((Okay then, screw that idea... XD;; ))
"Oh wow!" Jounouchi suddenly shouted, "They have snakes! I didn't even know you could find snakes in Domino!" he said, about to run up to the reptile section. But something stopped him, a feeling if you will... He looked over at Malik, who was just slightly in front of him, feeling horrible all of the sudden. There was almost... a dark aura emmitting from the Egyption, which was strange since Jounouchi had never been one with anything like a sixth sense. Actually, that just plain creeped him out, all of that occult stuff. Jounouchi shivered, 'seeing' the aura coming towards him. It was so sad, so lonely, so dark... and then there was that face again, Yami no Malik's. It was laughing at him, mocking him for losing their duel just because of his weak spirit that couldn't stand an attack form Ra. And then he saw a vision, of Yami no Malik holding Omote no Malik by the hair, about to stab him with the blade of the Sennen Rod. "Malik, watch out!" Jounouchi suddenly shouted, tackling the other blond to the floor. But it wasn't the blade that had been attacking him like in Jounouchi's vision... instead a light bulb that must've been lose has suddenly fallen from the ceiling, nearly hitting Malik's head but instead hitting Jounouchi's leg since he pushed the boy out of the way. Jounouchi looked back at the light bulb in shock, not having had seen that coming at all. He had been trying to save Malik from the Rod, not the bulb... creepy...

One second ago Malik had been standing peacefully in the pet shop. Now he was sprawled across the speckled linoleum floor, rather clueless, and extremely irritated that his short moment of content had been broken. “What the hell is your problem!?” He snapped at the blond, springing up into a sitting position. Once he had sat up, it was all too clear what had happened... he saw the shattered light bulb and Jou’s bloodied leg before him.
Concerned and confused lavender orbs met the others hazel ones, “Are you okay....?!" He asked, reaching for the others hand to help him up. " I don’t understand what happened... why did you... do that...” His voice faded off, turning to thought.
Did he save me or something? But... how did he even know it was going to fall...?
What in Ra’s name is going on....?

Jounouchi accepted Malik's hand, looking equally confused, "I... don't know..." he said blinking as a concerned employee ran up to the two. He quickly shook his head, deciding it probably wouldn't be a good idea to make Malik think he was insane by talking about thinking he was going to get stabbed instead of hit with a light bulb. The employee began raving about how sorry she was and asking if they were hurt and that she would get someone to clean things up right away, but Jounouchi ignored her. Actually, he didn't even notice her, because he saw, behind Malik, Yami no Malik about ten feet away smirking, then he suddenly dissappeared. Jounouchi shivered, that horrible smirk... He looked over at Malik, "Are you okay?" he asked.

"I'm fine..." Said Malik, wearing a concerned face that was tinted with confusion. He was a little disturbed by Jou's behavior, the spaz seemed to be acting really delusion. Malik wondered if this was normal. If it is normal, I ought to ditch him before it's too late... The Egyptian thought, growing more irritated by each passing minute.
"At any rate, you should patch up that leg of yours. I have some first aid stuff at my apartment - it's only a block away. I'd rather not have you cause anymore attention to be drawn to us either. Your acting very peculiar - and we wouldn't want people to start assuming things." The Egyptian spoke in a rapid whisper, that sounded more like a demand then a suggestion.

Jounouchi quickly shook his head with a slight huff, "It's just a cut...s..." he added the "s" when he looked down and noticed that the lightbulb had shattered and given him multiple cuts. Then he crossed his arms and added, "Besides, I only caused commotion so I could save you." he spat out, not bothering to whisper, "If acting "peculiar" means trying to help someone then I don't know what to do." he looked away stubbornly, then quickly continued, "Anyway, I'll just go clean this up myself, so guess I'll be seeing ya Malik." he finished, turning towards the exit, not liking the fact that he had basically been demanded to go with Malik.

Malik did not, under any circumstance appreciate being talked to in the manner which Jou had just displayed.
He had not by any means, intend on sounding so demanding in the first place; perhaps perplexed and a little irritated, but not demanding.
So, it came out wrong. And now the impulsive blond was throwing a hissy fit barking as loudly as the grotesque mutts in the back kennels.
Malk ran to catch up with the other teen, grabbing his shoulders tightly and staring viciously into his eyes. "I don't know what your problem is but you need to calm down!" He shouted into the other's face. Realizing the scene he could potentially create by yelling, he forced his voice to a harsh whisper, "Look, if glass gets into your wound, it is going to be infected! Let me at least heal your wound as repayment for you saving me. And then you never have to talk to me ever again. Besides- I was only being honest about you acting odd, because you quite well are acting odd." Malik let go of the grip on Jou's shoulders, folding his arms across his chest and giving a rather obnoxious smirk, "Don't mind me for being honest."

Jounouchi lowered his gaze, glaring at Malik as he gave a slight growl, "I need to calm down?" he questioned, trying to keep his voice below a shout, "You're freaking out from a damn lightbulb... anyway, I *told* you I can take care of it myself. I've had much worse than this." he retorted, not enjoying how bossy and obnoxious Malik was seeming. After all, he *was* the foreigner! "Listen Malik, I don't care about repayment and I don't need help." The blond certainly didn't like being treated like an irresponsible little kid, which he did feel was what Malik was doing to him.

"You wouldn't have saved me if you hadn't intended on some form of repayment," Malk said calmly, after all, what other explanation was there?
He was beginning to wonder why he had even been happy to see the other blond minutes ago. Malik's expression was now pure disgust, for Jou had proven to become a mosquito on the Egyptian's back. Besides, if the light bulb had impaled his skull, he might've been taken out of the misery of his life, and be reunited with his parents. Fate could be such a fickle thing sometimes.
"Fine. Don't except my repayment. It's no skin off my bones. But, before you hobble on home, please explain to me what supernatural powers helped you to foresee that the light bulb was going to fall."
He had a feeling Jou wouldn't take the last line seriously, so in hoping to provoke an explanation from the other teenager, he added rather arrogantly, "Don't try to lie to me. Don't try to hide your little secrets either. I'm no idiot Katsuya Jounouchi. "

Jounouchi had had a glare planted firmly on his face at first, taking in what Malik was saying and holding back himself from punching the other boy. But they he blinked in slightly nervous surprise at Malik's comment about "supernatural powers." Did he possibly know about the vision? No, it couldn't be. That had just been Jounouchi seeing things... He would just seem insane if he said what had really happened, "I just..." he paused, stuck on his words, "I just noticed the lightbult loosening is all." he finally spat out, thinking it was a good enough explanation, though it really wasn't. He crossed his arms in expactancy, waiting for Malik to reply with a comeback that would force him to stay here any longer.

"Well then. I suppose you must have supernatural vision then?" Malik backed up to gaze at the ceiling light in speculation, putting his finger to his lip in deep thought, " It's quite impossible to even see the part where the light bulb actually connects to the ceiling Jounouchi-kun." Malik looked back to the other one, holding a confident smile. However, internally he had begin to feel slightly guilty, for the amount pleasure he was beginning to feel inside himself. Deep inside his body, he felt almost jumping with joy at the fact that he was able to have a conversation with someone other than family. And even better, start an argument with them.
Perhaps this made Malik a bit of a sadist.... but still, he couldn't help feeling this way. If he could provoke Jou in this way... then what other things could he provoke the blond to do....?
What am I thinking?! The Egyptians voice snarled inside his own head. He couldn't possibly understand it. But he would keep the argument going no matter what the consequence.
He approached the other, walking slowly and gracefully, making sure to stare him down as if he was a lion, stalking his prey.
"Hmm... maybe you are right. Or maybe you just had the urge to push me. Still have that pent up grudge against me...? I'd say it's time you let go of it. No need to hold onto the past. After all... remembering the past only brings us pain in the future. Don't you agree... Katsuya-kun....?"

Jounouchi visibly twitched, "Of course I've let go of the past you jerk!" he was completely pissed off now, "Why the hell else would I bother coming up to you and starting a conversation?!" He couldn't believe this guy! After all of this... after forgiving the guy for brainwashing him and hurting all his friends, after becoming civil to him, after offering a conversation, and even saving him from a damn lightbuld...! Malik was still acting like an a**! "If you don't wanna believe that I was just trying to help you by pushing you out of the way, then fine! I don't care!" he spat out, even though he obviously did care.

Ack. He hadn't expected such an intense reaction from the blond. He was just pulling himself deeper and deeper inside this conflict now.
He finally had the chance to meet a friend, and he was blowing it! Malik couldn't help himself though. He wish he could stop himself from feeling such excitement about arguing. Unfortunately, it was a terrible curse inherited from his father.
AND there was no way in hell, Jou didn’t care. The amount of barking he was providing to the conversation was proof. He wasn’t very good as masking his emotions.
That’s something we have in common... although, it isn’t a very honorable trait.
"Look. I... understand what you are saying..." Malik said trying his hardest to cover up the bitterness in his tone of voice, and he struggled for words that sounded less threatening. “I just, feel as though you aren’t properly giving me... a chance to return the favor! I think I deserve a right to help you in return! But judging by the way you are treating me, is making it seem as though you don’t trust me at all!” Malik stated sternly, quite proud at himself for finally being able to get that sentence out.

Jounouchi blinked in surprise, suddenly seeing Malik's side of the argument in a whole 'nother light. So Malik really thought that he didn't trust him...? Well, pretty good reason to believe that, Jounouchi supposed. He was acting quite suspicious of Malik's actions, mainly because he had gotten pissed. But he had found himself questioning if Malik had really changed or not just a little while ago. Agh, too confusing! But had he really just wanted to return the favor? Malik did seem like the type of person who hated keeping a debt as much as Jounouchi afterall... but he didn't have to be so demanding about it! Jounouchi was beginning to wonder why he was thinking all of this out instead of just forming it into words and using it as his reply. Then he realized that it was actually completely unlike him to be thinking at all before he spoke. Why wasn't he just blurting this all out? Why did Jounouchi feel the need to consider different angles of the situation? Was it because he had been taken aback by Malik's sudden... less... meanness... maybe it was a good idea Jounouchi wasn't blurting out; he would've sounded like a total moron if he had said that comment about the meanness out loud. Ah, but he needed to come up with a reply soon instead of just standing there blinking.
Suddenly, he couldn't sworn he saw of flash of Yami no Malik in Malik's eyes. Wait a minute... did that mean Jounouchi had been staring into Malik's eyes this whole while while he was thinking? Meh, whatever... but all of these 'visions' were really starting to creep Jounouchi out. He was starting to think that maybe it would be a good idea to talk to Malik about him... no, he would just look insane. Damnit all! In a bit of a huff, frustrated from his complicated thoughts, Jounouchi finally spat out, "Fine, you can repay me! But you don't need to be so damn pushy...!"

He had actually said... yes?!
"Really?!" Malik couldn't help but exclaim, with a slight hint of a very real smile.
"I can't help but be pushy. But, I'll try to respect your space. I wouldn't feel right about not returning your favor anyway. Come on, I'll get the cat later. My apartment is just a few minutes away. I have tea, and some snacks." The Egyptian gestured to the doorway, holding it open for the other. "Once your leg is healed, I won't have to feel bad about it anymore."

"Oh, um... okay..." Jounouchi said blinking, wondering why Malik seemed so cheery all of the sudden... maybe he just had mood swings... Jounouchi quickly shrugged it off, walking out the door. He had a tendency to quickly change his mood depending on other peoples' moods. If someone was rude to or yelled at him, he'd yell right back. But if someone was nice to and smiled at him, he'd smile right back. So he decided not to question it any longer and simply hope that he and Malik would be able to get along this time.
