That's the problem though. Backwoods dial up+tons of gaia graphics=crashed computer. And that's not an exageration.
Most browsers have an option where you can turn off the graphics. If you're familiar with Gaia enough, you should know which buttons are which... even if you can't read what's on them anymore. sweatdrop (also, if you hover your mouse above a broken image, it should tell you what the link leads to or what it does.)

I can try it, but I'm going to have to download a different browser. I'm learning that internet explorer doesn't like gaia at all, at least on my computer.

i have firefox and IE both, and firefox seems to run gaia much cleaner and quicker than IE does.

maybe to get this going better, we should make a whole new thread and say "this is the pattern we'll use but if you want to freestyle, go for it" blah blah blah, add in what a knitalong is and then declare that the thread for pictures, talk, etc. about the knitalong. maybe post the dice bag link and then also copy/paste her instructions in (i know lauren, i seriously doubt she'll care as long as we credit her) and then set a starting date: maybe the first of june? that gives everyone a little time to get stuff and ask preliminary questions, don't you think?

that dice bag pattern i posted takes like half a ball. any leftovers you have will probably do it if you just want to try the pattern.

ya I guess I'll just do that then.
I seam to like the larger needles and larger yarn than smaller... granted I want every thing to be tight... but I could not imagen making something big out of size 5's or something like that.
I seam to use my 9's for most of my stuff.

I like larger needles too. I think that's why I can't finish the stocks I started months ago... they're on US 3s. Ew. I think I like either my 8s or 10s, depending on the yarn and project.

I would love to make socks some day... but at the same time I don't want to cuz of the tiny needles.
I think I would be good with making some thing like slippers with biger yarn.

The smallest knitting I've done is for the House Bookscarves on size 0's. I didn't much like making them on size 0's because it felt like if I twitched wrong, I'd snap the needles. sweatdrop I still make bookscarves from time to time, but I do them on size 1's (which is a bit sturdier). They knit up pretty quickly. heart

I knit in front of the TV. My eyes are on my knitting (since I'm not that good at knitting yet), but I listen and sometimes look up. 3nodding
