Unless it's licenced, in which case the smart thing to do is buy the originals. Unless they've been Toonamified, of course (they were at one point, but they were told to discontinue their line, as Pioneer were doing them - minus the horrible edits). smile

~Hakubi Ryoko~ Because of some countries' complicated laws and a wish to be the ones getting the money locally for the shows, rather than losing out to the parent country. Straight out of Japan is OK in my book, but most Hong Kong stuff falls under the "bootleg" category these days. I deal strictly with fansubs, though, and I do follow their guidelines - I keep them until they're licenced. I only keep them, though, if the licenced copies are ruined (e.g. CardCaptors, instead of Card Captor Sakura - if that came out by itself, I'd keep CCS, as there's nothing wrong with keeping things for yourself as long as you don't profit with money). Like i said, something really long and complicated!

My collection is not very vast, but now that I am making more money I am adding more to my collection, currently I have 3 seasons of DBZ and will get the fourth the day it comes out. I just ordered a bunch of Sailor Moon stuff, I have the Tenchi Universe box set and I am working on getting the muyo/tokoyo one. I also have some peach girl stuff, so right now my collection is pretty pathetic but I am working hard on it, O I also have spritied away and kiki's delivery service.

I don't have much - just the shows I really like and some manga. Usually I just borrow from my boyfriend or watch stuff on the internet.

Well I only have two and a half series. Half because one of my series has some major problems. Like some episodes are only audio, some can't be read at all, and others can only be read on a DVD-ROM, instead of a DVD player >.<

I admit to downloading free anime. I bought a lot of dvds but in time they all tore up. easier now to store on computer or just watch you tube.
