Yui closely watched the screen, fear crossing her face as the game master appeared before all the players that had been forced into the area. Trap them in the game?! No... no that's... that's not... Yui thought to herself changing her gaze between the screens as if thinking she would see something different. "Cardinal!!! Cardinal!!!" Yui yelled out hoping to grab the attention of the system.
Looking at the screen she could only watch as players started to panic or start crying. She wanted to reach out to them so badly that it hurt. Her sole purpose was to help players that felt this way, yet Cardinal had forbidden her to. A tear forming in her eye, Yui yelled out again "Cardinal! Why, why are you doing this?" she yelled. This is the game. Do not interact with the players Cardinal's voice sounded through the darkness.
"But they need me! They're mental health will kill them!!" Yui called out still looking around at the screens, seeing people breaking down a couple even passing out. Do not interact with the players Cardinal spoke again in it's usual monotonic voice.
Yui rubbed her eyes, it was obvious that Cardinal wasn't going to let her form in the world, at least not right now. For now she would be stuck watching as the players rushed in panic across her screens. Everyone was yelling at the game master, though he didn't seem to even hear them. Soon the game master disappeared, leaving the players in a lost state of terror. Why would they do this? Even if the GM requested it, Cardinal should have stopped it... why... Yui thought to herself, giving up on trying to get answers from Cardinal at the moment.

╔══════════════════════╗ ~Akira Spade~ ╚══════════════════════╝ ((OOC; Never made it so far into the anime, so idk all the characters but thankfully we start at the beginning with a new story!))
The door closed, the blinds shut and the fan on, Akira placed the helmet over his head. "Let's do this!" he said as the helmet began the interface. As it went through the process, the login cleared and he appeared in the square. Clenching his fist and checking the movement, he was satisfied. "Sword Art, here I come!" he shouted as more people spawned in around him, before running out of the square for quests
-timeskip to the current time-
"No flippin way. No way, no!" Akira mumbled.He checked the mirror and sure enough, his face was reflecting in it. This situation was insane. Dying for real if he does? He didn't last an hour in the beta before he died! Everyone else around him was in the same panic. Akira pulled up the menu, looking for the logout, only to see it was missing. He tried selecting the slot to see if it was just invisible, but nothing happened. The reality was there, he wouldn't be leaving the game. At least not until game was completed.
Name: Akira Spade Age: 19 Bio: Akira was a beta tester for SAO, and always died and respawned because he hunted the higher level monsters of each floor, not paying much attention to leveling. During the beta he formed his own guild aimed for high-risk style players, but no one joined so he got used to soloing areas by himself. Asuna looked up into the sky as it pixeled and each pixel said warning.She watched as red ooze that looked like blood dripped from the sky."Whats going on?" she said as she watched a figure form in the middle of the arena. The figure was shrouded in red.She listened to the deep voice as it spoke, telling all the players they were stuck until they reached and defeated the boss on level 100."What the hell? how-how can he do this." she cried out as she looked at her menu and tried to find the log out option. She started to cry as she looked back up at the figure above.The voice spoke of a gift in there inventory. She quickly looked and saw a mirror. "Why would he give us this?" she asked herself as she pressed on the idem.A mirror materialized in her hand. she brought it to her face and looked at it confused,all she saw was her avatar, but suddenly she was covered in a white light as were the other players. As soon as the light faded away, she looked back at the mirror and saw a few changes. Asuna didn't make her avatar to different from what she looked like in real life, but now she looked exactly like herself. Shape, height , and everything. Asuna gasped as she put away her mirror."This can't be real. He can't do this!" she screamed as she fell to her knees and cried. She listened as the figure finished and then vanshed. She stayed on the grounded and sobbed as the other panicked around her.

Silica looked around at all the worry on others faces. ""This is just probably where we get our first quest."" She thought to herself. She looked up at the sky as it pixeled warning. She saw the figure appear in the middle of the arena. "What the hell?" she said in awe. She watched the figure wide eyed and never took her eyes away. It was like she was in a trance as he spoke.As soon as the voice spoke of a gift, She pulled her eyes away and pulled out her menu. She looked into her inventory and looked at the idem called a mirror. She pressed it and a mirror materialize into her hand. she looked into the mirror and watched as she was srounded in a wight light. When the light faded away, she saw that her avatar was gone and it was just her. She started to cry as she put the mirror away. "This can't be real." she said as she looked back up at the figure as he fished. When the figure diapered, Silica screamed as she fell back into the players behind her."No! I'll die in here." she screamed as she put her head into her hands and sobbed.

Another game to beat, hopefully it'll be a challenge. She created her character to be the same as her real self with the exception of fiery red hair. Spawning within the arena, it seemed some sort of announcement was about to begin. She merely stood with her arms crossed impatiently, unimpressed when the red blob morphed into a human being towering over them. His words caught her attention, her ears perking up slightly as she listened intently. We're...stuck? She checked her menu and confirmed it with the missing log out button. Really...she stood speechless as people shouted around her at the creator. Rage bubbled in her chest as she clenched her fists, a gift? Tsk. People like him I really hate. She retrieved the mirror from her menu and gazed into her own eyes, watching as her red hair became it's usual jet black. This shocked her momentarily until she glared, tossing the mirror on the ground and shattering it with the heel of her shoe. When the creator vanished, all hell went loose. People raved about the unfair situation, others cried and screamed. Yumiko placed a hand over her face, standing still as she heard a sharp ringing in her ears blocking out the chaos. Abruptly, she released a small chuckle that slowly became a laugh that continued to escalate, growing louder and more wicked by the second. She open her fingers, revealing her widely-open eyes so she could see the weak states of all others. Thinking she could do it all on her own, Yumi grinned. He could almost instantaneously notice how young she was, which made him feel a heavy amount of pity for her. Hearing her words, watching her cover her face and sob, Kirito had to do something. He felt really bad for her, knowing there wasn't much he could say or do to help, but he had to at least try. He placed a hand on the girl's shoulder and spoke in a tranquil tone despite how frazzled he was inside, "Hey, don't talk like that. There are plenty of people here. If we all work together, I'm sure we can beat the game and all go back home." Suddenly, he glanced over as he heard someone oddly laughing at such a time. He found the source, a black-haired girl who he assumed thought it was all a cruel joke. She looks familiar...have I seen her somewhere? He shook his head and turned back to the young girl before him, giving her a comforting smile throughout all the chaos, "I'm Kirito and as long as I'm here, I won't let you die. Michael looked down at his clutched fist as he thought about what the game creator just said. He wanted to just wake up from this nightmare and be done with it. He wanted to be able to go home and everything would be normal again. But then he heard people screaming and crying. He was brought back to reality as he heard those cries. He then noticed someone just ahead of him sitting on the ground crying. "Damn it! Everyone is too scared to even try now.." He said softly to himself then looked down at his shaking hands which he then clutched into fist. 'I refuse, I refuse to take this lying down' He thought then started moving through the small bit of crowd in front of him and got to the orangeish haired girl crying on the ground. He put a hand on her shoulder and crouched down next to her. "Hey listen to me for a sec. You gotta stand up and be strong. I know you must hate this right now, just as much as the rest of us, but sitting here crying is not gonna get us back home" He told the girl trying to keep his voice calm as he wondered if she would listen to him. But even if she didn't he want to make her feel a bit better so he tried giving her the most genuine smile he could muster.

Klein shook for a moment where he stood. "I can't believe this.. I have to find everyone" He told himself as he started to run through the crowd trying to find any of his friends hoping they hadn't died already. He wished he could just ignore everyone else's cries as he ran but unfortunately he could not he was stuck listening to them and feeling sorry for everyone as he searched the crowd.

Yui pulled her knees to her chest, the screens moving slowly around her. She could hear the cries of the 213 people who had already died from the game. People were crying, yelling, a few even laughing, their brains already snapping from the reality of it. Cardinal, why would you let this pass? Your systems should have blocked something like this from happening. Yui thought to herself glancing from screen to screen, praying to find an answer that she knew she wouldn't be able to find through the screen.
Already, fights started breaking out between some people, though thankfully since they were in a town it only caused a knock back effect instead of killing. This was bad, the way things were going, many players might end up dying as soon as they leave into the environment.
The second town isn't very far, so with any luck most people will be able to avoid getting killed as they make their way there... if they make their way there.

Akira looked around as more people began to panic over the situation. It wasn't looking good as some even became violent towards others. Already a fight broke out between two people next to him, but the town mechanic prevented a death so they were only knocked around. Akira backed his way through the crowd as people wept, screamed and shouted in realization of their situation. Akira had to keep a calm mind or he would also fall prey to the panic settling in, which wouldn't help out anyone. The only real thing he could do was get away before people started challenging others in PVP outside the town. Thankfully he was near the edge of the courtyard, so he was able to move through the crowds and sprint through an alleyway. He looked back at the scene of players, all in new gear, all in a new game, and all with the reality of death. "This is going to be- No, it already is a living hell." he muttered to himself, correcting in mid sentence as the players were already falling to the mindset of a mob. A rather paranoid and scared mob at that. As a beta, he knew the ropes of the game, but most of these people didn't.
Silica looked up from her hands at the voice who spoke to her.She listened to the sweet reassuring words the boy spoke. Silica smiled and whipped her tears away."I'm Silica." she said with a wide smiled. Slilica looked around at everyone else to see how they reacted. Most cried while others fought and one laughed. Silica shook her head and looked back at the boy. "That's if everyone dose not go insane." Silica said with a frown. "You are really nice by the way." she said as she stood up. Although she stood, She still had to look up at the boy. She put her hands on her hips and gave him a toothy smile."We can do this." she said as she rocked back and forth on her feet.

As Asuna cried, She thought about her brother and her parents. She may never see them again. She cried harder as she went farther into thought. Asuna heard a deep male voice coming close. she looked up at the boy as he spoke to her. He was right, She couldn't just sit there and cry. she had to try to get back. Asuna stood up and smiled at the boy.her smile then turned to a frown as the sadness came back in.It was so overwhelming. "Sorry." she cried as she ran Torres the town.When she got to town, she looked around for the safest darkest place. she ran to it and hid herself away from everything. There she found a hood, she slipped it on and cuddled into it as she sat on the ground. she sobbed as she rocked back and forth.

Michael smiled a little as she stood up but immediately sighed as she ran off. "Hey wait up!" He yelled and chased after her feeling worried. He stopped and took a breath as she ducked into an alley. "H-hey!" He said as he started to follow her into it the alley until he saw her in a hood she must have found. He walked closer to the girl. "Um..." He started not really sure what to say but wanting to make sure she wouldn't be alone.

When Silica called him nice, Kirito scratched the back of his head and replied funnily, "Nah, I just don't like seeing people down and we can't have people giving up so early on, that's all. Call me a motivator or encourager of sorts I guess." Was that a trait of nice people? He wasn't quite sure, all he knew was being called nice didn't match what everyone else always said about him, which just so happened to be the exact opposite since he was "too honest". It felt...good to hear such a word describing him. He observed the crowd again and in a split instance, he caught the glimpse of orange hair flowing past his sight. That looked like...he shook his head though if it was who he thought it was, he'd surely hope they'd stay safe. He turned his attention back to Silica and grabbed her hand to lead her out of the arena, "C'mon, we should get going to the second town before anyone else. Just trust me." His participation in beta testing made him more aware of the game and the tactics that should be utilized so in a situation like this, he luckily had the upper hand. Asuna started to sob harder as she felt herself being overwhelmed. She herd foot steps coming towards her. She looked up at the boy she had seen earlier as tears streamed down her face. She stood up and became angry. "Just leave me alone, Okay." She screamed as she pushed past him and ran threw the middle of the town. Asuna cried as she ran, trying to get as far away as possible. She finally came across a Inn. She had just enough to rent a room for a few nights. She made her way threw the door and up to the counter."Room please." she said to the in NPC. The NPC handed her the keys and Asuna handed the NPC the money. Asuna made her way up the dark stairs too the room number on the key. She opened the door and walked into the dark room, Closing and locking the door behind her. She saw a beaten up bed on the farthest side of the room. She made her way to the bed taking her shoes off. She laid on the bed and curled up sobbing. She just wanted to be left alone with no one around.
