"Hold on Kay, I have some for you too." she was about to hand her one, Soko had accidently grab her hand. She didn't see his reaction but she blushed so bad once her hand was free, she gave one to Kay, then turned away from him, trying not to be so obvious about it. She had to calm down but her cheeks were burning up
"Y-Your welcome. Any t-t-time." she managed to sputter out. She very well couldn't tell him how she felt, she was scared of losing what they had. For now, she was going to keep quiet

Cale rolled his eyes as the pure couple in the back. Unlike Soko, Cale was able to suspect their attachments to eachother, even if neither of the two would admit to it. Not that he even wanted to poke into their fun. "Ladies and gentlemen, this is your driver speaking. Please keep all of your flirting in the back of the truck. Thank you." Cale exclaimed. Personally he didn't have the emotional side these three had, the only reason he stayed was because Soko was his best match, and he got good contracts through him.

Rolling her eyes as Soko chastised her for being so reckless, she happily accepted the chocolate from Kaiya. Kaylee would have dropped a snarky retort, but any words she had died when she saw Soko grab Kaiya’s hand. She watched the two awkwardly flirt with each other, and had to stifle her laughter when Cale pointed it out. She could see the feelings plain as day between the two, but she seriously hoped that Soko would actually be able to see it this time and make a move. She found Kaiya even more endearing when she was embarrassed, and she hoped that if she needed anything, the younger girl would ask. Then again, she might need a lot of help, knowing how oblivious to these kinds of things he is. She thought to herself, savoring the chocolate as it melted in her mouth.

Once they arrived back at the hideout, Kaia quickly leapt off the truck to help put away the supplies they had obtained. The rest of the way back was quiet and awkward. She went to see what they had scored, "I do hope there is some decent herbs this time. I'm sort of sick of garlic and thyme to season everything." she picked up a box and carried it inside

Mission-002: Commence!

Now it gets personal

Soko helped unload what little cargo had survived the fiasco they had just returned from. before heading over to the command center, a slightly less beat up tent than the surrounding ones, as he walked along weaving between the tents and small fires ,weary men women and children huddled around them for warmth, stopping at every open tent, crowded fire and resting soldier, asking if they needed any extra food, medical supplies, blankets, and such, every time he was turned away with a poorly stated lie.
reaching the command tent he found himself instructed to return in the morning so without a word he hurried back to his small makeshift shelter digging out a few bottles of various liquors,and a six pack of beer -with only five cans, continued back to the truck hoping that the others hadn't finished inventory

Cale was able to drive the truck the rest of the way to their current base of operations without any concern for stamina. As the truck came to a grinding halt, he kicked out the door and jumped out, stretching his limbs and breathing a sigh of relief. "Now that that's over, let's pull out the fruits of our labor!" he said, joining Kaia in removing the boxes.

Once the truck rolled to a stop, Kaylee jumped out and helped unload. ”It's not so bad. At least it helps keep away mosquitoes.” she joked, pulling another box from the back. There was only a handful of boxes, which made her frown. They needed more supplies, and with the amount they had been able to salvage from this group meant that they would have to do another raid soon. Kaylee didn't fancy having to face another demon so soon, but she brushed off the gloomy thoughts. The people here needed hope, not doom and gloom. Looking up, she noticed Soko on his way back with the alcohol. She grinned, mostly cause she noted he had grabbed some of the better stuff he had in stock. ”I didn't think you'd break out the booze so soon.” Kaylee remarked, setting down her box.

Kaiya felt awkward around the others as they drank. Her? Never had a sip in her life and was keeping it that way. She got out another box that, upon inspection, had fruit in it, "We got lucky with this stuff. I'm sure they will take this." she carried it from tent to tent, giving the stuff away, not taking no for an answer. She kept a smile on her face no matter what was said, trying to encourage them all. Once that was done she walked up to the rest of them, "Well they took most of it but there are some apples left. One for each of us." she passed them out, but she nearly dropped it when giving it to Soko

Soko had just cracked his first beer, and Kaiya was handing him an apple which they both nearly dropped, deafening,not just in terms of volume but,, in what it meant, the first of the fighter panes with their jet engines above, after burners kicking in as the swept by with a hail of high caliber gunfire, Soko sat their for a minute almost dazed, the scene playing in seemingly slow motion, his face a mix of despair and horror Quickly Turning to calm rage. without a word he stood up, and raised his hand mana visible in the arr around him as he slowly brought his hand down , the sound of metal contorting and bending, braakng and,glass shattering as the fighter jets slamming to the ground before they could even turn for a second strafe, giving way to the sound of mortar shells impacting and infantry transports closing in

”Thanks Kai.” Kaylee nodded to the younger girl, grateful that for once they had fresh fruit. She missed fruit in general, since it was so hard to come by. She had to stifle a giggle as she watched Kaiya and Soko practically drop and apple. They were cute, but she seriously hoped they could get together already; these awkward exchanges were starting to be almost painful to watch.

Kaylee hadn't been able to even get her first sip of alcohol before the planes came in. She heard them before she saw them, and saw them before it clicked what was truly going on. Horrified, she watched Soko bring down the planes before leaping into action. Slamming her hand into the ground, a ten foot wall of earth encircled the half of the encampment that the enemies were coming from. A small groan escaped her as she felt the surge of magic leave her, cause her to drop to one knee. A wave of exhaustion hit her, but she needed to stay strong for now. Everyone needed her to protect them. ”RUN!” She screamed to the refugees, urging them to get to safety. Taking a deep breath, she got back to her feet, ready for whatever was coming next.

Kaiya nearly lost it as she heard and saw the planes. As one of the was shot down, by Soko and Kay defended half of the encampment, it was her job to protect the rest. She quickly took hold of her staff and waved it around the four of them, "Growth. Hasten." she called out. Their attack, defense and speed have been increased for a duration of 5 minutes. She took off and cast a wall of super strong, thick ice that surrounded the rest of the place. She used wind magic to fly herself to the top, placing one foot on the ice and one on the earth.

Soko looked at Cale anger flashing in his eyes, pure rage sparking like fire in his soul, this was a camp of nothing but civilians and injured soldiers, and they attack in full force"Cale shoot to kill, take out any hostile within ten meters of the perimeter, and provide cover for kaiya, keylee and any fleeing,after evacuations have been completed, we have some answers to retrieve they have a commanding officer, a strong one at that he managed to nullify my gravity magic from a distance and protect four of the five jets, show no mercy. walking up behind kaylee,he put his hand on her shoulder, His demeanor changing drastically, the anger was gone replaced with concern" don't overdue it we can't have you burning out your mana and sapping your life away, but you did good, take five then, regroup with us if possible.he smiled at her briefly as before continuing on a trickle of blood coming from his left eye, and nostril, as he jumped up next to Kaiya"They made this battle personal, and they will not leave here without answering for that, i trust you to keep us safe as you always have, you have looked over this band of misfits, and give me the courage to charge headlong into hell without worry, thank you.with that he stepped off and dropped down to the ground in the direct path of the oncoming enemies scythe drawn and poised to strike....
