[PRP] Staring Out

Grealhorn, who seemed to only have one expression stared at the steel type with an aged sternness, allowing him to float over and offering no retort to the Pokemon's comment.
He did however move when the other Pokemon attacked. though to bow his head down and take the attack right into his antlers, practically catching the Beldum.

"Okay, that looked like it was a take down." Rosie noted cheerfully  

[Sao Kasai]

"Oh--Wheatley...Um..." Izumi took a nervous step towards her pokemon as he was caught in the other's horns. "B-be careful..."

The Beldum beeped triumphantly and floated back over towards its trainer.

"D-do you have any other moves?" The beldum shook its body in a negative. Take down was it. "O-okay... Good job, Wheatley..."

The next one up was the Aron, Dalek. The tiny pokemon stepped forward towards the Sawsbuck and lowered itself against the ground, bracing itself, as its body became much shinier. Harden, and it looked like there was some sort of shimmering barrier in front of the pokemon as well, most likely the move protect. Apparently Dalek was high on the defense.

Grealhorn lifted his head back up into his high position when Wheatley floated back to his trainer.
The next Pokemon didn't psychically attack him, so he simply remained where he was, staring down at the much smaller Pokemon.

"that is a very useful move." Rosie explained "Sometimes Pokemon have moves that don't do damage, its a good idea to have some of those to help with strategy and giving your team a little extra boost in battles."  

[Sao Kasai]

"Oh--Okay..." Izumi looked intently at her pokemon to see what exactly it was doing. "W-what is that move called?"

"that looked like the move protect. " Rosie explained, turning to look over at the large Pidgeot standing with her.

Perdy got the intention she was hoping for and with a more gleeful attitude than Grealhorn he called out, opening his wings and with a slight shock of brilliance was suddenly showered in a glimmering barrier that didn't seem like it was even really there.

"It looks like the same move, but sometimes the pokemon have different ways of using each move. It might have the same affect but can sometimes have different ways of preforming the move depending on certain traits or training methods."

Rosie pointed to the Aaron "Grealhorn, use Mega Horn, please."
Knowing that the attack wouldn't have an affect on the Aaron Greal horn tossed his head, his antlers suddenly gleaming and becoming more pointed as he ducked his head and charged powerfully for the Aaron.

"Its a great move, but its only really useful for the first couple of time you use it, after that the chances of it failing go up pretty high, and if your opponent is persistent it won't do you much good for long, so its always good to have a strategy when using moves like that."  

[Sao Kasai]

The little Aron's barrior held up against Graelhorn's attack, shattering after the impact. The pokemon lowered its head and charged right back at the grass type with an Iron Head attack.

"O-okay... Protect for quick defense, not long term..." She made a note. "Woah! D-Dalek!" Izumi seemed surprised that her pokemon had retaliated with an attack.

"Its okay." Rosie reassured the girl when the Aron threw another attack at Grealhorn. the Stag, though not expecting the attack, seemed unfazed by it, as the heavy steel type threw his attack into his tall legs.
"This is the whole point, to see what your pokemon know." Rosie tilted her head "It looked like an Iron Head attack to me. I've seen something like that used before."  

[Sao Kasai]

"Iron... Head... O-okay." Izumi looked at her tiny pokemon, who seemed somewhat perturbed that his attack had no real effect. "D-do you know anything else, Dalek?" The pokemon nodded slightly. A low rumbling sound emitted from the pokemon, slowly growing in intensity, as if charging up his attack ala one of those magic-fighting-cartoons.

"Aaarooon!" The little steel type shouted as slabs of stone shot up around the Graelhorn and began closing in. Dalek had an impressive Rock Tomb attack, despite his size and lack of training.

"He has some natural talent." Rosie noted, not missing the size of the attack the Pokemon had formed. for having no training, this was good sign.
Rose winced slightly, wishing that Greal wouldn't be so blatant about how ineffective the attacks were to him.
the Sawsbuck wasn't one to be gentle or easy, he was an stern as his features suggested, and a** efficient in battle without sugar coating anything.
The rocks bounced off of him without even a visible affect on the Sawsbuck though he stood ready for the next attack.

"Hey Greal," Rosie said with an awkward smile. "Lets switch you out." she suggested.
The Sawsbuck shook his antlers, knocking a few more of the rocks free and without protest turned to head back toward his team.
Rosie looked to her side where Pastin stood. the toned Rapidash with billowing brown manes shifted to meet her gaze
"Your up Pastin."

With much more enthusiasm the Rapidash bucked his head, tripping forward and past the grass type stag as he approached the battle area.
"Rock Tomb" Rosie called over to Izumi "Aaron's looks really good, keep building on that one for sure~"  

[Sao Kasai]

"Ah..." Izumi shrank back from the battle field. "T-th-that's a... F-fire type..." She squeaked out as she quickly withdrew the Aron back into its pokeball and did not send out any others. The fear was plastered plainly on the girl's face.

Both at once Rosie and Pastin's expression became that of surprise, Pastin stopped advancing and for a couple of seconds the two stared at Izumi's very evident fear.

"Do you have a fear of Fire types?" Rosie asked, Pastin already starting to move back since it was obvious his presence was not appreciated.

After a series of stammers and squeaking noises, eventually a very quiet and strained "Y-Yes..." came out of Izumi.
