[FIN] Finish the Promise

Well jeez, Yuri. Luke was pretty sure that the last time he had sneaked out of the manor it had been by creating a distraction, but okay.

Yeah well, that might have worked fine for one person who had never sneaked out before. But two? Yuri got things done, dammit.

Coming up to the gate, Yuri considered for a moment before starting to scale the thing. Once he reached the top, he straddled it and offered a hand to help Luke if he needed it.

Repede meanwhile, was small enough to squeeze through the bars.

Luke regarded the fence with some apprehension, unsure of whether or not his physical condition was good enough to overcome it, so Yuri's offered assistance was accepted gratefully (if not with some difficulty, given that his dominant hand was more or less out of commission). Coming down from the other side was significantly less of a challenge, and being on the other side of the manor's fence was a huge relief in itself.

Once Luke was up and over safely, Yuri landed right next to him. He flashed Luke a grin, noticing the obvious relief, before taking off in the direction of the street so they could make a break for it.

Despite it all, the security cameras at the gate had probably seen them, so there was only so much time.

Had Luke been thinking about the security cameras, he might have felt so inclined to give one of them a rude gesture. He knew that it probably wouldn't be too long before he had some contact with his father to explain his actions and his plans, but for now it was simply a pleasure to be free of the oppressive atmosphere of the manor, to be on course to be free of the oppressive atmosphere of the country. For now he focused on keeping up, though he could only go so far - far enough to escape the possibility of being spotted by the manor's patrol, at least - before he was forced to stop to catch his breath.

A certain Mismagius had been keeping an eye on Luke up until the point when Yuri's fist collided with the young noble's jaw to prevent self-injury, and after that the ghost had fled as fast as she could to Rosie's and Sera's hotel room. Once there, an almighty racket was made until the girls were awake and up, though Giselle didn't calm until the urgency of the situation was conveyed and the girls were out the door.

Once outside, Sera let Luna out and managed to somehow climb onto her back despite how disoriented she was from being just woken, and Luna spun in an anxious circle while she waited for Rosie to get on her own Rapidash.

Giselle being there was startling enough, but the way she was acting was what got to them. Rosie couldn't think of another time she had gotten out of bed so quickly. and upon the two girls quickly making up their mind that something must be wrong, Rosie threw on jeans, and a long shirt, Boots would take too long to put on so she slipped into flats and they were out the door.

A love ball popped open the second the door to the hotel was opened, and an explosion of bright pink in the night streamed out, forming and breaking away in a flurry of bright orange and brown flame.
Pastin reared up with a powerful neigh. dropping back down onto his hooves as Rosie hurried over.
"We need to find out whats wrong, Pastin, I need you to run as hard as you can."
His trainer said her voice laced with concern, both her hands placed under his cheeks, looking into his face to make sure he understood.
Pastin snorted that he understood, his eyes determined.

Rosie was up on his back as easily as she had done many times before, and with a look over to Seraphine on Luna. nudging Pastin lightly, causing the Rapidash to jolt into action, much more harshly and powerfully then Celestia ever could.

The two of them ran, but when Luke began to slow down, Yuri decided to let the poor kid catch his breath. Putting his hand on a roadside tree, he kept a look out for any guards from the manor or the like.

"You all right?" he asked of the red head. After all, he'd just had a heart transplant not too long ago. Probably shouldn't be pushing it or something.

Luke nodded in confirmation, focusing on returning to a normal respiratory rate. He could have been worse, that was for sure. A whole lot worse - but he strove to keep his thoughts elsewhere.

Luna much preferred her sister for obvious reasons, but once she saw Pastin out of his ball she broke into a gallop down the street towards the manor they were at earlier, and it wasn't long at all before the other Rapidash overtook and passed her. Still, she pushed herself harder, struggling to even match his speed.

Sera had been concerned at the sudden appearance of her Mismagius, especially after she had specifically told her to wait until tomorrow, and had no idea what had happened or what would be waiting for them when they got to Luke's house; all she could do was hope it wasn't that bad.

Rapidash traveled infinitely faster than two humans could, so the pair practically flew through the business district in no time at all.

The turns were hard on the Rapidash, and the constant looking out for people who might be out at this time of night was always a worry. but eventually the aria opened up, and the Rapidash had more of a straight shot.
Rosie saw the opening, and felt that breath Pastin gives out when he's about to take off, felt the stride go longer.
Knowing her pokemon better then Anyone, Rosie leaned low, and held tight as the flames that flickered around her burst form his mane.
She had to remind him to keep a comfortable enough pace for Luna, the other Rapidash not trained for this kind of running, nor probably her beloved friend on her back.

As quickly as the ride was going, she couldn't shake a sense that they just couldn't go fast enough. overcome with worry, her mind coming up with the worse scenarios despite herself. Heck what were they even going to do if they got there? they can't get in, stand out and just look on hopelessly trying to convince the guards to please please please open the gates!

Yuri's hair quickly whipped around upon turning suddenly, hearing the hoofbeats of Rapidash approaching. The man swore under his breath. "That could be the Guarde," he told Luke.

Damn that was quick.

The possibility that his father had sent the damned military in pursuit of them was absolutely infuriating, and Luke searched for the source of the faint sound with an expression of disdain, tensed to move as soon as he knew which direction was best suited for escape. "It had better not be," he muttered bitterly. Not only was he going to be imprisoned, but hunted down? Didn't that seem a little extreme?

It was much more difficult to recognize anything they had seen in the day, when it was night. let alone moving much faster then the pleasant trot they had before, but Rosie did her best to try and keep an eye out for where they were going.
Once she had a better feel for Pastin' pace, she could push herself up, leaning up on her hands to get a better view.
This was the path alright, she knew that there were some small scattering of trees from before and the building looked kinda-
Rosie blinked, noticing that where were a couple of people on the path they were on, this surprised her, considering the time of night.

It wasn't until they got a little closer that she noticed certain things about the people that she recognized. Her eyes shot wide.
"Stop! STOP PASTING STOP! "

The Rapidash complied, lowering his speed quickly, but smoothly, narrowing his eyes softly at the two people as he dropped into a canter and pulling into a stop a few feet away from them.

It didn't even take Rosie a second to recognize her friends, Yuri, the dark haired man they had just barely begun to meet, and Luke. Luke the person they had been trying to find.

"Ah!" Rosie's face shifted from surprise straight to a desperate mix of relief and sadness. All the worry she had been feeling, suddenly catching up with her as she half stumbled off of Pastin, and ran over to Luke without warning she just hugged her friend. "Luke!"

At least for Luna, it was easier for her to follow Pastin's path rather than forge her own when they didn't know exactly where they were going. Turns were hard at such speeds, although she had absolutely none of Rosie's misgivings about it being night.

She heard and saw the blond girl stop her Rapidash though, so her pace slowed more smoothly before she came to a stop near Pastin. Sera got off immediately too, looking similarly relieved; she also looked hesitant, but only briefly before she moved the last couple of feet to throw her arms around Luke too, effectively sandwiching him between the girls. "Finally! Holy crap." Holy crap indeed, but they'd finally found him. Freaking finally.
