She smirked a little from where she stood, then shook her head. Good Gummy.
After a short bout of laughter at the totodile's behavior, Jace, again, shook his head, this time jabbing the fire with his stick until he froze. "All their blood?! Is she gonna die and turn into a vampire?!? Why do they only go after guys?!" he demanded, his little shoulders growing more tense by the second.
As the young boy tensed, Dove did as well, her glare growing even more heated. This was too much, and though it wasn't directly about her, she had half a mind to let Sparky loose on the man.

Jace looked a little more reassured at Henrietta's insistence, and nodded at her. "It's a natural thing?" he asked Yuri, looking around at the woods again. "Is she gonna be okay? Is that what's making her mean, other than you?"
Dove's eyes trailed to Repede at the huff, but she shook her head, stepping back into the camp area with purpose. "Seriously, Yuri? Stop. This is ridiculous."
Lovey, who had followed Dove and Sparky, went to Jace quickly, her tail waving behind her as she attempted to calm him a bit.
Jace looked up at Dove, wondering if she was really okay.
Sparky growled lowly at the man, his eyes catching the fire burning between them.

Jace blinked back at Yuri's confusion, then shook his head. He didn't want to offend him, cause he hadn't really done anything wrong.... "No, no! I mean--"
Then Fluffster was barking, winglett was flitting around, and Lovey left him to go calm her daughter and explain. The added noise wouldn't help the tension.
Jace nodded at Henrietta. She was a girl, and Yuri's story didn't make much sense... He couldn't see Hen turning into a vampire--not a real one anyway-- and Dove wasn't that scary.... Still though, she was acting different.....
Yuri's calmness, while it only confused Jace more and added to his uneasiness--Dove was clearly still really mad...-- that had already piled up, only infuriated Dove in her haze of frustration. "Education? Yuri, you just told an eleven year old that I'm turning into a monster!" it had upset Henrietta, and she felt a stab of guilt when she realized her leaving had worried the girl. Jace was too young to really understand Yuri was joking, even as smart as he was.
Sparky, upon being ignored , stepped closer, stopped only by Lovey as she approached and stood between her girl, the typhlosion and Yuri. This was out of hand, and it was upsetting the children.... Her trainer's temper flared easily, especially under stress, and if she wouldn't calm down, the eevee feared the night might become a terrible memory for them all.

Jace watched Yuri's wave, nodding--again-- as he accepted it. Chester stepped forward and reached out to pat the boy's head then stood nearby for peace of mind.
Dove tensed, and found her fists clenching. He had a point, though he shouldn't have started the entire conversation in the first place. Unable to bite her tongue back any longer, even with Lovey's gentle insistence, she bit back, hearing the words after they left her. "Well hey, it's natural," she snapped. "At least I didn't choose to be a monster"
All at once, her blood turned to ice and the angry red flush in her cheeks paled as she realized what she had said. The attack had fallen from her lips before she understood it herself, and she hadn't meant it. Her expression suddenly changed from anger to fear and dread, and she found herself staring at the man as if clinging to a weak, fraying thread.
