[PRP] A Seaside Excursion

[Gwennythe]

"Yeah! We totally are!" Henrietta was happy, and proud, to agree, giving Jace a thumbs up. "We're awesome! And you'll be an awesome trainer too when ya get your pokémon, I know it!"

She followed, with Gummy just behind the two of them, waddling toward the indicated space. As soon as they were close enough, though it might have been doubtful that the Totodile even realised so, the little reptile sat, heavily, down on the sand once more.

"Something cool!" Henrietta insisted, when Jace asked what was first. "Hey, maybe we should decided just how big we really want it?!"

By the time he sat in the sand, the boy was positively beaming, fueled by the girl's positive attitude, and at her prediction, he simply laughed, nodding.

"Well, yeah it's gonna be something cool!" he grinned, though he sounded as though he couldn't understand why there had been any doubt in her mind that it might not be. "I say we make it huge! With a moat and everything!" Again, unable to speak without using his hands, his gestured to show his idea of the enormous structure.

"Yeah! Really ginormous!" Henrietta agreed, nodding emphatically before pointing at Gummy. "Gummy! You gotta fill the moat when we're done, kay? Good!" She seemed to have taken his lack of response as an affirmation.

"So should we dig the moat first? It's gotta go all the way around the outside but," The trainer blinked, then smacked herself on the forehead "it'd make it real hard to build the thing in the middle without falling in!" Seemed to have been her realization.

Jace looked confused, as Gummy hadn't responded, but accepted it easily. He was Henrietta's Pokemon and friend. She probably knew him real well.

Though he was about to gently correct her--he didn't want to hurt her feelings!-- Henrietta quickly caught herself, and he laughed. yeah, that would be kinda hard. We can draw it in the sand though!" he offered, pulling his shovel from his pail.  

[Gwennythe]

"Hey, yeah! That's a good idea!" Henrietta grinned as she nodded. "If we draw the moat out we'll be able to see how big an area to stay inside! Let's make sure it's really really big!"

Gummy watched the pair with his staring eyes. He seemed quite intent, now, on watching the pair, though it was doubtful if he was actually noticing what they were doing.

With a nod, Jace rose again and quickly got to work drawing in the sand with his foot, scooting and shuffling around with his feet in the sand to make his marks. Once a circle was completed, he looked at the girl again. "Think this'll work?"

Henrietta stood up, to help if she could, but she held back, wanting to see what Jace came up with.
Her own imagination called for an epic, sweeping, awesome castle, worthy of some European fairy tale.
However, a lot of that put focus into height, and any moat size that Jace would have come up with (beyond really tiny anyway) would have gotten the enthusiastic thumbs up and grin she delivered in response to his question.

"Totally! We can build the castle, and the Salamence, inside there and then we can dig it out and Gummy'll fill it right up! It'll look so awesome!"

With her enthusiastic response, Jace nodded again. "Oh yeah, the Salamence! We gotta put that somewhere...!" he added brightly, before kneeling again to push sand toward the middle of the ring, foregoing the tiny shovel. "You can use the bucket and shovel if you want, but this is lots easier," he told Henrietta, clearly not afraid to get his hands dirty.  

[Gwennythe]

"Hey, maybe we could have two Salamence?! They could be guarding each side! I betcha that'd look so awesome!" The girl then, watched, curiously as Jace pushed the sand with his hands. Yeah, that was easier; she kind of remembered doing that sort of thing.
"Thanks!" She grinned as he offered the bucket and shovel "but yeah, that way looks more fun too!" Henrietta agreed, then knelt down too to do the same thing.

He smiled as she joined him, and gasped aloud at her suggestion. "Whoa! That would be awesome! It's a great idea!" he proclaimed, tossing sand into a pile. "Castle first, though, right?" he asked, looking to her.  

[Gwennythe]

"Yeah! Castle first! Gotta have something to guard before we have guards!" Henrietta agreed as she, too, pushed a pile of sand toward the middle. "And we're gonna have something awesome for awesome guards!"

Gummy flopped forward, into the sand, then watching the pair from all fours.

He laughed and nodded his affirmative, then set to work pushing sand into the middle once more.

Eventually, a large pile of sand was stacked at the center, and the boy stood up. "I think we're gonna need a little water now...to make it sticky," he said, too shy to ask for another trainer's Pokemon for assistance.  

[Gwennythe]

"Awesome!" Henrietta replied, with a grin, and pointed at Gummy. "That's your cue, Gummy! C'mon, Water Gun!"

The purple hair-trainer asked for an attack, but there was no opponent.
She'd forgotten to direct him to aim it into the bucket.
With a lack of information, but a request for an attack, Gummy looked straight up, and sprayed a small fountain into the air.

Jace turned his attention to Gummy, clearly excited to see him act on his trainer's command as she called for a water gun.

However, as the Totodile only sprayed a stream into the air, he tilted his head. "That's it?" he asked, confused.  

[Gwennythe]

Henrietta, on the other hand, giggled at the fountain that the little reptile was spraying into the air.
"Man, Gummy, no! Water Gun the sand! And the bucket!" She called, amused.
Once again, Gummy failed to entirely intuit what was meant; while the Water Gun met the sand correctly, upon turning it on the bucket, he was aiming -at- the bucket, rather than into it.
He was also getting a lot more wet than just his targets.
