"Very true, but are there schools with girls as beautiful as you?" he said quietly, teasing her; he found the new girl attractive as well, but he was fond of Emma and knew that she knew he was subtly referring to his former reputation as a player with the girls and women. His eyebrow rose slightly as he heard a guitar start playing as a spotlight lit up Keith Urban; he wasn't all that sure why he was here, but guessed it was to be explained.

Emma smirked at him, "No. I would hope not," she spoke to him. She just hoped that his player side wouldn't come out for the new girl. She could see the beauty in her which made her worries come out even more.

Scarlet saw the spotlight light up on Keith Urban as she blinked. Sitting up more as she began to hear the guitar playing as she closed her eyes to listen to it more deeply. She knew of Keith Urban as she wondered why he was here at the school.

Thomas snorted softly. "I've decided not to let that side out... though I will admit there are some things we tend to keep from one another," he said quietly. He wasn't referring to the subtle scent of alcohol he'd noticed earlier, but a secret of his own: namely the fact that he knew exactly why Keith was here. Knowing Darin, it was likely a surprise to hear from me, he thought, knowing the skilled agent was his half brother. A very slight smirk played over the corners of his mouth, giving away his hidden amusement.

Thomas tilted his head slightly. "Turned out my father from a previous marriage had a son... who happens to be connected closely with who's right in front of us," he said with a shrug. He knew he wasn't telling everything, but he tilted his head slightly as Keith shifted into a more energetic song he knew many recognized immediately as people laughed and started cheering a bit.

Emma looked from Thomas to Keith Urban trying to figure out some sort of resemblance. "So then why would he be here at the school then?" she asked him. She knew there was more he wasn't sharing with her as she grew more curious.

Scarlet opened her eyes as she enjoyed the music. She refused to cheer wanting to silently show her appreciation of the music without causing it to be disrespectful.

Thomas crooked his finger to get Emma to bend closer to him; he knew she didn't know that much about his family other than that while he did love them, he wasn't that fond of spending time with them and so was out of the house a lot. "I can tell you're thinking that I'm referring to Keith himself, but I'm not... and it isn't a member of his band, either," he said quietly, amused. He didn't really seem to notice as the lights came up to half power, revealing the band behind Keith Urban.

Emma tried to think who in his family would be related to Thomas. It wasn't Keith or anyone in the band. Finally piecing together the puzzle she thought she may have it. "Is it his agent," she asked.

Thomas chuckled as he let his hand trail up to Emma's hip though the shorts Emma wore were quite attractive to him. "Bingo; Darin, to quote his words, said, 'look at it as a way of making up for thirteen years of missed birthdays.' Though I told him, 'why have just one person see him and his band when we can have half the school?' since it ain't exactly likely that many in the town has done more than buy the occasional CD, though I don't know many peoples' taste in music," he said wryly. He wondered if Emma knew that he himself played the guitar, and quite skillfully as well.

Emma felt his hand run up to her hip as she smiled at him. "Well that was very generous of you to do." she to him. She hadn't heard Thomas' guitar playing nor did she really know that he had. She was pretty oblivious to the fact while she knew more things around the school

Thomas chuckled before Keith lightly tapped the microphone, getting most of the students to go mostly quiet. "Maybe we should get a little help with this next one," Keith said idly, shifting the guitar so it pointed towards Thomas though most of the students didn't really seem to realize it.

Scarlet's eyes followed to who exactly was going to help Keith this time before seeing it pointed towards Thomas. She wondered what exactly he was going to do to help Keith. She noticed that he had been in some of her art class that was to help her with her art that she had been working on.

Thomas cocked an eyebrow, fairly sure what song Keith was referring to. "Hmm, and they say that being put on the spot's a bad thing," he deadpanned as he idly hugged Emma's hip. He knew his voice seemed amused, but it was covering the fact that he was actually quite nervous at the moment as he pushed off the bleachers.

Thomas exhaled slowly, rolling his shoulders as he walked towards the band, not all that surprised, but focusing on his own heartbeat which slowed from the pounding of nervousness to the slow, steady beat he was used to. He took the offered guitar, unconsciously flickering his fingers over the strings unconsciously, making Keith chuckle. "I think this will be fun," he said with amusement.
