Ghost and Ghoul Studies was an interesting class, and their discussions of the afterlife hit a little closer to home than Faina cared to admit, given how close she'd come to dying last year. Unfortunately, if she'd had some sort of experience in that regard, she had no memory of it now, in the same way one might have no memory of a specific dream.
"Guten Morgen, Professor Eckstein, wie war Ihr Sommer? Hast du etwas Interessantes gemacht?" she asked, as she arrived for class. Faina noticed she was one of the first to show up for the Tuesday morning class, and wondered how many others chose to stick with it to the end. As they tucked into their first review, Faina raised her hand, and offered, "We discussed how ghosts are created. And, yes, I have a question, though it is slightly off-topic. What sort of exam are we to expect for the NEWTs, Professor? Is it written, entirely practical, or some combination, thereof?"
