[Aulus: AREA 2: Oh gross. Taking the goo. Still booby prizes please.]
What was that? Ugh, and he'd nearly stepped in it too. Aulus hunkered down to take a picture of the... stuff? He then twisted his right wrist and, after ensuring nobody was looking at him, slid the cover aside again to take a scan of the goop. He then took his water bottle out of the side of his backpack, drank as much as he could, poured the rest away onto the sand and finally used his metal fingers to scoop all the slimy stuff into the bottle, unavoidably along with some sand too.
After sealing the bottle carefully Aulus tucked it back into its place in his bag and straightened up as his arm buzzed at him; it wasn't an analysis of his goo yet but it was something, instruction to find samples. His response was quick and to the point; already have one, will seek more, and also have unknown goo, waiting for analysis.

[Zev, area 3, not taking Beldum: really just looking for battles, or weird stuff]
Ah-ha, something else to battle! "Alright, Amigo, Tackle it! And Vision..." Damn what was it called? "Ah, Feint Attack!" The pair of small pokemon happily launched themselves at the hovering one-eyed thing, it held up longer under the assault than the slime-thing had and got in a couple of attacks itself too but before too long it was sent wavering and wobbling away.
"Aww, you look a bit tired Amigo," Zevran said with a sympathetic smile for the rather bashed Caterpie as he stooped to scoop him up and deposit him on his shoulders. "You did well there though, you will evolve in no time I am sure! And you too Vision, but bugs are faster Taavi said." He was not going to question the wisdom of a man who could list off the name of each of the many hundred pokemon known to exist in the order they appeared in a standard pokedex.

[Zev: Area 3: Shiny! Taking the stones!]
Seen as this place seemed to be crawling with pokemon to battle Zevran released Copper and Stardust from their pokeballs and instructed the two eeveeloutions and Vision to fan out to look for potential opponents.
When Copper started yipping sharply he at first assumed that the Jolteon had done just that but no, the yellow pokemon was just prancing around something he'd found on the ground. "What is it?" Zevran called as he walked over; Copper chattered away unintelligibly some more and wiggled his rear in the air.
Zevran came to a halt in front of his pokemon and looked down. He raised his eyebrows. "Shiny stones. Really? Well, we shall take them with us eh? If you like them so much." The Jolteon barked happily and Zevran stooped to pick them up and slip them into his pocket.

[Aulus: Area 1: Seeking booby prizes]
Red landed lightly near the centre of the crater and Aulus slid quickly to the ground, where he turned in a slow circle studying his immediate surroundings. Whatever had landed here must have been many times the size of the meteorite he had been beside a couple of minutes ago so where the hell was it? It would have taken a hell of an operation to move it.
Frowning to himself Aulus released Juno from her pokeball and gave her a companionable slap on the carapace. "Do me a favour, fly up and see if you spot any vehicle tracks? I wasn't really looking for them when Red and I came down." He suspected they'd've stood out, anything capable of shifting what must have been here, but it was worth getting Juno to look anyway.
<> the pink Heracross agreed, unfurling her wings and buzzing up into the air to start a circuit of the crater.
Aulus meanwhile hunkered down to study the ground under his feet more closely, the damn great thing couldn't just have vanished! This being the case, and if there were not gigantic tracks to be spotted, then what had removed it? Perhaps a psychic or electric type with great power could have managed it - seriously great - but why and where would it or they have taken it?

[Area 1: Aulus: Screw it. Seeking anything in this area]
Aulus poked thoughtfully at a large screw on the ground. After a moment he shrugged and pocketed it because what the hell, he was already carrying a bottle of Grimer slime with him so why not pick up all the random s**t he encountered?
At that moment Juno buzzed back in and landed heavily. <>
Not that, then. "Yes, it eliminates something anyway," Aulus replied as he messaged the e-drop again; no meteorite in the primary crater, no sign of a vehicle large enough to have removed it. As many electric types were noted by the smaller meteorite were more drawn to the larger one? If so did they - by group effort or the power of an extraordinary individual - move it elsewhere? If so where and why? Continuing to search the area.
With message sent and promise made Aulus released the rest of his pokemon; Thanatos, Tortie, Char, and relatively new acquisition Aperture. "Alright you lot I want you to search the area for anything out of the ordinary, suffice to say something strange is going on here. We're missing a massive meteorite made partially out of an unknown substance so be careful. If you see, hear, smell, or otherwise sense anything call me over, got it?" They had; Aulus nodded in satisfaction. "Good."
As the team fanned out Aulus took a direction of his own, keeping his own pretty pathetic senses trained for anything that might be notable.
