I've never heard of totem animals before.

Ohh. Totem Animals are what the Indians carved into wood. Usually there is three on one giant piece of wood. I'll have to send you a picture of one.

I knew what a Totem pole was. But I never knew of Totem guides until I saw that Balto movie. (I think it was one of the sequels)

Yeah, lol. A lot of people say Totem Animals because the Animals are more recognizable in conversation that Totem Poles, lol.

Red tailed hawk. Also horse and deer. I believe that any animal can be helpful to you and teach you something, it doesn't have to be your 'totem' animal.

That's true. Next Summer, I am going to try and go visit my Cherokee brethern so they can teach me about reading nature and animals and such if you can understand that. At North Carolina.

I love being part Cherokee. I really think it helps me with animals all the time. I have went up to a wild pitbull one time when everyone else tried to and it snipped at them and it just loved me and didn't do anything to me.

I know it sounds cliche, but I've got a drop of Cherokee form my dad's side...I live in Missouri, my grandma was from Oklahoma. The history about that is lost though because both of my grandparents that knew about it have passed on, one before I was born, the other when I was 3. My dad didn't know all that much either...he also passed several years ago.

I think animals are very good judges of character. They know those who mean them harm and I believe they can pick up your vibes. I've worked with animals for years as a stable hand and as a veterinary assistant, it amazes me that some people don't believe animals have souls or feelings.

It's really jacked up. My animal out of every type, would have to be a Hawk or a Cat cause I can connect with Cats really well and I just feel like I am a Hawk.
