Jesse would awaken bright and early, eager to keep her roommate as comfortable as possible and in turn, that made her determined to set herself a routine. This morning, that would entail firstly taking a wash and freshening herself up before opening the window and allowing a refreshing breeze to drift in through the sun-streamed windows.
It was a free day and naturally she would have set off at the crack of dawn towards the marketplace - her intentions obviously to explore the stalls and perhaps bring back some sweet-treats from Rosalyn's Bakery, but first, she wanted to set herself a task that she hoped to maintain for as long as she could...
Locating the broom, the Fennec Child would sweep the floor, careful not to kick up any dust or fur in the direction of her roommate's bed before finding a dustpan and brush and scooping it all up. From there, she would make her bed before taking a moment to throw on some fresh clothes.
If Fiona was present, Jesse would ask her friend if she had any plans for the day, if the Diviner had already left, then Jesse would grab her bag and set off for the Marketplace.

At the sound of movement and a questionable groan, Jesse's large ears would swivel back towards Fiona before the Fennec Child would turn, greeting the Diviner with a grin - at least until she realised she'd awoken her roommate - at that she would scratch the back of her head in some mild embarrassment before dropping her eyes to the floor, "Sorry, did I wake you...?" she felt bad, making a note to perhaps clean up the room when Fiona wasn't present...That would work, right?
"Oh, it's not a problem," in regards to the day before, Jesse had once again taken to living in the moment - it had been a shame that Fiona hadn't wanted to get involved, but the Fennec Child had enjoyed Vikraahm's quiet company and had perhaps gotten a little more work done than she may have if she'd been chatting to a friend. "Don't be put off though, it's really a good class, you learn so much about plants and their properties, I've learnt so much already," it would have been even better had their tutor been present, but Jesse still enjoyed the company of the few students that attended.
"Are you sure?" she would tilt her head as Fiona mentioned about feeling the need to rest a little, "I can shut the window if you like?" she wasn't sure how she could help, but was more determined to visit the Bakery now in the hopes of picking up something nice for them to share later on when she returned.
If Fiona wanted the window closed, Jesse would do just that - as carefully and as quietly as she could before pulling on her bag and bidding her roommate farewell and good resting before making her way out of the door. Once she was outside the Dorm Room, the Shifter would transform, taking on her Fennec Form before making an energetic dash down the corridor.

~ Jesse and Rin's Dorm Room ~
Jesse always liked Free Days as there was always something she could find to do - This particular morning, she decided that she might just take an extra hour to rest. The previous day had been interesting in the Botany Class, but after it was over, she was quite ready for bed.
Although she still missed those whom she had shared a dorm room with, the Fennec Child was always up for meeting newcomers - and according to her senses when she returned the night before, she'd been blessed with another of whom when she remembered - and was eager to meet.
Letting out a yawn - she had taken her Fox Form like old times and curled up beneath the sheets to sleep - Jesse would crawl from the blankets and shake out the sleep from her fur. Once stretched, the Fennec Child would hop down from her bed, lifting her little nose to the air in an attempt to assess her new roommate. She had perhaps finally learnt that jumping up onto the bed of her new roomie wasn't the best plan and instead sat in the centre of the floor with her long tail curled around her little feet.
Sitting quietly, her large Radar-like ears would swivel this way and that, listening not only to the world around her, but to the breathing of her dorm-buddy. It was tempting - of course - to call out, but in hindsight, some people also got rather grumpy at being disturbed and eventually, Jesse would lie down, crossing her paws infront of her before resting her head upon them.
She had no idea when her roommate would arise, but still quite eager to try and make a new friend this year, Jesse was prepared to wait...and catch an extra moment of sleep if the chance arose.

At the sound of movement, Jesse's ears would twitch, then, at the young shifter's voice, she would open her eyes, her large ears flopping outward as she let out a yawn before blinking a few times.
The voice wasn't one she recognised immediately, but at the mention that she was 'from the Knit Class' Jesse's eyes focused and she looked directly at the female - her ears flicking back as she recalled how her fellow Shifter had seemingly snubbed her offering...still, that was in the past and Jesse was more of a Soul that lived in the Present - right?
As Catherine introduced herself, the Fox would shuffle back a bit before returning to her human form, sitting cross-legged on the floor infront of the shifter as she lifted her eyes to take in her true appearance. It wasn't always easy for others to understand animal-speak and knowing this, Jesse had chosen to become human so they could talk - if she wished to?
"Jesse." Putting the previous day behind her, the Fennec Child would stretch out a hand in greeting, her large ears once again displaying a somewhat uncertain nature, with one twisting back whilst the other remained in a forward position, ready to listen.

"I guess we are," there was the slightest of swishes to Jesse's long tail, but it was there. She'd never had a Shifter as a roommate before and even though they'd not exactly gotten off to the best starts the day before, but maybe they could start anew? At the thought of this, she felt a little twitch of excitement, then tilted her head as the female turned and slipped beneath her bed.
"Those look nice," she would watch as Rin returned with two sets of clothes. She had to admit, both looked quite nice, but Jesse had to admit, she had a preference for the red one - the blue jumper was nice, but if it was going to be hot and sunny again, it might prove too warm for the Husky. "...Maybe we can go shopping some time and find some more?" She was already wearing her latest purchase, but with a few extra coins earned from helping out Leo at the Tailors, she wondered if Rin might just be interested in joining her? "A girl can never have too many clothes...right?"
Even if Catherine already had plans that day, Jesse had at least attempted an invitation, there was no telling what the female Shifter liked to do, but eager to make new friends, she knew she had to start somewhere.

Jesse hadn't expected to hear the momentary burst of excitement in Rin's voice and as the Shifter seemed to silently correct herself for the outburst, the Fennec Child couldn't help but smile - albeit discretely. Her large ears now relaxing from the brief glimpse of her roommate's perhaps true personality before watching as Catherine disappeared off to change.
"That looks really good on you," She would beam encouragingly as Rin returned, tempted to ask the girl for a quick spin but resisting the urge - they were still uncertain of eachother afterall. "That's great!" as her fellow Shifter agreed to the little trip, Jesse couldn't help but take on her Fox Form, performing a quick and excited spin before taking a run up at the door.
As she had done many times in the past, Jesse would leap up, all four paws twisting upon the handle before she kicked off to the side, landing neatly on the ground before turning back to watch as the door swung ajar. "You up for a run?" She almost forgot there was no guarantee Rin would be able to understand her yips whilst she was still human, but Jesse hoped the Husky Shifter might just fancy burning a little energy in a good sprint down to the marketplace? She would wait to gauge her roommate's reaction before leading the way when she was ready to go.

"Brrrrrrrrrrrrgh...!" Winter was not necessarily the Fennec Child's favourite time of year - especially when it was soo cold and her tiny form so hard to insulate...! This morning, she lay curled up in her Shifter Form, bundled up in a blanket, beneath the sheets of her bed which also had a layer of furs dragged on top for warmth... Sure, it was a free day, but it was a day where if she had the choice, she would prefer Not to move...at all.
It was bad enough that the Winter Solstice - an event that was usually enough to coax her into her favourite hoodie which had been a gift from her Father - had been cancelled for fears of it being used as another opportunity to attack... She could understand that with everything that had happened, people were afraid, but could they not have held something smaller...? Or gotten more guards in? She knew she was being selfish, but with the disappointment of there being no Winter Solstice and of course the cold that slipped in every time she changed her position beneath the covers, the Fox just didn't feel up to it...
Naturally there should have been other things to draw the Fennec Child from her toasty cocoon, but this morning, with little else to look forward to and her fallback of purchasing a new book from the Book Store now also unavailable, the sulky Fox decided there would be little point wasting a perfectly good opportunity to sleep in...Besides, her bed was all snuggly with its vast amount of layers keeping her warm...

Nanashi really hadn't had much to do back in the room, and with the entire town still being on high alert since the attack, it sucked knowing that the festival was cancelled. Nanashi thought about it, and found it weird that it's already been a whole year since he entered. So far, it felt good to be able to move on past his old life, and live as a normal person. Still, he was pretty sad that he's virtually an orphan, with nobody to take care of him. He missed out on his childhood, but he was happy to find himself a life here. Today was a day where Nanashi decided to not bring a weapon and actually go and visit Jesse today. He hadn't seen much of her ever since the wedding. He could only trust that Rin was keeping her entertained. Getting to the dormitories, Nanashi realized that as soon as he was near, it would look pretty bad by the teacher's standpoint for him to get caught in the girl's dormitories, looking like a pervert. Okay... Just like before, don't get caught! Nanashi would mutter to himself, as he would slowly sneak in. As soon as he was inside, he hid from sight, going from corner to corner, being as quiet as virtually possible, to get to Jesse's room. By the time he was near, he listened in, and heard Rin and Jesse through the wooden door frame. That was when he would open the door. Did someone say something fun in mind? Nanashi announced, as he would slide right in. Sorry for barging in, but I... Wait, I'm not sorry! Heheh! Can't believe they had to cancel the festival today, eh? Nanashi said, as he would just invite himself in. It was a weird habit of his, anyway. So what's up, guys? He asked.
