[FIN] Hunting for Dragons

Jace's face stayed red, but he nodded at Henrietta all th same. "Alright! Let's do it! Hang in there, winglett!!" With that, he tossed a pokeball, watching as the colorfully scaled swablu disappeared in a flash of light, his fingers crossed behind his back.

Dove stood off to the side, already digging through her bag for the proper berries and items, shifting through the rolls of medical equipment and medications she had learned to keep on her person.

The ball in front of him wiggled a few times... Then went still.

Henrietta waited until Jace's ball went still; she wasn't totally sure about how it worked, but she was afraid of messing up something by throwing two empty pokéballs at pokémon too close together.

Once Jace's Swablu was caught, she threw her own ball and watched as the blue Swablu vanished into energy, disappearing into the ball too.
Shake. Shake. Still.
She grinned at the little chime the mechanism gave out, signalling successful capture.
"Awesome!" Of course, there was still Winglet to attend to. "Thanks Winglet! Now we gotta get you healed up and then we can think of a name for our new friend!"

Jace watched in silence as the ball shook, then forcibly bit back his excitement as h waited for Henritta's to still as well, and when it did, he jumped into the air, both fists jabbed high into the sky as he quite literally leapt for joy. "Yeah!!!!! We did it! That's our first someday dragon pokemon!" he cheered for both himself and his trainer friend.

Zap, clearly pleased with their efforts, followed his actions and jumped up as well, giving happy chitters along with her trainer, calming a little as he did and went over to the ball to collect it.

Ball in hand, he went straight to Dove, then pointed at Winglett, the ball still tight in his hand. "Do you have anything to help Winglett?" he asked, sheepishly looking at Henrietta again.

Dove smiled and stepped around the boy, ruffling his hair. "Of course. Great job you two!" with that, she offered Henrietta a few berries and a tiny bottle.

The group would hear a howl from the woods behind them.

A few moments later Link came running up to them. The Arcanine circled the three people and urgently motioned for them to follow him. The dog particularly nudging Dove and her back of medical supplies.

While she had relaxed during the children's battle, the howl from the woods made her tense, and as the arcanine appeared and circled them, her heart began to beat a little faster, especially when he nudged her bag. "Link...? What's wrong?"

Jace watched Link curiously, then looked around for Repede, Astal and Yuri, confused when he saw none of them, and even more so about the arcanine's behavior. "What is it, boy?"

Lovey's ears flattened and she gave a soft whine, suddenly fearful in the arcanine's abrupt return. Something wasn't right.

With only a short moment of hesitation, Dove looked to Thierry, then moved to a pile of rocks, nearly throwing herself into the Rapidash's back as he came to her. "Aurora, Lovey, stay with Henrietta and Jace," was all she said, before she raced off after the massive dog, hoping Thierry could get her to wherever Link lead quickly.

Jace blinked, still clutching the ball containing his new Pokemon as Xap darted up his shoulder, then turned back to Hemrietta as Aurora stepped toward them, her eyes on the woods. "What...What's going on?"

Link sped away as soon as Dove was on her Rapidash, expecting them to follow.

He led them back to the stream, past where Tymiko was in a tree, and further downstream at the base of a waterfall. There was Repede, watching as a purple Vaporeon dragged an unconscious Yuri from the water. The Growlithe moving to help.

Her mind raced as fast as the Rapidash ran, ten thousand scenarios running through her head. What she saw as Link finally slowed wasn't one of them.

"Yuri...

Thierry came to a halt, not far away from the edge of the bank, offering a low huff as his trainer slid quickly from his back and ran to the man's side, reaching down to help the Pokemon get him firmly onto the land.

Her hands moved fast, gently turning him over onto his back as she hastily brushed the soaking hair from his face, a hand moving to the side if his neck for pulse, bending over him to listen for his breathing. Finding none, she immediately began CPR with chest compressions first, followed by a giving of her own breath as she tipped his head back, then repeating the cycle.

Her heart raced painfully, completely ignored.

Dove's efforts paid off and within moments Yuri's chest heaved and he began coughing up water. His eyes cracked open for a moment then closed again with a pained groan. His skin was pale and his lips were purple. His body then began trembling.

Repede woofed and pointed his nose at a tear in his partners clothing, trying to draw Dove's attention to the wound.

Astal just say nearby with apprehension, while Link stood nearby as well.

She drew back, letting out a short live sigh of relief as he sputtered back to life, catching his head as he collapsed again. The first thing she noted was hold cold he was, and she motioned Thierry closer, then looked toward Repede as he stepped in, her attention going to the rip in the man's clothing. With no hesitation, she untied his belt and ripped the shirt open to reveal his torso, her face going pale to match his.

She looked on in horror, then shook her head almost violently to clear it, her chest painfully tight. "Get a fire going. He's freezing," she told the Pokemon firmly, sliding her bag from her back for the proper equipment.

Yuri....Yuri, Yuri, Yuri....!

The Pokemon went into action with Link gathering some wood into a pile while Repede ignited it. Within minutes they had a fire going a few feet away, just past the rocks and riverbank.

Yuri hovered in a state where he was barely conscious. Though it was shallow, he was atleast breathing. His pulse was weak however, and blood was seeping from an open wound that was atleast a couple inches long and very deep.

If there was any question what happened it would be partially answered as Yuri's sword finally came over the falls and clattered across some rocks.

While Henrietta dealt with Winglet, she didn't have a full attention on what was happening around them. She was aware that Link had come back, had taken Dove, and Yuri hadn't been with him, leaving Jace and herself with Aurora and Lovey.
She called Winglet back, looking much better already after just the basic attention, now needing to rest.
"Hey, what's going on?" She turned, to look at Jace... She'd name the Swablu soon, but things were... happening. Something worrying.

As Yuri's sword came over the falls, it was followed by a green Totodile, who simply bobbed, in a sitting position, until he came over the waterfall too, and then bobbed up, still sitting, to become washed up upon the bank.
It didn't look like his expression had changed since he'd first wandered into the water.

Jace stood, stunned at what had just happened, then looked over at Henrietta to give response to her question. "I dunno... I don't think it's good though..."

The ball in his hand was quickly clipped to his belt, and he called Zap back to her ball alongside it before stepping over to Henrietta. "Is Winglett okay? Sorry," he apologized again, looking over his shoulder to where Dove and Link and Thierry had disappeared.

After another moment's pause, he spoke up again. "Should we go, too....? Aurora, can we go, too?"

Aurora, at the boy's question, strode forward, looking over both children quietly, much more stoic than usual. With a soft sound, she pressed herself down to the ground, offering her back should they choose to go after the others.

While Aurora tended to the younger trainers, Dove continued her work over Yuri, fighting the ever growing pit in her stomach. The pokemon around her successfully built the fire, and she nodded to them, looking up just in time to see the sword and Gummy come over the waterfall.

The sword... He had been stabbed with his own sword? Balling a handful of gauze, she pressed it to the wound, applying even pressure as she tried to piece the event together. Tymiko... where was Tymiko? Thoughts of Ty being the attacker barely flitted through her mind... surely the girl had just run off to escape whoever had attacked them...

Checking the gauze and nearly finding herself ill over the amount of blood, she added more over the wound and gently moved his arm around her shoulder in order to elevate him so that she could wrap his midsection and keep the pads in place, as well as give him a little more heat if at all possible. Struggling to keep him up, she bound his torso, then laid him back carefully before rising and digging through Thierry's bags for blankets, preferably the heated one she had brought for even colder weather.

They had to get him to a hospital... there was very little else she would be able to do for him, and without immediate action....

Falling to her knees beside him again, she maneuvered him enough to get the blanket below him, switched it on, then covered him with others, all the while mumbling under her breath before she finally attempted to speak properly. "Yuri, can you hear me...? Please... You're going to be okay... God, Yuri please..."

Yuri was little more than a heavy, limp doll as Dove sat him up to wrap his wound. Half slumped over until she put him down again.

The Pokemon, not knowing what to do, just sat there and watched.

The man's half lidded eyes starred at nothing. Confused and unable to comprehend what was going on. He continued to shake, even as the blanket was wrapped around him. However after a few minutes his eyes widened as coughs wracked his body again, and he vomited blood.

Repede whined in distress as he could smell death creeping up on the human he'd spent the majority of his life with.

"Don't worry about it! She's fine, and that kinda thing happens..." Henrietta smiled and shrugged, patting the Quick Ball. "She's just gotta rest and she'll be ready to battle again in no time! Zap was awesome; I don't think Winglet will have minded getting to experience an awesome attack like that!"

Hen' watched as Jace asked Aurora, and then nodded.
"That's a good idea! Somethin's going on so they'll probably need everyone to help right? C'mon, let's get down there! Thank's Aurora!"
She moved to help Jace on first, if he needed it, preparing to get on behind him

Gummy probably wasn't going to be a lot of help; it was unlikely he even had any idea how he could be, certainly not without direction.
He sat on the bank, half turned toward the two humans.

Jace jumped up onto Aurora's back, then waited for Henrietta. When Aurora had them both securely on her back, she started off at a slow trot, then slowly picked up her pace, sniffing out the others as she made her way through the forest.

Dove's eyes widened hugely as he began to cough, then gasped as he wretched, unwilling to let him go to avoid the blood he produced. Now shaking herself, she pulled her gear from her side, and hurriedly searched for the proper number.

In moments the phone was ringing, and at the sound of the other line being answered, she started talking, not even bothering to stop for a greeting of any kind as she searched desperately for an answer. "Dith, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry but Yuri.. He's been hurt and I've reached my limits and I'm not sure what to do next.... He's been stabbed and I've wrapped him, but he's freezing and n-now vomiting blood and I don't know what to do...!"

Transportation... they had to get him to a hospital. Immediately. Surely they weren't so far away from Sandalwood...
