But seriously. After my teacher accused me of plagerism and that whole thing.. I still gave him respect and listened to his critisim. Even if I wanted to tear him to shreads.

Matt held me back... And everytime I would open my mouth to talk back to him he would do something to get my to stop, or make someone ask me a question.

He did not want me getting myself into more trouble... Or kicked out of the class and loosing my credit.

Respecting elders was something I could never do. I feel respect is earned, not automatically given for any reason. Could be why I don't respect many of my teachers...

Ya... I know what you mean. I just bit my tongue.. really hard. My mom is a very high in the school district where I live.. So I can't talk back to teachers without it reflecting on her.

Ah, I kind of know the feeling. My mom works in politics so there is quite a few things I can't do (such as dying my hair), cause it may look bad for her.

Teachers are there to share information with you, they already give you respect. The very act of not disrespecting some one is respectful for that matter. Teachers usually opperate with a certain degree of clemency ( unless your in private school) The only way a teacher could not earn your respect is if he or she is either not very kind or if you dont feel like respecting them in the first place.

@Ni: see I sometimes do not think things thru.. and went and got myself a lipring. But it actually worked in my favor because some students at my school with the help of my mom got an agreement with the school board to allow certain piercings as long as they werent huge and distracting.
