Seeing Brile bound by his past again, Kouga tried to ignore the images that keep flashing across his eyes. Fire. Flames. Screaming. Blood. NO! It's the past! I can't do anything about it...He clenched his fists tightly as he felt tears threatening to come out from his eyes. I can't cry! That's WEAK! Not wanting to let Neko and Brile see him like this, he turned away and went to the edge of the mountain (just pretend your house is on a mountain whee ), sat down on a large rock and stared at the sky. Ossan...are you doing well? He asked the skies in his thoughts.

Kouga had his back facing Brile, so he couldn't see Brile starting to have one of his "spasms". Images keep flashing across his vision, and he fought them away. NO! I SWORE to get stronger...I'll defeat the bandits one day! Kamikuro too! He willed himself, and clenched his fists tightly when he thought of Kamikuro.

Kouga suddenly heard a cough from Brile, and turned around to glance at him.
"Brile-kun, you ok?" He stoped his question when he sees the blood seeping from Brile's mouth.
"DAMN--" He quickly runs over to Brile.

Kouga slows down his run and walks slowly to Brile,
"Brile-kun...you really love your mother, don't you?"
He sits down at the pond side and stares at his own reflection,
"I know what it's like to lose a loved one...especially if ossan died to save me." Kouga said very quietly.

"Your mother, eh?" Kouga looked at Brile and asked, "I don't even remember my parents' faces." he said quietly, looking into the pond and throwing a stone into the water.
"They abandoned me as soon as I was born, according to Ryu-sama at the monastery." Here, he lifted his head and asked, "What's your mother like?"
