Seto actually held his breath for a few seconds when Jounouchi finally entered the room. Upon hearing the man call out for him he had to bite back a chuckle. Luckily Seto had not suffered a brain aneurysm during his run, and thus was not inclined to shout out his location after clearly running away from this pursuer. He'd just stay where he was, breathe quietly, and try not to laugh aloud as Jounouchi stupidly poked his way around the room.

((The real reason he has a couch like that is JK was too lazy to map out the room to create a good hiding space - i.e. not just behind a curtain - that would logically just happen to be there. Creating an object was a lot less work, even if slightly less believable. xd ))

Seto wanted to protest the "ready or not" speech, this was not a game. He had serious work he needed to do, he just couldn't do it until he got away from Jounouchi. His heart rate was starting to calm down though, and as he felt a pressing urge to cough, he decided that as soon as Jounouchi got a little bit further into the far corner (which luckily was where he currently was maneuvering himself toward) he'd resume his escape. All he had to do is get back to his room and lock the door. Then he could retrieve his computer, lock himself in his bathroom, and just get some work done until Mokuba came home and guilted him out. He had places to hide his laptop in the bathroom too. He'd stay in his room, but that would probably be easier to break into (he wouldn't put it past the mongrel to be able to pick a lock) than his bathroom, which only had a deadbolt. Jounouchi would literally have to break the door down to get him there. That would at least take awhile.

Sorry I'm not getting to the other threads, just totally failing on my papers which I have less than 10 days to write. One is done, but I still have 2 to start. Figured I'd keep with the story and get to the rest when I have more hope/progress. This stupid egg hunt screwing with my OCD isn't helping either).

Jounouchi had made it as far as he possibly would and still remain in the room. Seto knew that if Jounouchi managed to figure out the couch before he attempted to run he'd not only be trapped, he'd be laughed at. That would be more than he could handle. He wished Jounouchi was still facing the other way, he wished his chest wasn't still aching. Damn injuries hindering his recovery time. Nothing he could do about it now. Gathering about as much of his energy reserves as possible, he rolled out from under the couch, leaped to his feet and ran out the door. He didn't listen to try and pick up what Jounouchi's response must have been to such an absurd sight, he just ran. Ran back to his room, his work. Ran almost as fast as he'd ever run in his life, as if his very life depended on it. He had to escape, he had to, his multi-billion dollar company was at stake here. Ok fine, mainly just his sanity, but that was almost as important.

He was only three corridors away, he could practically see the entrance to his chamber, when a stabbing pain hit him hard in the chest. No, he thought weakly, sinking to his knees. He was so close, he could almost taste his victory. Damn dead beat abusive fathers, damn generators, damn high security buildings that you can't exit without power. He could hear Jounouchi coming up behind him, but he couldn't force himself to focus on what the other man was shouting as he ran up. He was too busy trying not to black out from pain, and too busy wallowing in his own failure. There'd be no getting away from the pest now, he'd definitely not be getting any more work done today.

((Good luck to you! I got 1173 words of 4000 word paper number 2 (of 3) done today. Ugh. Meant to cap out at 1500 minimum, but I'll just push myself harder tomorrow. Yea hitting up the roleplay is kinda my minimum sanity quota as well.))

Seto didn't respond to what he did manage to catch of Jounouchi's tirade. He just winced, hissing slightly, as he was lifted up off the floor. Leaning more of his weight into Jounouchi than he was comfortable doing - though he didn't particularly have a choice in the matter as he was in too much pain to do otherwise at the moment - he allowed himself to be steered back into his room and into bed. Seto chuckled softly to himself, remembering Jounouchi swear it was his job to get the stubborn brunette into bed, and in the end he had. He honestly should be more disturbed by the fact that Jounouchi had beaten him at something, even if it was a trifling manner in which he had minimal control, but really he couldn't muster up the energy to care. He laughed again, imagining making another break for it as soon as he'd recovered a bit (not like Jounouchi was going to think to preemptively chain him to the bed or something right?). His babysitter was probably going to think he was nuts, laughing to himself once again unprompted. He didn't care, he probably was just a tad delirious.

((Well Jou did vow to get Seto into bed, wouldn't want him to break a promise now. xd ))

Seto most definitely did not want to deal with anymore doctors right now. Jumping out of bed he ran up behind Jounouchi before the other man had time to even notice the rustling of the sheets. Tripping over his own feet a bit meant he actually slammed against the other man, pressing him against the wall. Ignoring protests he re-pressed the button, which as Jounouchi's hand was still there, meant that is technically what he used to reach the button. Talking into the speaker he announced "I'm fine, just a minor spasm of pain, the mutt is overreacting, do not call a doctor." Releasing the button before Jounouchi could protest he yanked the blond back across the room with him, to keep him from negating his negation. his employ had better decide to acquiesce with Seto's final request and not the one before it, unless he wanted to be fired as soon as the CEO was well.

Seto climbed back in the bed, still pulling Jounouchi toward him, which he didn't particularly think about until he realized he'd pulled the other man into bed with him. Momentarily pretending not to know that he said, "I'm fine ok, just, this situation is ridiculous. It's funny. Next time I'll announce what I'm about to laugh at before doing so, though, that might be kind of crazy." Seto left his explanation at that, hoping that Jounouchi would move to a new topic, and preferably climb back out of Seto's bed on his own accord. Without drawing too much attention to the awkward scene, as he only now just realized he had practically dragged the other man into his lap. Whatever, he was ill right? That would of course account for his severe lack of judgment and normal regard for his own personal space.

Seto blushed slightly, as not only did Jounouchi not remove himself, he readjusted himself into a much more intimate position. Unable to bring himself into mentioning a situation his companion clearly hadn't noticed, he instead answered, "I didn't collapse, I just overexerted myself and needed to rest for a moment, that's hardly the same thing. As long as I'm conscious I will decide if I need to see another doctor, and I've decided that I do not."

Seto finished his rebuke, poking Jounouchi in the chest for good measure. He decided he'd wait about 5 more seconds for the blond to remove himself before he shoved the guy out of his lap.

Slight flush became a full-blown crimson glow as Seto was roughly shoved flat on his back, Jounouchi holding him down and hovering over him. Worst of all the idiot still seemed to have no idea how compromising the entire situation had to look. Unable to take the intimacy anymore, he finally cleared his throat and politely stuttered, "wh-what are you, yo-u do-ing?!?"
