^ Me neither.

Plus everytime he decides to help yugi and his friends while they're on the brink of destruction it gives all the fangirls an excuse to say he isn't a complete b*****d. I don't believe that for a second...

But I noticed something interesting in the 15th volume that came out a little while ago. Its the anchor duel and kaiba is watching possesed jounouci explain how the set-up works and he says something like: I have to stop this! Even I wouldn't do something like this! Either way somebody is going to have to die! O_O

....didn't you try to kill not only yugi, but all his friends and family in various gruesome ways about 2 arcs ago?

Has he repressed those memories or what? I miss bad-a**, playing by his own rules, kaiba. He acts like such a pansy now. D=

Yami no Yuugi destroyed his corrupt heart and Kaiba had to rebuild it. Once it was complete, even though Kaiba was still quite insane and a jerk, he was at least less of an insane jerk. He actually cared about his little brother and if other people died. Plus, don't think he wanted a bad rep for his tournament; wouldn't look so good in dueling history if people died in it. ^^;;

Well that reputation thing is a valid point.

That still doesn't excuse the "even I wouldn't go this far comment" xd
Unless the pharaoh erased his mind as well as broke it, but that seems too nice even for a softy like him.

come to think of it, he seemed to get off really easily for losing a shadow game... twice. I mean he didn't lose his money or his family, and then after a penalty game hes up and back to bother everyone again a month later. How does he and bakura do it? confused

(and was that sentence correct english? It sounds weird to me)

Meh, I get what you're meaning so it's all good. 3nodding Anyway, I always wondered that too, I mean how Kaiba got off so easy. XD;; Everyone else ended up crazy but no Kaiba just had some nightmares.

Haha, we're getting kinda off-topic.

One thing I admit I liked better in the anime is the battle during death-t between that crazy gameshow guy and the super-model vs. Jounouchi and Miho. That was really entertaining. & the fact that ryou appeared randomly and pointed them in the right direction was cooler too. I love it when characters mysteriously appear without explination. =D

I know, it's so amazing. XD It's happens so often in Dragon Ball Z it's crazy. A character will just suddenly be on another planet to save the day without any explanation.

Its that tricky little plot fairy! She'll make everything happen so fast you don't even stop to wonder where these random characters are coming from until the episode is already over! xd

Another thing funny about the anime is the filler-arcs. Yeah, so they're pointless wastes of your life that are never relevent to the over-all plot, but they can be really funny. whee I'd like to see them in manga form.

I've always loved the filler arcs... they're just so interesting and they give more insight into the characters.

You mean random fan-service... xd

We all know the noa arc was only put there to get anzu in a dmg costume.

& the penguins. I liked the penguins.

Kitsunechan is going to hate me but I hate the Fillers. Save for the VR RPG and Valon from Doma. When I write my fics, heck with anything I hate loose threads and the fillers all had them everywhere.

With Rebecca's filler, the original one wasn't so bad, it was nice knowing grandpa had some friends in life.

Noa's Arc: Where do I begin? Ok. Let's take Gozoboro. In both versions of how he dies, he either died of a sudden heart attack or because he threw himself out of a high story window. A heart attack cuts blood off from the brain, that's why you have people who develop physical or verbal disabilities after a heart attack. The brain was damaged during the time it was starved for air. A high story fall is going to kill you. Period. With either cases a brain is going to obtain damage, and yet we're expected to believe that Gozoboro not only survived long enough to have his brain downloaded into the system, but have it completely downloaded without problems or clear signs of damage?
Then there's Noa himself. We're expected to believe Gozoboro cared for his son. If that's the case why didn't Gozoboro just find some random unwanted kid and download Noa's brain into the kid himself from the get go? Why waste his time looking around and then settle for a kid who was going to come with the baggage of a baby brother?

Doma: The Duel. It's stated later that Yami Yugi can not pass on till he loses a duel. Doma blows that out of the water by having Yami lose a duel to Raphael!
After countless rants about the 'heart of the Cards' after all the people Yami's driven nuts or killed to protect Yugi. He tosses it all out of the window the moment he touches the stupid green magic circle? I'm supposed to believe that without Yugi Yami turns into an angst ridden Emo anger management class canadate? Ladies and Gentlemen this is supposed to be the soul of a person who 'ran a nation' I think he has a little more self control then that.
The Tablets. The whole idea that Monsters are the Ka of people from Ancient Egypt becoming nothing more then the manifestations of thoughts of man? Even if you apply that notion that the monsters of Egypt's shadow games are different, then why on earth was DMG on that world? For that matter why would DMG be the one with a voice and the one to do all this helpful 'guiding' for Yugi and Yami Yugi if it's DM who's the sig card? ... Sorry forgot about the whole big breasts and small skirt equation.

Kaiba Corporation Grand Prix: Vivian was a Mary Sue Rebecca was one too. Vivan is that 'physical' type of Mary Sue, the one who can do anything that's physical in fact look at her record: Model, Actress, Kung Fu student (If not master) AND High Caliber duelist? All at once? No, that reeks of Sue and I hate sues.
Rebecca is that brainy Sue, the smart one, that reeks of growing up to be a hot babe. Yet has somehow forgotten there is a four year at 'least' age gap between her and Yugi.
Then there's the whole lack of common sense about time. Disney Land and World were 'not' built in less then six months how the heck was Kaibaland?

I like the manga format more, simply because it's a solid plot without threads falling over the place.

...but watching the pharaoh cry was the highlight of my entire television viewing experience. Yeah, so it was completely out of character, and all the squealing puzzle-shipping fans made new more solid arguements, but it was damn good entertainment. Damn good!

I understand how rediculous it was, but even if the filler arcs drive you crazy, you have to admit they were half-way entertaining! Or maybe only the men will agree with me.

At least we agree on what is truly important! Manga does not make your mind implode as much, & therefore it owns your mortal soul.

Of course I don't hate you for that Lady Lunar Phoenix! XD Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and you have a very good point; the majority of filler arcs were totally full of crap that didn't make sense. But I still love them.

I think you'd have to have some taste for rediculous crap to get interested in yu-gi-oh in the first place. =D Thats why more fans don't riot in the streets when the filler arcs are aired. (or maybe its because we're all on-line XD)

The fillers were fine for me till I started writing my fan fic. I wanted to keep it to cannon and so I removed all the fillers and have started inserting them in as part of the cannon. And when I started doing that I noticed all the annoying loose threads in the series. (Snarls)
But I 'did' like Valon. Actually... I adore Valon. I like him and when it comes to pairings I prefer him with Mai any day of the week. Jounouchi is fine as a friend, but the fact of the matter is he is 'not' mature enough to date Mai on any level.
And I realize people would argue that it's the age thing. But considering the fandoms that support *****, rape, and incest in YGO as normal healthy relationships (They're not) Age really doesn't come into it for me.

[rant]*Finally* someone who agrees with me on that! :O I am always thinking that Jounouchi and Mai wouldn't make a good couple and that Varon would be a lot better for her! Even not considering his age, Jounouchi is a naturally immature person, which I assume would cause them to annoy the hell out of eachother. I've always seen the two more as a brother sister thing. They love eachother but they always fight and one's much older and more mature than the other. So it's not the OMGIADMIREYOUSOMUCH kind of sibling relationship that Jounouchi and Shizuka have or Kaiba and Mokuba, but more of the type that the majority of American families have.[/rant]
