"No, 's true." Tambrey insisted and though she listened to what he said next, it wasn't much beyond what the pair of them had already speculated about and thus she only had a simple reply. Agreement.

"Soon enough."

She accepted Aulus' help in dismounting.

The pokémon began to congregate on the beach around them, and one by one they were all swallowed by the red light except for Jubilee and Pygi.

Seen as there didn't seem to be a whole lot more to say for now Aulus removed Asgard's harness, shoved it back into his backpack, recalled all his pokemon save for Red and clambered up onto the Pidgeot's back. "Let's get back to base then," he patted Red's shoulderish region before getting a good grip of her feathers; "Make it quick Red, I know you can."

The Pidgeot gave a triumphant cry and launched herself into the air. <> For reasons she didn't understand but that was fine, it wasn't her job to understand.

"Sooner we're back..." Tambrey agreed, trailing her sentence off, and climbed up, gently, onto Pygi, patting the bird's neck. "Jubilee. Back in the ball for now, okay?"
One more flash of red calls the Joltik back.

A race?! What /happened/? They were just.. going back to base.
Oh well.
A race was fun, at least, and good exercise for her wings.

<> Pygi called as Tambrey clung to her as the bird launched herself into the air to race Red back 'home'.

And so Red raced, pushing herself to her limit and executing the odd barrel roll too despite the curses this extracted from her trainer who was clinging - very firmly - to her back.

"I really have to let you out more!" Aulus exclaimed as they touched down near the entrance to HQ. After a quick check of their surroundings - nobody nearby - he sent a ping to the door security staff to let them know they were approaching and then headed towards the hidden entrance.

Red roused her feathers and then preened a bit, really very pleased with the time they'd made and not at all bothered by Aulus' words; she'd be happy to get out more often in fact!

As Aulus and Tambrey approached the base's entrance, they would each receive another message to their dexes: Report to main office meeting room 7.
PostPosted: Sat Nov 21, 2015 5:24 pm
Good timing made, even if Red did beat them!
Pygi couldn't say she really minded losing to the other bird; racing was fun whether she lost or not, and she usually lost against Lasi. She'd lost by /less/ against one of her own species.

And a /field agent's pokémon/! To gain even a little on Red, a few less seconds behind, was good.

After reaching, entering, and landing in the base, Tambrey could finally check her 'dex.
Dismounting, and calling Pygi back, she looked toward Aulus, and pointed at her device with a question on her features.
"Did you get, uh..?"

Aulus held his arm up to Tam to show her the message; "Uh-hu. Let's go then, I guess we're about to find out... well, something anyway."

Breathe in, breathe out, return Red, and head inside.

Pausing only to check that Tam was beside him Aulus headed towards the main office, paused outside meeting room seven, and then knocked smartly with his metallic knuckles.

He hoped they weren't in some kind of trouble, he really hoped they weren't.

"Please enter," a female voice replied to the knocks.

The meeting room was one of the smaller ones, containing a rectangular tabled arranged with five chairs, a small screen for use with the projector attached to the ceiling, and a wall-mounted white board. Seated in the chair placed at the head of the table was a woman with short cropped auburn hair and crisp white woman - Aulus and Tambrey might have recognized her as Executive Agent Clover, who had met with them following the investigation of the grounded Galactic airship.

Well.
Then enter they would. And did.

Tambrey spent a moment having a glance around the room and then settling on the Executive at the head of the table.

The scientist's eyes were a little wide; they'd hurried back because they were recalled and they'd been called into an office with an executive in it.
This was interesting and really rather nerve wracking. Though at least they weren't having missiles launched at them.

Tambrey saluted.
"Um. Executive." She greeted, standing sort of 'at attention' for the moment.

Aulus' sharp gaze swept the room quickly as he stepped inside; when he spotted the executive his posture tensed slightly and he shifted a little towards his partner before he caught himself and stood at attention instead. "Executive," he said, echoing Tambery and resisting the urge to glance at her both for reassurance and to check that she was alright. No, eyes ahead until Clover gave them the order to... well, do whatever she was going to tell them to do.

Whatever this was it was important enough to bring in an executive and Clover at that, head of mission assignments right? So had they stumbled across an operation they shouldn't have?

"Agent Tambrey, Agent Aulus," Clover greeted in kind. "You may remember me, but my name is Clover; I'm the director of mission distribution. You may sit if you'd like." She gestured to the chairs around the table. Her tone wasn't unkind, but nor was it too personable. "Our team picked up your Rocket pokedex signals in a sector of the ocean that's currently being monitored. Since neither of you are members of that team, I thought it prudent to ask what your intentions were in the area."

Tambrey nodded as Clover introduced herself; she remembered, but didn't comment as to that fact, instead remaining silent as she took to a chair when Clover indicated, until the Executive asked a question.

Ah.

"So it is being monitored. We, um, we stumbled across it. Dead, uh, Sharpedo. I um, made a report on it."

"Yes Executive Clover," Aulus replied, nodding acknowledgement; he remembered, he remembered being pretty surprised than an executive cared about their thoughts. She'd seemed very reasonable at the time, least she had once he'd got past his initial hostility which he acknowledged now had everything to do with his state of mind at the time and nothing at all to do with her. He sat and tried to compose his thoughts, she was here to listen or she wouldn't have started like she had.... Right?

"And then we didn't hear anything substantial in response," Aulus continued from Tambery, he didn't see any point in beating about the bush so he kept his words to the point, his tone frank but not disrespectful. "Even after we reported returning to the area and Asgard - my Lugia - being attacked by multiple hostiles and having missiles shot at him all in the midst of a strange bank of fog. So we... Well, we were bloody curious to say the least," Aulus glanced at Tam for a moment before looking back at Clover and continuing; "To answer your question directly our intent today was to plot the extent of the fog bank, possibly make a foray inside if it seemed prudent, and report back on our findings again. We were starting to have a suspicion that the women from Paladin Island might be involved, it's only speculation but.... Well, unexplained bank of fog that can shoot missiles plus advanced legendary clones that are not our own? We had to wonder if they might have some kind of base in there, and if not them then who?"

PostPosted: Sat Nov 21, 2015 6:47 pm
"Of course," Clover replied. "We received the reports and have been looking into the matter appropriately. Curiosity is certainly understandable, but when your 'dex signals were detected and identified, there was an immediate concern among the operatives involved in the investigation that you distrust the organization's ability to decide the best way to proceed and obtain results." She made a light gesture with her hand, "Normally I would say that a glance at your track records should be enough to dispel any suspicion, but given recent developments..."

Tambrey nodded to confirm, and agree, with Aulus' words.

"The Sharpedo," she elaborated "was concerning. It is, um, almost impossible, given what we're able to do, that a cause of death would be entirely unidentifiable. This was, uh, before recent developments and as Agents, we, um, felt we were able to take on an investigation of our own. Had we, uh, been advised to back back off- we have made no secret from ranking officers regarding our intentions- we would have. Communication regarding the subject has been very very, uh, limited, however." The scientist nodded though. "We, uh, remain loyal, but the concern is understandable in the light of recent developments."
