Ah, there it was. "Of course not," he murmured softly as his fingers trailed down to her jawline before his palm smoothed over her cheek, and he tilted his head towards her once more, though he paused with his face dangerously close to hers. "I definitely don't offer disappointment," Abel said in low, smooth tones, his gaze focused steadily on hers, then moved to press his lips to hers as his hand slipped down and around to curve gently around the back of her neck.

A soft hum, before his lips pressed to hers. There it was. Her eyes fluttered shut as his hand swept to the back of her neck, and her own lifted from her lap, one to play through the hair at the nape of his neck, the other ghosting along his collar to lay at his shoulder.

With gentle pressure, she moved her lips against his, testing the waters tentatively, but with no immediate signs of backing away.

Well... this was nice.

Briefly he wondered why she waited only until after he initiated to reciprocate, but pushed the thought aside as she at least displayed the desire to continue, so he deepened the kiss as his hand slid down to trail down her spine instead.

Eventually, though, he realized the need to breathe, so he moved to break off the kiss. Instead of pulling away, though, he gently rested his forehead on hers and offered her a smile as his hand lingered at her lower back. "That the kind of offer you were expecting?" He asked, his voice still a low murmur.

She smiled against him as he deepened the kiss, and fell into play along with him, pressing a little closer as his hand slid down her back, and when he broke away, she allowed him to rest against her, her fingertips still gently massaging the back of his neck.

She met his eyes slowly with a soft grin. "It'll do~" she whispered, making no move to draw away from him.

She did silently find it odd that no red flags went off in the back of her mind, at least, not to a point where they bothered her enough to drop everything like she had her first night out like this. Funny, she mused internally, how these things turned out.

"'It'll do'?" He repeated as he leaned his head away, his eyebrows raising as he pretended to scoff, though his smile - and his hand on her back - stayed. The hand on his glass raised once again to polish off his drink - had to stay hydrated after all - and he chuckled lightly once he finished and lowered it back to the table before he tilted his face close to hers again, almost but not quite touching it. "Are you always so reticent with your compliments?" He asked playfully, though really, she was quite good at giving mixed signals. That wasn't really a good thing.

She watched him move back to take a drink, slightly curious and amused at the little breaks he was taking here and there in favor of his drink.

The hand on her back was almost uncomfortably hot.

At his playful question, she frowned, though it was a partial reflection of her true feelings at the moment. She was almost confusing herself with the back and forth she was giving him, and while it wasn't fair, a part of her didn't even want to care.

However, the larger, kinder portion of her won her over, and she flicked her gaze to his lips before meeting his eyes again. "It's been a long week," she answered in explanation, wondering if he would even have a shred of an idea what that meant, though she supposed, at this point, while it normally would bother her, it really didn't matter so much. "But if it's compliments you're after..." Her fingers played through his hair again, and she spoke against his lips. "You're a very good kisser, to start."

His gaze softened a bit at her words, and he gave an understanding nod. "Yeah, I know how that is." Her compliments heartened him a bit though, and his face split into a small grin. "Well, I'd be lying if I said I didn't like to hear them now and then," he replied as she leaned in, his gaze dropping to her lips briefly before focusing back on her eyes, "and you're not so bad yourself." The words had scarcely left his lips before they pressed to hers for the second time, less hesitant this time because he knew she was clearly interested, and his hand trailed up once again, brushing up over her shoulder before it curved around the side of her neck, his thumb ghosting along the bottom of her earlobe once again. His other hand, now free that his drink was finished, gently trailed its fingers over her hand and up her bare arm, though it stopped halfway and instead dipped to rest against her waist.

She grinned a little at his comment--typical guy. It was sonewhat endearing, but instead of playfully voicing such, she kissed him back, carefully keeping track of his hands. His hold was gentle, she felt, but the combination of a pretty much stranger's hand on her neck and side--her sore sides, she was reminded subtly-- was almost enough to make her nervous--but not quite.

What did make her nervous was her lack of inexperience with these matters, and though she did what came naturally, and while Abel was a nice guy (as far as she knew), he was still very new to her in all senses of the word, and while she had what she deemed enough experience in lip lock, she absently wondered if this in itself was okay.

Acceptable or not, this was fun for the time being, even with her small lack of resolve, the smile remained evident in her kiss, before she pulled away again for breath.

He let her pull away for a break for a few moments, but he leaned in once more to steal a short kiss from her before moving back slightly. The hand on her waist shifted once more back to her arm, traveling down it lightly again before it curved under her fingers in order to lift her hand so he could kiss it once more, just like before. His eyes remained focused on hers the whole time, even as he lowered her hand once again with a smile. "How're you feeling?" He asked, idly running his thumb over her fingers before removing it to rest on the table, his other hand moving again to the back of her neck to trace soft, small circles there. "We could go dance again, if you'd like, or we could keep resting for a while," though calling it 'resting' was a little misleading, all things considered.

The shorter kiss was returned, though when he moved back, it was clear her breaths were slightly different. Goosebumps spread up her arm where he stroked her arm, and she watched quietly as he kissed her hand again, though his hand returning to her neck made her eyes flick up to his once more.

For a long moment, she simply looked back at him, her heart racing. While unsure of herself, his kiss had left her wanting more, and for a moment, inner conflict was clear in her eyes. "I feel..." How did she feel? Drained, maybe but exhilarated. Curious, but hesitant. Seriously turned on, but wary. ...a serious combination of all of it, and very, very hazy.

...at first, she arrived at the club feeling scorned, but powerful. Abel had led her into a happier emotion, strong and thrilled. However, now that he posed his question, she was unsure how to answer it entirely. Her values screamed at her, and she had more than half a mind to walk away right now and save him the trouble, but he too, seemed pleased with how things were going, and her very core urged her to fight what had been. "I feel... tempted." A small, true smile, with a hint of play. "Maybe a little dangerous."

His suggestions were met with a slight tilt of her head toward the hand he brushed her neck with. "We can most certainly dance again," she replied, though she gave a short giggle afterward. "...and I think your idea of the term 'resting' needs a little evaluation."

Tempted was good. Very good. He set that aside for the moment though and instead opted to respond first to his word choice, to which he chuckled lightly, looking abashed briefly. "Evaluate away, then - I just thought saying 'resting' would be more polite," he replied honestly. More polite than saying they were making out at a table in the corner, anyway.

His smile grew, then, to something much more interested and intrigued, with a hint of something else as he inclined his head toward her again, though didn't move in completely just yet. "I'm curious, though," he began in low tones, "about just how dangerous you're feeling."

"Mm, what a gentleman," she laughed lightly, reaching up to brush his bangs away from his eyes with a gentle hand. Polite...yes, of course, she thought sarcastically. Any past version of herself would be having a conniption right now.

His smile made her stomach flutter, and for a moment, she looked back at him with hazed eyes. Eventually, however, she met his eyes with a look of contemplation. "Maybe you'll have to find out, sometime..." she said softly, leaving it as open ended as he wished it to be. A grin, and a soft laugh, before she moved to steal a quick kiss. "We did just meet, after all..."

Met and hit it off well, apparently.

Her touch made him smile, as did her words. Gentleman indeed - though he avoided thinking of all the various types of sleazeballs that could've approached her instead, and instead pretended a brief, sheepish glance downward before his gaze returned to her eyes, and he returned her kiss when she gave it. "Nonsense," he said, a hint of merriment in his voice. "We met the other day. No better time than the present, though, and if I'm the gentleman," he paused, his fingers replaced by his arm as his hand curved around her other shoulder and he moved to stand beside her chair, offering her his other hand as he leaned his head towards her again, his soft words aimed more at her ear than her face, "I'd be honored to have such a beautiful lady accompany me for the evening." His words were sincere, yet playful - if she could pose open-ended offers, he could match her in full.

She shivered a little at the voice that came to her ears, and looked to him quietly as he moved to stand beside her, his arm around her neck and other extended as if to lead her away.

"Accompany you...? Where?" she asked, genuinely curious, but betraying a small hope their might be something else up his sleeve than what she thought he might be thinking. While thoroughly intrigued, and already a bit more daring than she felt she probably should have been, she still wondered about his intent and didnt want to get him mixed up in her problems... She wasnt too sure what her problems were, though, at this point, given the new outlook she had adopted.

He retracted his hand and instead placed it on his chest, giving her a look of pretend shock and surprise. "To the dance floor, of course," he said as the expression morphed into an amused, interested smile as he extended the hand to her again. Very interested. "Why? Where did you think I meant..?"
