxed and sunk into him. She put her hands on his arms, as if they were going to slip away. Her heart started pounding is a good way and she giggled. The kisses on her neck made her catch her breath. "Or maybe, this fallen angel is lucky to have found someone has rebellious as her." The three words after hers made every bit of doubt of earlier run and hide under a rock. Her body turned in his arms on her command. Her arms went loosely around his neck. Tsubaki planted a kiss on the rat's lips. "I love you too."{/b] She said into his fully, rough lips. Her stomach broke the little, lovey-dovey moment. It growled, yelling 'Feed Me!'.

"So if you love me, you will give me some of that yummy food you're hiding from me." The pink haired cat broke from the rat's grip and held her tummy, giving him a fake pouty look. "Or are you going to love a poor,. defenseless girl starve to death?" She gave him an innocent, puppy dog look, not faltering once to smile or laugh. She seemed completely composed in what she was doing, messing with her lover like she loved to do. Hey, they were in love but it doesn't mean she can't still give him hell every once in awhile! If she didn't, the relationship would be very, very gushy and would've been boring a long time ago! And hey, he gave it right back to her, so it was okay! They got violent about it sometimes but now that she was stronger, it was a ton more fun because she could actually put up a pretty good fight! Hmm... She kind of felt like one of those moments tonight. Her stomach growled again. "Okay, food now, be abusive later." She almost laughed out load at her own thought. Even through that thought, she still gave him her pouty look.

"I Will Never..Ever..Forgive You..."

Kazuhiko laughed happily when he belly rumbled in his presence, she really was remarkable and very hard to figure out. She never failed to show him something new about her every time they got to see each other, which wasn't as often as he'd hoped it to be.."You could kick my a** if you really wanted to, you don't fool me" He laughed again. The moment right now and here, that's what counted the most, he believed. Making every moment count until the final millisecond, when they would be forced to be apart from one another again. He didn't like the thought, but he wouldn't dwell on it, he would make every second count. She started to throw a little bit of a tantrum and he kind gave her an awkward, but humorous smile, she looked so adorable, it was almost unbearable. He then tossed off his backpack from his shoulders and set it on the ground, opened it, then pulled out a very soft and very warm blanket that had sakura blossom patterns on it. It was the blanket he had sewn himself, on one of the very rare days he was left alone by Ryokou and that was only because she'd come down with the flu. That was the first day he realized that he had thanked karma for the flu, so he decided to sew a blanket. He'd never tell that to Tsubaki though, that was just.. Embarrassing as Hell, a guy sewing? What guy did that?

He set the basket full of food and drinks down in the middle of the blanket, then he opened it and started setting out the tea, coffee, and ice cold milk canteens. After he did that, he set out all the food plates and containers one by one. Starting with the colder food like the raw veggies to snack on, the different types of fruits like strawberries and grapes and such. Then he brought out the main dish, consisting of very healthy meats that would make Tsubaki's muscles and bones healthier. He brought out rice and noodles too, but he left the secret dessert he made in the basket and set it aside. He pulled out a small wooden block and set up two candles, lit them with matches, then smiled warmly at Tsubaki. "I hope I made all your favorites, make sure you save room for dessert though" He said softly, then pulled out two plates and two pairs of chopsticks, and some cups. He came prepared, just to make the night perfect and have absolutely no reason to go back into the estate. Little did she know, everything a girl didn't think her man would remember to grab, he did. Because he pays attention to her wants and needs, but she wouldn't figure out how prepared he was until it came down to the point where she needed something and all he had to do was pull it out of his backpack.

Ryokou ---

Tsubaki was laughing so hard that she was now holding her stomach for that reason. "About time I could." She told him with a grin that show on of her very pointy K-9's. Speaking of those, there was one thing that she would never forget. Something she had done to Kazu that made her laugh more than feel guilty. It was up in the cabin. They were watching a movie and she just gave him a kiss on the lips. They were getting a little bit too rowdy and she ended biting a hole into lower lip. She tasted his blood and about spit. That was a very strange moment in her life. She had been super embarrassed and didn't touch him for a few days. Well at least, didn't kiss him for a few days.

Tsubaki carefully watched her lover. She paid attention to Kazu's body. Every curve and muscle she could see. But it wasn't just his looks that got her. It was how he was. After the hard, hateful shell came down up in the mountains, she realized how sweet he really was. Who he really was inside. So, immediately she fell in love with him but at first really didn't want to admit it. And she really didn't until he took her complete innocence. Every time he pulled something out of the basket, she remembered something about that time. She walked over to him after he finished pulling out everything else.Her arms found themselves around the rat. She kissed him and broke it after a few moments, sitting down on the blanket and snatching a strawberry. She finished it in two bites and smiled warmly. She grabbed another one and put it near his mouth. "Here, cuteness." She told him, with bright eyes and a teasing grin. She knew he was much more than cute but she liked to say the word "cuteness" a lot. It held so much more to it when she called Kazu that. Patiently, Tsubaki waited for her lover to eat the strawberry from her hand. For some reason, she thought it was just adorable to watch Kazu eat things that she fed to him. She would never forget the first time that she had tried to do it. At first, Kazu wouldn't do it and she got angry at him. Putting that piece of food down, her stubbornness took her up stairs and she stayed there all day, reading the same book. Finally, the rat came upstairs to try to talk to the cat. Of course, the pink haired girl wouldn't listen. That night though, a thunderstorm rolled in and scared the poor girl so bad she ended accidentally threw her blanket and it knock her lamp off her side table. It busted and she bolted to Kazu's room, throwing herself into his bed and hiding. That night was a very interesting night. From him blowing up to her seeing all his scars for the first time.

Kazuhiko smiled when she commented back on his comment, she has gotten stronger since their time at the cabin. She looked so much healthier and now that she'd found her inner strength, he wasn't sure if he could take her, it wasn't like he wanted to find out. Though, even if she weren't going to beat him, he wasn't going to back down easily. Even if they didn't hate each other anymore, the challenge was still there between them. That was how they could play around and have fun with it, but the last time they tried, he purposely wanted to end it before it got too serious and he ended up kissing her to change the subject. His soft blue eyes looked over at her as she offered the strawberry, he smiled warmly and opened his mouth, his eyes closing. His left hand reached over and grabbed a cherry, holding it out to her mouth so she could bite into it. This kind of gentle loving play was something that he adored, she could be so gentle and he was happy he could be the only one who knew this side of her. He didn't want anyone to ever see her like this, but then again, he knew he couldn't control everything about her life, even though his heart wished he could.

He was thinking about what he would do after this, maybe bundle her up after dessert and carry her bridal style to the cabin in the woods, read the book he found in his room that he saw her reading when they first met. Have her guess what book he was reading from, give her it, and perhaps have some time talking about the future or something. Then.. Have a night fit for only them? Sounded like an ideal plan, but then again, things like this couldn't possibly be planned. Maybe he should let them play out on their own? Yes, that sounded ideal. He would play it like that. He pressed his lips to the strawberry and then slowly bit down, allowing the sweet red juice to run down his lips and chin about the same time she bit into the luscious red cherry. He tossed the stem and his right hand took her left cheek and he drew her face into his, placing a passionate kiss to her sweet and pink lips. Then he pulled back after a few seconds and wiped his chin off and started to distribute the food evenly on both plates.."Still afraid of lightning dear?" He asked softly, mainly because the news told him earlier it was going to rain later on tonight with a lightning and thunderstorm.

{It's ok}

Ryokou ---

Tsubaki waited patiently. She knew he would take a bite out of it. But there was still that fear in the back of her mind that he would turn away and not eat the little fruit from her hand. So when he offered up the cherry, she smiled and bite it from the stem as Kazu took a bite from the strawberry. She threw the remains of it behind her when he was done with it. This little spot brought back so many memories from that first meeting. The first time they realized that each of them existed. After Kazu had broken the stick, scared and broken little Tsubaki dropped her favorite book and darted away. To the front of the Sohma main estate. Into her room. Just to get caught by Ryoko and hit for causing a ruckus in the house. That day she threatened to cut 'her long, pretty princess pink hair.' That night she saw the little boy with grayish hair walking through the halls and she secretly hid and watched his little body walk away from the shadows she was hiding in. But after that day she didn't see the boy for weeks. Little did she know that they wouldn't be too friendly to each other next time. The cause was never certain. The thing the pink haired cat didn't know was that Ryokou had told Kazu what he was destined to think of Tsubaki and he had listened. If she heard it now, she would probably be heart broken...

Tsubaki looked at Kazu and nodded. She didn't even want to think about her greatest fear. She still hated loud noises with a passion and thunderstorms put all her bigger fear together. Loud noises, sudden flashes, and the dark. The dark was what topped nightly storms off. "Yeah..." She mumbled, rubbing her thumbs together and looking at him. "Why do you ask?" She really hoped he wouldn't say what she thought he was going to say. Now that she thought about it, the air had that storm feeling to it. The sky seemed cloudier too. She watched him put the food on the plates and he was done just in time for her to take a piece of the meat and pop it into her mouth, sucking on the piece to get the taste before she slowly started to chew on. She smiled, trying not to seem worried about any storms tonight because she knew that Kazu would be there for her if there really ended up being some tonight. As long as he was there, she felt completely safe.

"Don't be scared you dummy..." Kazu whispered to a frightened Tsubaki who had just jumped into his bed and got yelled at for doing so. More than anything, it had scared the rat just a little bit at the sudden action. But once the girl stopped listening and cried after a sudden boom of thunder. Suddenly, the boy blurted out. "Are you scared of thunder... Tsubaki?" And grabbed her tiny, pale shoulders. The girl just shook in reply so the boy wrapped his arms around her body and pulled her under the blankets to try to muffle the loud noises.

That memory flashed through her head for a few minutes as she took yet another piece of meat and ate that the same way she had ate the previous piece. "Are there going to be storms tonight, hunny?" She asked, just above a mumble after she swallowed her piece of meat quickly.

"I Will Never..Ever..Forgive You..."

User Image

Kazuhiko still remembered the day that the evil woman that was destined to die before long first walked into his life, at first, he didn't mind her. If anything, he wanted to be her friend and do everything he could in his power to make her like him. He was born and raised to be the God's favorite, he was bred up to the day they first met to be the one that would forever be loved and cherished by the God. His mother always told him growing up that he was special to the head of the family, that he should feel honored to be at Lady Ryokou's side, that he was blessed. He never knew exactly why, but he never questioned his mother, mostly because she was hardly around in the first place. She was always off doing things for the Sohma family and balancing work and trying to find someone to love her, that sometimes, the woman forgot that she even had a son. Kazu didn't mind, it wasn't like he felt connected to his mother, ever since he was able to think and do for himself, he always felt as if something was missing in the relationship between himself and his mother, so he usually never tried to mend the broken bond, because it wasn't there to start with. The day he first met Ryokou, it was a bright and sunny Spring day, the very first day of Spring. Spring, one of his most favorite times of year. The time of renewal and new beginnings, yet, the end of his own life was about to end, not begin. He was merely five years old, walking into the room of the God. He had prepared himself all these years, he was going to make his family proud, he was going to make a new friend, he was going to show the sickly girl that life was happy and meant for joy. He was so excited. He entered the room with a smile.. Only to find out that she wasn't exactly what his mother had told him she was.. She was.. A demon, if anything. From the very beginning.

Kazu smiled at Tsubaki when she said she was still afraid of the lightning and thunder, he watched her fiddle with her thumbs and he chuckled softly. He should've known, but tonight was good that there was a storm, he was going to be there to comfort her and she wasn't going to have to spend tonight alone and scared again. He parted his chopsticks and began to pick up soft veggies and tender and juicy pieces of meat and pop them into his mouth, savoring the flavor and then biting down. Only then did he really pay attention to something, they ate meat the same way. He mentally laughed to himself, she was so damn cute. "Yes, there is to be another storm." He said softly, but looked into her gorgeous blue eyes with his own blue eyes, but they seemed to turn a soft green color, slowly. They only turned a slight green color with Tsubaki, which always made her smile and think of the ocean, for some reason. He pulled out two coffee cups and poured deliciously warm jasmine tea into them, placing one sugar cube in his cup and two in her's. He knew that she liked sweet stuff, then he added a little bit of warm honey milk to her's and stirred them both. He took a sip of his tea and smiled at her, reveling in the warmth he felt in his heart and body and soul.

Young Kazu looked at the young sickly girl that was kneeling on the floor, glaring up at him with evil eyes. Either of hatred or something that he didn't quite understand, why did she look at him like that? Why did the elders of the Sohma family push him into the room and lock the door so he could get out? Why was he on the ground crying for help while the one he was suppose to cherish was hitting him with her fists? There were so many questions that ran through his mind, that he couldn't sort them all out. His mind was too messed up to think and his body was too sore and broken to handle any kind of thought or movement, so he just lay in the middle of the room, bleeding and silently crying, waiting for someone to offer help. No one came for him, until the day that Ryokou was too sick to hit him. He put on a heavy and thick kimono that was too big for him and he went outside, there he saw a pink haired girl reading a book by a little sapling of a tree. He hardly spoke to her, but when he went back to the room that night. He was yelled at for talking to the demon cat, he HAD to stay away or he would be severely punished. For the first time that night, he wished himself dead. He no longer wanted to live, anything would be better than having to put up with Ryokou's constant beatings. That was the beginning of his personal Hell, the beginning of his dark hole of nothingness. He ran away as soon as he was old enough to. Eventually, his life crossed paths with Tsubaki once again. His memory flashback stopped and he looked at Tsubaki with a bright smile. "I will make you forget the outside world.. We'll create a world, where there's only you and I in it" He said softly, breaking happily into reality.
