Maddix laughed and climbed out to check the burgers.
Darren smiled at that, coming forward to wrap his arms around Jaime's waist as their chests pressed together. "You'll never lose me." he said confidently as he leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to Jaime's lips before increasing the passion.
Derrick raised a brow, "Is that your plan? Well then," he wrapped both arms around Dimitri and hugged him tightly though not painfully as he nuzzled his nose against Dimitri with a mischevious grin. "I'm not letting you go, muwahaha!" he maniacally laughed in a purposefully deeper voice.

Jaime wrapped his arms all the way around Darren, replying, "Good, because you're not getting rid of my anytime soon." As Darren kissed him, the corners of Jaime's mouth turned up, savoring every moment and every taste of his kisses.
Dimitri growled playfully at being squeezed tighter. He wasn't about to argue with being held tighter to Derrick, though. He loved every moment of being close to the other.

Darren chuckled and felt arms wrap around him. He continued the kiss as his tongue slid past Jaime's lips, furthering the kiss.
Derrick laughed at the playful growl, "I'll take that as acceptance of my victory." he smiled and pressed a kiss to Dimitri's nose, before letting him go and holding him with one hand as he tugged Dimitri's ear. "Rarr."

Jaime felt a pleasurable shiver go down his spine. He let his tongue dance with Darren's, holding him as close as possible.
Dimitri laughed, though it came out as another happy growl. "Yes, yes...I concede," he said with a playful exasperation. When Derrick tugged his ear, Dimitri snapped his jaw at Derrick's hand in a playful manner, and in no way hard enough to hurt.

Maddix called out, "Food's done, lover boys!" he laughed.
Derrick grinned at the first bit and chuckled as the other snapped his jaw. "Rowdy fellow aren't you." he said teasingly, using the other's dog name as the word although purposefully since it was also Dimitri's dog name. As he heard Maddix, he glanced towards Darren's grinning older brother waving a pair of tongs and chuckled. Derrick looked back to Dimitri with a smile as he tapped Dimitri's nose, "Hungry, Dim?" Since it was meat, Dimitri would still be able to eat it as a dog. Otherwise Derrick wouldn't have eaten since he'd not have wanted to make Dimitri feel bad.

Dimitri nodded. "A nice hamburger or hot dog will be a nice change from dog food," he said with a happy growl.
Jaime slowly pulled out of the kiss and smiled. "If I wasn't so hungry, I'd completely ignore Maddix right now," he groaned before stealing another small kiss.

Derrick felt a little guilty that he'd taken Dimitri's first chance to really eat as a human. He was feeling guilty about not letting Dimitri have his body. There was probably something odd in that, but he cared not. Dimitri was more important.. He smiled. "You'll have both then, my friend. Whatever you like." Derrick scratched behind Dimitri's ear a moment before rising from the water and heading to the towels. He set Dimitri down as he wrapped one around himself, and then he grabbed a towel and wrapped it around Dimitri, hand drying the other with a smile. "Ha! No more wet dog." More or less. A towel drying would make him not wet at least, but he wouldn't be quite dry either.
Darren scrunched his nose, "Oh? Thinking with your stomach rather than your heart? How sweet." he said playfully as he kissed back before pushing Jaime back so that he went backwards into the water before laughing as he swam to the edge and pushed on the side, getting out.
Sorcia was already out and had one arm around Maddix's waist as he made her a hamburger.

Dimitri saw the guilt in Derrick's eyes, so he licked the other's cheek to help reassure him. He wanted Derrick to have this time with his family. In time, they would find him a body...but right now, it was Derrick. He shook his fur out a bit before Derrick wrapped him in a towel. He pressed against Derrick's hands as the other dried him.
"You know what they say," Jaime said. "The way to a man's heart is through his stomach," he said with a chuckle before being pushed back in the water. He swam to the other edge and pulled himself out, immediately wrapping a large towel around himself like a shawl as he shivered slightly.

Derrick was reassured by the lick, and smiled gratefully. When he'd finished, he scooped Dimitri up inside of the towel and cradled him. "I think we'll be happy here, Dim. As long as we've got each other, we could be happy anywhere..but all the same.." his eyes moved around the area and alighted on Maddix and Sorcia together, and Jaime and Darren so close. "I think this is a good place to be." Derrick glanced back down to Dimitri and brushed his thumb against the other's fur.
Darren chuckle, "Man? I hope you don't mean you, kid." he teased. As he saw the other shivered, he wrapped an arm around Jaime and one-armedly held the other close as he used his other hand to rub Jaime's skin through the towel to warm him.

Dimitri nodded in agreement. "As long as I'm with you, I'm happy," he said. "But...you have family that loves you and has welcomed you with open arms. You deserve that happiness," he said as he nuzzled against Derrick.
Jaime narrowed his eyes playfully. He was never good with comebacks. Instead, he just leaned into Darren's arm when the other wrapped his arm around him.

Derrick smiled as the other nuzzled against him. And his smile further warmed as the other continued. "As do you. And I'll do whatever it takes to make sure you're happy, Dimitri." he brushed his cheek against Dimitri's snout before heading to the food area. He set Dimitri on a chair for a moment before making himself a hamburger and then putting both a hamburger and a hot dog on a plate. Balancing them in one hand, he picked up Dimitri in his free arm and moved to the grass where Sorcia and Maddix were already sitting. He set Dimitri down and set Dimitri's food beside him, scratching Dimitri's ears as he picked up his own burger.
Maddix and Sorcia smiled as Derrick came closer and she waved. "Nice to know you take good care of Rowdy. I don't allow animal abuse in this house." she said sternly and playfully as she leaned against Maddix while eating.
Darren smiled as he led the other to the food area. "I'll make yours, Jam. Whadyou want?"

((Sorry...had to go make dinner, took longer than expected...lol))
Dimitri's mouth began to water as the smells from the grill wafted down to his nose. When Derrick set the plate down on the grass, he licked Dimitri's hand in thanks. Immediately, he began chowing down on the hamburger first, trying to take his time, though the flavors were so amazing. He only stopped for a moment when Sorcia talked so he could wag his tail, showing his agreement and appreciation for her care for animals.
Jaime wrapped his arms around Darren from behind, laying his cheek against the other's back. "Mayo, ketchup and pickles, please" he said, kissing the skin of Darren's back.

(*just got back from blockbuster* dun dun dun! Whadidja make?)
Derrick ate his burger contentedly, pausing to smile down at Dimitri as he brushed his hand against the other's back with a teasing smile as he said in a cooing puppy voice, "Good boy." Of course, Sorcia and Maddix wouldn't get the tease, since they thought Dimitri was just Rowdy. He glanced up in sudden thought as he rose, "One sec."
Derrick darted to Darren and Jaime, spoke for a moment, and then headed inside. He returned a few moments later with several water bottles which he passed around before sitting beside Dimitri with a bowl and a water bottle. He poured the bottle's contents in the bowl, "There ya go, Rowdy." Derrick smiled at him before picking up his hamburger as he began eating again.
Darren felt arms around him and intook a sharp breath as his back was kissed. "Jam..you're being very distracting." he said partially in amusement and partially in a tensed state due to a certain anatomy that was also being distracted by Jaime. Darren chuckled all the same as he set to work on the burger, pausing only to speak to Derrick when the other came up to ask about water. The other returned with water for Jaime and Darren, and then Maddix and Sorcia, and himself and Rowdy. Darren chuckled again, "He seems to be enjoying himself. Are you happy?"

((Cool beans. Rent anything good? I made pasta with marinara sauce and italian sausage biggrin ))
Dimitri growled playfully at the 'good boy' comment. Still, though, he pressed himself against Derrick's hand as the other pet him. He was a little confused when Derrick took off so suddenly, and looked curiously where he had run to. When the other returned with an armful of water, his curiousity was satisfied and his tail began to wag. "Thanks, D," he said before he happily began to lap up water.
"That's the point," Jaime grinned in response to Darren's first comment before going back to kissing the other's back. He stopped out of courtesy though when Derrick came up. "He does seem happy," Jaime agreed. "Which makes me happy, too. But as long as I have you...that's all the happy I'll ever need."

(A Love Song for Bobby Long- John Travolta and Scarlet Johannsen. AMAZING MOVIEEEEE. I've seen it, but I wanted mom and step dad to see it. *happynezz* we're finishing it up tomorrow. O-O that sounds yummy! *cough*SharingIsCaring*cough* ^__^)
Derrick watched Dimitri's tail wag and he chuckled, "Of course, couldn't letcha go thirsty."
Sorcia laughed, "It seems like he's talking back to you, with you talking to him and then him barking and growling. It's cute."
Darren bit his lower lip to keep from moaning as Jaime further distracted him. At that bit of speaking though, he couldn't help but turn around and catch Jaime in his arms, smiling down at the other. "You are amazing." he let his lips hover by Jaime's, "I love you," he said, before he claimed Jaime's lips in a possessive, loving kiss.
