Leon = Guns (Long range)
Hunter = Claws (Close range)

Crazed Dr. Salvador + Long range weapons = Dead
Crazed Dr. Salvador + Close range weapons = Alive

I've beaten a few crazed Dr. Salvador before with long range weapons (ran from most sweatdrop ), but I don't think claws or a knife would get close enogh to make an effect.

I wonder if those crazed versions have an official name...?

There is a way to kill off those kind of Salvadors with just a knife but it's really hard to pull off. All you have to do is run like hell towards a ladder where theres on each side, hope to God no other enemies are on you're a**. Wait with your knife at the ready at an angle facing the water. As soon as you see the Sumbitches head,slash him and he'll fall into the water. Some other guy did it and placed it on youtube,but he cheated.

Mercenaries Leon has a Blacktail and a Riot Gun.

The blacktail maybe long range but it isn't powerful at all, and the Riot Gun is somewhat powerful but can hardly be called long range.

I've been killed by a Hunter before, while in the green, in one attack.

it would seem that the qestion has drifted to hunter Vs super chainsaw rather than hunter vs dr.salvador in any case the hunter could dodge the attack and swing from behind casue hunters are probaly the smartest RE B.O.W. to date well side from alterd wesker

Luis is a little bitchy Spaniard and more or less a disgrace of the entire culture. His hair may be of Dove quality, but that doesn't matter when it's tangled on something as you're running away.
