Bah. I'm a sucker for those philosophical animes like Neon Genesis and Ghost in the Shell. It's just that there's not enough of them....

EVANGELION !!!!!

I was never a fan until recently. I used to love Cowboy Beebop, Trigun, Wolfs Rain, Ghost in the Shell. I still do! Do not get me wrong.

But Eva..... I can't place it.

It was made so much earlier, and was clearly way ahead of its time. It covers EVERYTHING!!

You like corruption? religion? philosophy? science? anime teenage angst? dark and twisted plot turns? And least we not forget the mind blowing action...gore...on epic proportions.

Also, for those interested...they will be making Evangelion into a LIVE ACTION MOVIE. Its been made a official for a while now. I'm still a little speechless myself.

The same guys who made Lord of the Rings and other such movies will be working on it. Don't expect it this year though, around 2008 they will have actors being casted for the roles.

If anyone wants the link for the interviews and concept art, message me. There is some AMAZING ARTWORK. It really brought the world of Eva in such a way that made it seem almost real.

For those who don't know about the series. Eva is a time where the apocalypse is upon the world we live in. Foretold in the Dead Sea Scrolls the coming of God's messengers. (Angels) Strange creatures bent on bringing the purging of man. The Evas are NOT gundams. Bio-mechanical. They have arms, and eyes, and teeth just like us.

Only three 14 year old kids with horrible pasts can pilot them. Residing in a city that was built with the worlds budget, hoping to create in a last ditch effort, the last stand for mankind.

And no......I wasn't this much of an Eva geek....but it grows and grows on you. It is very hard not to get into it ^-^

Yay! An anime forum! FullMetal Alchemist and Wolf's Rain I think are two of the best anime ever created.

I'm am Otaku. I own just as many animes on vhs (before DVD was comman) as I do DVDS though I tend to get and read more manga (I have an internet shopping addiction so It'll be some time till I can start buying dvds again.)

I like most genras of anime the only type I don't care for is stuff with too much fan service. It has to have a point beyond pantie shots a big boobs.
I'd have to say my all time faves are (long list) xXxHolic, Tsubasa, Escaflowne, Trigun, Cowboy bebop, Bleach (in japanese only), Death Note, NANA, Saiyuki, Jing; king of bandets, Hibane Renme, and many more Naruto is good if there is nothing eles to watch, and Inuyasha I'd seen it all long ago.

There are manga titles that should be animes NOW. Mars, Tenchi ja nai, King on hell, Alice 19th, Claymore, Kaze hikaru, Kagetora, and so many more my head hurts.

If anyone has anime questions ask me and if I don't know I know some one who does. =^-^=

I've read the first book of Tsubasa, and I really liked it...but I cant find the manga anywhere. I've also watched Trigun, Naruto, and Inuyasha, thought Naruto is the only one thats on frequently now.

Mine is a sad tale... So here we go biggrin First manga i ever saw was the first naruto which had the porn in it xd i didn't touc the stuff again till 7th grade when i watched adult swim, and I still do but loosely. Eventually I found out you could watch naruto episodes on youtube, so I wasted three weeks of my life watching all of them (yes even the gay fillers), sad thing was though, shortly before the fillers ended my freind got me reading the online manga, and now i'm so far ahead I don't even want to watch the show. The only thing is though.. that's really the only anime I watch, I think most of them are retarded, I think obsessed people need to observe my personal bubble, and I can't freaking wait to see sasuke get his pretty boy a** whupped! big love/hate thing with me and anime/manga xd
Aside from anime though, I love cartoons, I sold my sole to cartoon network and Adult swim. xp

www.animovies.com is where I bought Tsubasa DVDs for dirt cheap. ^_^ I have the first season haven't bought the 2nd yet though. What I like about Tsubasa is that the anime is almost to a T of the manga. A few filler eps is the only real differance. Naruto is mainsteam so its easy to find.

I've recently developed a liking to xxxHoLic and Tsubasa.
I've given up all hope on Naruto and Inuyasha.
So I redirect my attention to Bleach and random works of CLAMP.
I still find Card Captor Sakura a intersting manga.
How sad.

Thats not sad at all CCS is actualy really cute. 4laugh I cosplay as Yuuko from xXxHolic (though not too well) crying

I love it. xXxHolic is almost opposit of Tsubasa even though they entertwine. Tsubasa is an adveture with deeper meanings but xXxHolic is mainly deeper meanings with a side of adventure. heart The things they both have in common other then Yuuko which the adventures wouldn't happen with out. Is the deeper workings of the world (and alturnit worlds) and sacrifice aka payment.

My ex-girlfriend got me to watch the first season of CCR in the original Japanese [note: some episodes were cut in the english version and characterizations changed]. I wasn't minding at first, though I was surprised by the amount of homosexual themes for such a young target audience, but hey, gotta learn sometime, right. When I said "No more" was when the young male teacher revealed he had a thing for his 9 or 10 year old student. That was it for me. The one thing I really don't like about Japanese morals is their acceptance of *****. That's just where I draw the line.
