pixiestixryu Tesah Hmm, I guess maybe him solving the puzzle gave him an unconscience urge to wear sexy clothes. *nods* That seems to be the agreed upon fact. Having a yami makes you skankier wether you mean to be or not. =o I mean did you notice how once yami marik was gone we never saw him in a belly-shirt again? The truth is out there. XD Good point. Plus, we see a lot more of Bakura's bare chest once he starts being able to hear Yami no Bakura's voice.

My theories never make sense, this is a fine day! eek Or a sign of the apocolypse! either way its true! Having a yami inevitably makes you skanky. *nod* Once you grow a 2nd personality you show a lot more skin. Yugi never went out without his jacket before his mind was corrupted! But we should test this hypothesis... somebody go kill a relative! surprised

I have a question about the manga.(Wow I wish I had it with me.)I don't remember which one it was,but it was during Duelist Kingdom,after they met Mai and started being friendly..and stuff... But anyways,she left a bag with Anzu,who took it out to the guys,and they were wondering where Mai went. Just one problem. They were wondering where 'Miss Shiranui?'(I think that was it.. sweatdrop ) went. ..... Isn't Mai's last name Kujaku?Or were they talking about someone else?Or...was it just the specific manga I happened to buy?I'm so confused.. ._.;;

Don't worry about it. Shonen Jump's YUU*GI*OU translation has *tons* of mistakes! I sent them an email ranting about all their mistakes. rolleyes For example, they keep switching of call Pegasus "Pegasus J. Crawford" and "Maximillion Pegasus." They also call most of the characters' full names by birth name before sir name, but they left Haga and Ryuuzaki "the Japanese way" by putting sir name before birth name. And my favorite of the mistakes: there was actually a part on their way to Duelist Kingdom on the ship where they kept one of Honda's lines in the original Japanese text! It was just a little caption that said "Urayamashii..." which means "Envious..." but how could they just not notice it?! It wasn't a huge bubble but it wasn't hidden either.

During the Duel with Joey possessed by Marik vs Little Yugi I'm not getting something. Marik looks like he has total control and all he has to is drown them and take Slifer but he must not have total control because he does this. What is stopping him from just sinking yugi and taking slifer?

Well, the dub says he has to defeat Yuugi in a duel to get proper ownership of the Puzzle, but that's just a load of crap. They never really explain that, but I'm guessing Malik just wants to see the Pharoah squirm before he drowns him. XD It also probably has to do with some warped sense of honor Malik has, not wanting to just say they have to duel and then plain-out drowning Yuugi and Jounouchi without the duel starting.

You know what really pisses me off about the english Yuugiou manga's translation? Everytime they talk after a certain volume of duelist, I believe its after Yuugi has defeated Peggy-chan in DK, Mokuba refers to Seto as Kaiba. Why doesn't he call him big brother like he's supposed to? Or at least Seto. He shouldn't call him by their family name. @_@

Maybe the translators didn't want to keep saying 'Lord Big Brother' which is about as direct as you can get with the translations. On the other hand calling him by his last name only could be seen as respectful without overblowing it with Mr. *Shrugs* People are strange.

On the other hand calling him by his last name only could be seen as respectful without overblowing it with Mr. *Shrugs* People are strange. Even in translation though, that makes little sense. Heck, it would make more sense to simply translate it as "Master Seto" over "Kaiba!" Since Mokuba's title for Kaiba is loving yet respectful, "Kaiba" hardly seems like the name to use in translation. Saying Kaiba without any honorific is disrespectful in itself plus it takes the intimacey of their relationship, especially since Mokuba's last name is Kaiba too! I mean, I would never call my brother "Smith" and we don't even have the same last name. XD So that wouldn't make sense in either Japan or America. Besides, knowing Shonen Jump, it would be more likely that they would just put "Seto" over anything, since they tend to do a mix of dub and Japanese titles. (like Shizuka calling Jounouchi "Katsuya" instead of "Onii Chan") I really think it is just some idiot translator who knows nothing of YUU*GI*OU so just put what most of the characters call Kaiba.

This is going to be a mind blowing idea but bear with me. I think the rule of the puzzle is that only the person who can put the puzzle together can access it's power. Remember Otogi's dad went insane when he tried to do it. I think this is partly because only the Pharaoh can put the puzzle together so only Yugi can do it. By default that would make him a reincarnation of the Pharaoh. Malik defeating Yugi for the Puzzle is a parallel of High Priest Set dueling Atemu. In fact a great deal of Malik's existance is a parallel of the Pharaoh's, from being a responsibility to leading a people, to restrictions of where he can go. Possibly because from what it looks like Malik's father is High Priest Set's father reincarnated. If the God Cards don't look at time, and only look via the soul. Then Malik would be viewed as a younger brother to High Priest Set and therefore would have a right to claim the throne. The Rod and therefore Zork is trying to get Malik to do what he made Set do 3000 years ago. Namly kill the Pharaoh so that Zork can Rule. Defeating Yugi would signify to the God Monsters that Malik is more worthy of the throne and therefore a power transfer would be possible.

Defeating Yugi would signify to the God Monsters that Malik is more worthy of the throne and therefore a power transfer would be possible. Hmmm... that's really interesting. That would also explain why Malik was drawn to the Sennen Rod as Isis was drawn to the Sennen Tauk. I really like that theory. It's thought-out, makes sense, and wacky just like YUU*GI*OU. ^^ Also a good explanation for why Malik felt the need to actually 'duel' Yuugi. One thing though: it is impossible for Yuugi to be the reincarnation of Atem since reincarnation is the soul being reborn. Atem and Yuugi both have souls, so since Atem's soul was sealed in the Sennen Puzzle, it couldn't have been reincarnated into Yuugi. For YUU*GI*OU, instead of reincarnation I've seen it as more like "brother souls" or "sister souls," as in they are not the same soul reborn but connected souls that are very similar.
