➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy's eyes remained firmly shut until he pulled out the last note, giving it a very controlled waver before tapering it off. He sat there unmoving for just a moment, letting the sound hang in the air around him before he lowered his instrument and again opened his eyes.
He blinked stupidly for a moment, startled to find a girl standing directly in front of him. Just staring. The parasol she held cast a shadow over him that he hadn't noticed while he was playing. Jeremy lay his violin across his lap and stretched out his arms in front of him, looking up at the girl that had appeared. "Hello." He said casually, now that the initial surprise was fading.

Take my hand cause you and I are gonna shine ! ❧ Coraline watched as he finished off the last note, finally acknowledging her presence. "Hello, you play beautifully." she praised him with a smile on her face as she titled her head slightly to the side. She backed up a little now, giving him some space but allowing the sun to hit him once more as well. She remembered there was a servant in their house that would play violin for her, so the lovely music returned some wonderful memories to her.
"How long have you played?" she asked as she crossed her legs in front of her with a smirk on her face. Her whole appearance just screamed arrogance.

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy gave the girl a smile at her compliment, as she stepped back to put a bit of space between them again. He glanced up to the sky as he answered, trying to think as he ran his now free hand through his fluffy, dark hair. "Uhh... As long as I can remember, I suppose. My parents both play music as well, so I kind of just grew up with it." He said, shrugging at it like this was pretty normal. It was, in his own society. "I'm glad you liked it." He then added with another smile. The girl had an air that said she held herself very highly, but she didn't seem mean, or anything. It made him happy when people enjoyed his music. He really played for himself, but if others felt a connection to it, it made it that much more worthwhile.

Take my hand cause you and I are gonna shine ! ❧ Coraline's smirk turned into a grin as she chirped, "Lovely, when I was younger someone used to play violin for me. You brought back some nice memories." Coraline analyzed the boy from head to toe. He had disheveled dark hair and he dressed stylish but still casual. He was pretty handsome, she'd give him that. "Do you know 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow'? I'll sing the lyrics if you play the music." she suggested with her confident smirk reappearing. Coraline wasn't too shabby at singing, her mother loved it when she sang to her.

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ "I play here pretty often. You're welcome to stop by and listen whenever you'd like." Jeremy told her, after she said that. He didn't mind having an audience when he practiced. He watched as the girl smirked confidently again, offering to sing with him. He thought for a moment, going through the archives in his head for the music. He had quite a number of things memorized, and some he even made up on his own. Of course, he had the sheet music somewhere in his luggage, but he rarely used it nowadays unless he was learning a new piece. He quickly skipped through much of the traditional style of music for different creatures, jumping to his "human" section. He knew quite a few, considering he found Human culture very interesting.
After what was really only a good minute, Jeremy looked back at her and nodded, shifting away from his mental library of sheet music. He smiled and said, "Yeah, I know that one. Ready?" He lifted his instrument to his chin again, plucking a few of the strings to make sure he didn't have to adjust anymore for the new key. Then he launched into an opening bit, leading into where she would begin to sing, his eyes once again clenched shut with brows furrowed. It was his concentration face, and enabled him to focus solely on the sounds coming from his violin, and in this case the girl's voice.

Take my hand cause you and I are gonna shine ! ❧ Coraline nodded at his offer, that was nice of him. "I think I'll take you up on that." she chirped happily with a sweet smile on her face. She loved watching people do things they love.
When he asked her if she was ready, she nodded gently, clearing her throat. Once he began the song, she waited for the note that would cue her to start singing. Hearing him hit the note, Coraline opened her mouth, closed her eyes and began to sweetly sing the lullaby. "Somewhere over the rainbow~ Way up high~" the witch sang beautifully, one hand holding her parasol to shield her from the sun and the other on her chest. Both the musician and the singer were in perfect sync not only with the song but with each other as well.
As the song came to an end and he finished up the last note, Coraline opened her eyes once more, that confident smirk back again. She titled her head to side as she looked down at him and asked, "How was that?"

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy couldn't remember the last time he had performed a piece with any kind of accompaniment. It was a nice feeling. It made the music sound fuller. He grinned at the girl as they came to a stop, her confident smirk was back on her face. "That was fun." He said, cheerfully, resting his instrument back in his lap. "You have a beautiful voice. So, what's your name, anyways?" He asked. He couldn't remember seeing her before, but there were a lot of people at this school. It was entirely possible that he had simply never bumped into her. He was sure he would have remembered her appearance, and the way that she carried herself if he had.

"Coraline Neopolitan," she cooed as she stood straight once more before continuing, "at your service." the girl crossed her legs in front of her as she smirked and her hip cocked out to the side a bit. "And, you are?" she asked curiously. She's never seen him before, at least, that's what she thought. She could have and just forgotten about him, his appearance was quite plain and well...boring. But she would have remembered the person making such sweet music, so this was probably their first meeting. Surprisingly a non awkward one as well. Not many people take kindly to a stranger approaching them and standing over them creepily.

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy grinned. "That's cute." He said, referring to her name. He immediately thought of the ice cream. "I'm Jeremy. Jeremy Andrew Hudson." He introduced, using his full name. He hardly ever shortened it. His people were generally very proper when speaking, and he had never quite been able to shake that habit for certain things, such as introducing himself. Jeremy was definitely less proper than the rest of his family, from being in a high school setting so long, but sometimes he still let it show. "What year are you?" He asked curiously.

Coraline chirped as she took the seat next to him, her parasol now shading the both of them. She hardly ever closed it when she was outside, even using it when it was dark. It was special to her, passed down from generations of Neopolitan witches. "Junior. And you are, I'm guessing, a senior?" she asked with a smirk, positive that her guess was correct. She was mainly just going off of the fact that he looked a bit older than her, but then again maybe he just developed faster than his fellow peers.

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy dipped his fingertips into the fountain, feeling the cool water as Coraline sat beside him. He nodded. "Yep, I'm a veteran to this place. I suppose next year I'll be set off into the world." He said, sounding curious rather than disgusted. He was interested in applying his skills to the Human world. He kept his hand just in the edge of the water, as though it were a comfort to him with the end being so near. He was nervous, of course, despite his curiosity and love of the Human culture.

"I'll miss your sweet music when you leave." she teased with that smirk on her face. When she got out of here she didn't know what she would do. Humans were definitely interesting and witches were the closet thing to a human besides the magic. But she loved putting her magic on display when she could, it just made life so much easier as well. "I don't know what I'm going to do when I graduate. I don't think I'd be able to do any influencing in the human world." she was kind of rambling aloud now.

➽ Ɉeremy Ѧndrew Ҥudson ➳ Jeremy couldn't help but smile that he had made such a big impression already. Then Coraline continued to talk about her uncertainty for the future. He nodded in agreement. "Yeah. I don't really know what I'll do yet either, but I think it'll be fascinating to be living among them. I suppose it'll also be kind of scary, though, too. I wonder if anyone has slipped up too badly after going through school..." He thought aloud, joining Coraline's rambling himself. He continued to play with the water in the fountain absentmindedly as he spoke. He didn't think he could play music for a career in the Human world. After all, a Nix played enchanted music. Most of the beings here at the school weren't affected by it, but Jeremy didn't particularly care to find out how the humans would react. It would be like a Siren's song to them, putting them in a trance. Well, whatever he decided to do, it would have to put him near a water source. That much he was sure of.

But she had a whole other year to figure that out, so she didn't have to think too hard about it at the moment. "What are you, by the way? If you don't mind my asking. I'm a witch." she chirped arrogantly with a smirk on her face. Despite her over confidence in her skills, she didn't exactly do destructive magic. It was either simple magic like to carry heavy things around or defensive spells like hardening her parasol to make into a shield. She was far off from being any kind of powerful witch. She was more like a literal magician.
