[FIN] Try Again

At Rosie's playful declaration of her challenge, Dove laughed, then rose to her own feet, carefully balancing the sleeping pokemon in her arm as she pulled a little pink ball from her belt and returned the Togepi to it. It would probably be more comfortable resting there anyway, especially with a battle about to happen.

With a smile, she made her way over to the girl, Lovey at her heels as always. "We accept," she returned lightly, though the giggle that escaped with it showed a little nervousness. "Lead the way!"

When the challenge was accepted Rosie perked up, stepping herself into a little spin that faced her toward the door, leading the way out back into the city.

It didn't take too long to reach an aria they could battle safely in. Rosie didn't suspect it was going to be too intense, so they wouldn't need very much space. But it was always good idea to be careful when it came to pokemon powers.

"Alright! So how about going up against Melody?" Rosie asked, stepping up to face Dove, bringing up a Love ball in her hand.

As Rosie turned to lead the way, Dove called the eevee back to her ball, then followed the pink clad girl quietly, doing her best not to overthink things. It was natural for her to be nervous... she and her team had never actually faced another trainer before...or a trainer in general, since she wasn't sure she could even consider herself a trainer... Not yet, anyway, if ever... Would Rosie go hard on them, knowing they had only just begun...? Surely not, but then would Rosie expect any of her team to be able to hold up against her own for any length of time? Surely it wouldn't be too intense...It wasn't as though anything was at stake...

Failing miserably to control her thoughts, Dove stopped as Rosie spoke, a short distance falling between them as the girl lifted the Love ball. "Um...Melody?" Which of her pokemon was that again? "I mean, it's your choice, right?" she giggled, tucking her hair back in habit.

"I think Melody would be a great choice for this battle." Rosie nodded to show she made her pick.
As for the questioning tone, Rosie tossed the ball lightly out, letting it pop open releasing an emerald colored Charizard onto the field.

Wings stretching out high over her body, shaking herself out before the wings folded to her back.
Melody grinned as Gray eyes looked across at Dove.

When the pokemon appeared as the light glowed dimmer, Dove's eyes widened hugely, and she stepped back, putting a bit more room into the makeshift battle field. "H-Hello, Melody...!" She greeted it, her hand moving to her belt and pulling up a luxury ball. It was a friendly battle after all. "That's magnificent, Rosie!" she added to the girl, looking the Charizard over. It really was Impressive.

"Alright, Sparky... Showtime." She pressed the release on the ball and watched as the Typhlosion appeared and surveyed it's surroundings, its eyes locking onto the Charizard before it with no hesitation, first a look of surprise, then a smirk spreading across his face.

Dove hitched the ball back to her hip, sighing a little. "Don't get too, cocky, Sparky. Remember, they've been training this whole time. We'll have to work really hard!" Her typhlosion was strong, but it had been forever--and never while in her possession-- since it had faced such a real challenge. She believed in him, but this...

This was going to be tough.

Rosie smiled at the complement, while Melody drew herself up, holding her head high and flexing her wings, letting the sun gleam off of her shining green scales.
Showing off just a little after a complement like that.

"Okay Melody, This is a new Team, Dove and Sparky, Lets see what they've got, okay~"
Rosie told her Charizard, who replied with a low roar.

"Lets start this out with an Echoed Voice."

At the first attack, Melody drew herself up, opening her mouth as a long, harsh sound blew from her jaws, the attack's soundwave's flying at Sparky.

At the sound of the Charizard's attack, Dove tensed, watching with a grimace as Sparky attempted to evade it and failed. The typhlosion took the blow, turning its shoulder to the blunt force of it, then shook it off as best he could, waiting impatiently for his trainer's command as he recovered from the initial shock.

"Alright, Sparky, hit her with Shadow Claw," she commanded, watching in hopes that he attacked as they had trained. A fire attack would do no good, at least, not much good. To start, this was probably his best option, she thought.

The typhlosion, like most of it's type, was much quicker on it's feet than it looked, and swiftly moved toward the other fire-type, swiping a dark paw toward the other pokemon at full force.

When her jaws snapped shut, ending the attack, she lowered her body toward the ground.
It was Sparky's turn, and he came at her after the attack with another one that brought a shadowed claw at her in a vicious blow.
The Charizard however, did not even attempt to get out of the way, instead she leaped herself into the attack, and braced herself into the blow, letting out a grunt as the claw dug across her scales.

This however put her in an ideal position right in front of the Typhosion. Melody's mouth opened again once his attack followed through, and yet again a thundering roar burst from her lungs, the shock wave, increasing in size from the first round aimed in an attempt to hit Sparky's face.

Dove watched Sparky's attack against the Charizard hit, though the urge to cheer for him was squelched almost immediately by the next wave of sound the opponent released.

Sparky, fully aware of the Melody's intent, braced himself, ears pressed flat against his head and jaw clenched tightly. However, when the attack-- stronger than the last one-- hit him full in the face instead of to the side, he reeled back, then retaliated fiercely with a a roar and a ThunderPunch, aimed for the larger Pokemon's jaw.

This attack certainly had more of an impact on Melody then the last one, the dragon had let out a roar of pain that was quickly snuffed out as the electricity ripped through her body and wings from the attack.

Type weaknesses sucked, and generally do wonders to end a fight quickly, but Melody still stood once the attack passed. hunched in pain, but drawing herself up with another snort of steam.

"Oh that was a rough one Melody!" Rosie called to her Dragon "Way to ride it through!" She cheered proudly causing the Charizard to flick her tail happily and hold herself a little higher.
She knew that Dove was still just starting to train with her pokemon, otherwise that attack would have been much much more damaging to a Charizard.

Melody was sticking with the strategy of the Echoed Voice, an attack that just got more and more powerful when used in consecutive rounds. Rosie didn't need to say anything before another increased blast of sound was launched at the Typhosion, bigger then the last two.

Dove's eyes widened in surprise when Sparky's attack seemed to be stronger than she had expected, and she raised her voice to cheer him on. "Perfect, Sparky! That was great!"

The typhlosion clenched his fist, his whole mind still focused on the battle at hand, his eyes watching as the Charizard regained its footing, and when it reared again with another Echoed Voice, he was ready--tired, but braced for the doubled attack. He shielded his face with his arms, doing his best to block the worst of it, but still buckled, his face set in a grimace as the attack ended.

Dove's brows furrowed, and she watched carefully, Sparky's limits set in her mind as she watched. His accuracy was almost deadly, most of his attacks able to land everytime. He was strong, and had been regaining his previous strength as they trained. However, as tired as the fire type was, the girl knew his determination was his true strength, and that if they were to give in now, it would take forever for him to forgive her. With a deep breath, weighing her options, she called to him again. "Alright Sparky! Keep it up!"

His eyes locked on the green dragon before him, the Typhlosion raged on, swiping again with another ThunderPunch.

Oh she knew what was coming and she didn't want to deal with THAT again!
Her wings were open before he could get close though, suddenly hitting the air as he made his swing at her, and launching the emerald lizard into the air.
She hissed at she felt a sharp static from the attack that she had avoided but otherwise managed to get out of the way in time.

She landed hard on all fours when the electricity died away, taking a long deep breath unto her lungs, her next attack shattering out with a harsh but somewhat sweet melody of her Echoes Song, ripping from her throat.

The typhlosion growled when the Pokemon evaded his attack, watching with narrowed eyes as it flew around him, ready when it landed. Quickly, the typhlosion moved aside, the full force of the attack missing him, but the echoes of it clipping him, and when he skidded to a halt, his limb trembled just enough fr his trainer to see. Glancing to the dragon as it finished releasing its attack, the trainer shook her head. He had had enough for today, and the battle was only to see how he had come along. She had seen enough, and even as she pulled the luxury ball from her side, she smiled, proud of his hard work. "Sparky that's enough..."

The typhlosion turned its attention to her, it's eyes growing as though I've was getting ready to defy her, then relaxing as he huffed. She was his master and he wouldn't do her the dishoner of disobeying her in agreed battle. ...and he was tired.

Rosie was surprised when the battle was called off, Blue eyes moving over toward the girl when she did.
"Is everything okay?" She asked, sounding concerned.

Melody didn't seem as concerned, her eyes blinked as she let out an annoyed whine. She felt ripped off.

Dove lifted her eyes to Rosie, a bit confused. "You just wanted to see what he could do, right?" she asked innocently, looking back to the tired Typhlosion. She saw no point in continuing a battle that was already lost, unless Rosie just really wanted to finish it.

Sparky huffed and rolled his eyes. he sighed, glancing back to the long haired girl.
