Wulfy looked at the others with a confused look and then it turned into a not so caring one. "I've never heard of such a tree, it's not like it matters much anyways in our current state. Now listen here, if I am an insolent pup, then what are you all high and mighty. You are acting as though we know what the hell is going on. Now you can either actually explain it all, or you can show us where to go." Even if the tree was mighty or revered as sacred, it didn't give it the right to act like an a** as the humans would put it.

"It doesn't surprise me that one who roams the land such as you and your ilk, would not know me. And who I am could matter greatly in your current affairs," the great tree berated sadly.
"Be careful predator. The great Tide Oak can also turn souls astray to wander the great darkness, or worse," Churro advised the wolf. She knew he was right, that if anyone, the great Tide Oak would be able to answer their questions and maybe help to steer them on this journey. However, bullying it would not do to serve their cause.
"I am an oak, wolfling. Tall and mighty are my nature," it countered with a chuckle that puffed out a small plume of dead leaves. Upon hearing the request, the old tree laughed, its roots shifting and its bows swaying.
"No, why don't you explain it. You all know better than I, what brought you here. Each death has a story. Look to each other and maybe you'll find out why the light eludes you."
