[ORP] Oh My God

[ Zuberi --> Adam ]

For a long moment Zuberi stared quietly toward the shore. He licked his lips quickly, eyes flickering along the shore. So far he could barely make out the sight of the legendary. Eventually, it got closer, and closer. And then it was at the shore. And it was massive. Moto shifted slightly to hide a little more against Zuberi, realizing how big the Pokemon was frightened him. He didn't know there were creatures that big in the world. Zuberi paid Moto no mind though, knowing he'd be safe.

He saw the blond hair from the corner of his eye first. And for a while he ignored it thinking that it was just another Rocket moving around. That was until he approached. He glanced over toward Adam, eyebrow raising some before he glanced back toward the shore. His hands twitched slightly, wanting ot be closer than they were. "So it seems... It is... kushangaza." He murmured, shaking his head slightly and staring at the large creature.

Northern continued to translate what Groudon was saying to Alder, looking from the massive red ground type, to Alder in between what the Pokemon was saying and when he was speaking.
as she spoke though, her mannerisms and facial expressions started to portray what emotions she could feel from the Legendary.
a sort scowl crossed her face as she spoke with the tone that Groudon was portraying with his emotions. "- and it won't permit you to hinder it."

Just as soon as the words spoke from her she turned back to the Groudon, in her default wide eyes awe as she waited for what she would need to translate next.

Bro let out a snicker at the reaction he got from Zacharie, though his attention moved to Jabari when he spoke, earning a wider smirk when Zacharie tried to hush him.
He reached out to pat the other ghost's shoulder roughly.

the murmur of voices at the barricade pulled Bro's attention, he could only assume that the Legendary was showing up now.
On that cue the gengar floated out from the bushed, brushing past other people to re-join Jerome.
There the duo stood in silence as they watched a massive creature walking along the water and reach the beach.
Bro wouldn't admit it, but he felt a sense of dread clench his gut. This was a Legendary, and Bro really had never experienced something like that before.

He hissed, his hands balling into fists at his side. How the hell does Rocket stand up to Legendary is they're anything like that creature!

Jerome shot and elbow out to nudge the ghost type, "chill man-" he muttered in a low grumble of a voice.  

[Suudonym]

Alder couldn't help the tension that crept into his posture as Northern completed her translation. "Groudon, we know of only one time that Arceus has ever visited this land, and it was hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Will you tell me why you're looking for Arceus? Perhaps we can help you in its stead..."

"," Groudon replied, yellow eyes narrowing. "" Groudon's gaze wandered and fell upon a spot in the nearby ocean - an area of water with buoys around its perimeter meant to hold up a barrier that would ward off potential intruders. "," it continued. ""

(Rosie - Dith, Citrine)

The brief moment that Rosie was reunited with her friend Citrine was shared with a welcoming smile, though sadly the conversation would have to be put on hold as they would very quickly be visited by the Legendary as it drew closer.

The size of it was awe inspiring enough, she could feel Vahy'n draw herself to her feet next to her, clearly neither of them really prepared for what exactly they could be in the presence of.
The earth seemed to tremble just from the Ground Legendary's very breath, and Rosie was reminded very firmly just what kind of force a real Legendary is.

Rosie's hand clutched at the hem of her jacket, frozen in place and wondering just why they were gathered here... even if he decided to start destroying the city, would they really be able do anything about it?

For now things seemed to be calm, Northern went off with Alder to talk to the Legendary, the Jirachi's psychic voice able to reach all the humans in the aria.
the blond trainer blinked when it was made clear that Groudon was looking for Arceus, Sure they had just learned that the god of pokemon had been on Kodo in the distant pass, but surely it couldn't be here now.... could it?

[Adam - Zuberi]

What was going on? Adam frowned, wondering if their position would allow for a clear message. Nothing was coming through, and whatever was said was lost in the waves and tension that clogged the grunts ears. Even if a message wasn't going through, it was Groudon was not a happy camper. This was what a Legendary was like, huh? One giant, pissed red lizard on a beach.

Adam pressed closer to Zuberi, in a motion that belied the fear his face was struggling to hide, "Damn..." Adam took in a breath and let it out before looking at Zuberi, "What was that last word? Kushan.... guzu? Kashagaza?" Focus on anything other than the doom lizard that was bringing the sun, seeking its eternal rival to destroy.

(Sorry! ^_^; I didn't catch that part of her jirachi voice not reaching everyone when I read through.)

(Northern's voice can only be heard by those on the beach. I'm sorry her psychic energy can't reach as far as the barrier the others are kept behind D8 )

Alder's shoulders sank slightly at the news of Groudon's impossible goal. There had been no sightings of Kyogre since it and Groudon had last clashed however many years ago. As the massive legendary looked to the sea, however, the former champion furrowed his brow. "Arceus isn't here," he insisted with a shake of his head. "We haven't imprisoned it anywhere. To the best of my knowledge, no one has seen Arceus in recent history."

"," Groudon chastised. ""

Without giving Northern time to translate its words, Groudon opened its toothy maw and released a mighty roar, the blackened notches along its body glowing warmly as it expressed its power. In response, the water in the center of the buoys churned and then seemed to explode, a pillar of stone and earth from the seabed erupting rapidly upwards in a twisting motion.

[ Zuberi --> Adam ]

Zuberi wasn't fully certain what was going on. He couldn't understand the Pokemon, but by the way that Jirachi was moving, he was certain they were talking. He glanced at Moto and reached to pet along it's fur, before looking over toward Adam. He watched the small blond seem to move closer, and didn't react much to it. If Adam needed the support of being close to someone else, and Izaya wasn't here, then he didn't mind too much. He shifted some and pushed his hands into his pockets to continue watching the beach. "Mm? Kushangaza. It means... Amazing, wondrous, marvelous... excreta." He stated, before looking once more down at the beach.

At the mighty rawr by the legendary, he flinched. His eyes flicked over toward the coned off section of water. He took a half step forward, staring as the rocks shot up from the ground from the power. His hand shifted over to his Pokeballs in his bags, pressing against Nyota's ball. He could send her that way, to check on what was going on. But sending her alone seemed like a bad idea. After a moment, he pulled his hand away from the ball and shook his head. "What is going on down there..." He murmured quietly.

When the sudden cacophony settled, what remained was a column of ground standing straight out of the still rocking waters, an uneven platform standing on top. Those who had clearly seen the platform's ascent would have noticed a white object the size and shape of a pokemon egg.

As residual seawater spilled over the platform's edges back down into the ocean, the League officers watching awe-struck and anxious from the shore, Groudon lumbered over towards it. As it moved forward, its own bed of ground raised bit by bit above the water's surface so that it was able to view the top of the high platform when it had completed its approach. Groudon tilted its head slightly to get a better look at what was there, then stopped, turned, and lowered itself back to its original level. "," it grumbled, "

Jerking herself backwards and throwing her hands up to cover her ears against the sudden roar from Groudon.
Norther watched with wide eyes, frozen in place as Groudon made its way over to the pillar that it created, where a small glowing object could then be seen on it.

She felt Groudon grow confused, then settle into a deep disappointment as it turned back to them and spoke again.
For a while Jirachi could only hover in shock, forgetting her important job as she watched Groudon announced his departure.

Without the last bit of translation, and the understanding that Groudon was at least annoyed, the sudden roar and eruption of ground from the ocean took Rosie and Vahy'n by complete surprise.
Taking a step backwards, closer to her friends, unsure of what to do and how to react, only to remember that they were supposed to remain calm unless told otherwise.
Rosie held a gloved hand out to Vahy'n, not that either of them really felt like there was anything they could do anyway.

At a loss, her heart pounding hard against her chest, she could only watch as Groudon approached a strange glowing item on the pillar it had created, then spoke again.

And here we go! Here was when Groudon started stomping over everything and leveling out the city, great. And here they were, watching it.
Kyle wish he could say that he told them so- that the Legendary just always liked to stomp on the little guy. Not that he could really blame them once he thought about it, Kyle liked to stomp on the little guy too.

What Kyle did not expect, was for Groudon to remain as calm as it was, and return its attention back to the humans on the beach without any sign of attacking.
"Okay... So what was the point of that?" Kyle asked, squinting to try and see from the distance they were what exactly was going on.

"Uhhh well it looked at the item on the pillar... something on that pillar is glowing on that pillar...."
Ryan replied

Kyle looked over at him with a look of surprise blinking a few times before reaching a hand out "Let me see." He demanded, taking the binoculars from his partner when the other man handed them over.

"... What is that thing?" Kyle asked out loud, Ryan responding with only a shrug.

Groudon's sudden roar made Alder wince, both from its volume and from the pain it inflicted on his ears, but he refrained from moving to cover them. He also refrained from calling out any of his pokemon, and instead watched with bated breath as Groudon lumbered over to the platform it'd made...

...and then lumbered peacefully back to where it'd stood before. There was a distinct lack of city-destroying, for which he was incredibly grateful, but there was also a distinct lack of a translation from Northern, despite the Groudon speaking specifically to them again. "Northern," Alder said gently, quietly, to get her attention without startling her - or the Groudon. "What did it say?"

Northern blinked when the sound of her name brought her back to where she was and what she was supposed to be doing. Turning to look over at Alder wide eyed to see what he wanted, then blinked when he asked her what he said.

Oh right! she needed to be translating.
Swallowing hard she glanced from Groudon back over to Alder.
"It said that It was mistaken, that Arceus is not here, just a fragment of its power that Arceus abandoned here. Groudon's going to leave here to keep looking for Kyogre."
