The Scrubland Clifftops

It felt good to get out of the base for a while, more so to have the scent of the salt water washing over him as they made their way onto the island. Once they had docked, Rory headed towards the stairs, following them up to the trails. Backpack secured in place, a few of the plants caught his attention.

Beach: Go away, wooper!

Oh no... not the wooper again... Was it following her? Izumi sighed and went back to the beach blanket where Dog was sitting, munching on a bag of crisps he'd found in the pack.

"Dog... Those were supposed to be part of lunch..." Izumi sighed. There was nothing she could do about it now, she supposed. "Hey, look... You stay here, okay? Just in case Jerome is trying to find us. I'm going that way, just to explore for a bit." Izumi smiled and pat the pokemon on the head, turning and heading up the beach a ways.

It was a nice day for an outing, and the island was small enough she wasn't worried about getting lost, so she could just enjoy the nature and clean air and being out of her tiny apartment.

She climbed up on a pile of large rocks on the beach, looking out over the water. Izumi clutched some pokemon food in her metal hand and tossed it as far as she could onto the beach and into the water.

"Aww..." Izumi frowned and sighed. Just an empty shell... That was too bad, Shelder was cute. The food she'd thrown stayed on the beach, scattered in the sand and bobbing in and out on the tide. Izumi laid back on her rock and stared at the sky.

The Scrubland Clifftops, goodbye Delibird

Working his way closer to the plants to see if any were producing fruit, the rustling on the ground had him glancing down to see the Delibird making its way through with its little bag thrown over its shoulder. Leaving the pokemon alone, he caught the faint hint of color against the leaves and plucked some of the berries.

While Alice normally didn't wake up quite so early, the opportunity to explore a small island near Kodo was too good to pass up. Somewhere new to explore, new pokemon to see, pictures to take? Absolutely! So she packed a backpack with plenty of food and drink, wrapped Cassandra up in her fuzzy coat, donned her own winter gear and departed. She spent the trip there alternating between huddling in her warm coat and taking pictures of the water and islands, and when they docked at the jetty she disembarked gleefully. Unlike the other eager passengers, however, Alice stayed near the boat for the time being as she fished out her camera once more and began to take pictures. "Thank you for the ride, Captain Whittard!" The young woman said happily as she focused her camera on the cliffs. "This island is beautiful! Do you take people on this trip every year, or is this the first time?"

Izumi didn't see the stupid stalker shell. She just lay on her rock, looking at the clouds roll by.

"Hrmph." The captain turned his gaze away from the departing passengers to look at the young woman who'd spoken to him. His shoulders rolled forward in a shrug, and he blew a long puff on his pipe.
"Firs' time." The old man grizzled around the pipe, while scratching at his big white beard, and turned back to the island.
