You do have a point. (And damn, floating eggs, still going on??)
I do have a theory, however.
She is willing to fight Ryoko because Ryoko was the one who "ruined" her life in her views: EG, caused the disappearance of her brother, etc.
Aeka, I think, really has abandoment issues. >___> But then again, they all have baggage. They all need a good psychoanalist. XD

Oh I'm not about to say that Ayeka's hatred towards Ryoko is completely unfounded, that's why I didn't put that on there. Ayeka has some VERY reasonable reasons for doing what she did. Although hilarious enough technically Ayeka DID degrade herself to the level of a criminal when she went after Ryoko after the expiration date on her crimes expired.... twisted
Think about it...Ayeka is technically a criminal since she attacked Ryoko without provocation, as the stature of limitations had already passed. whee twisted

Well, yeah Ayeka is technically a criminal due to that, but if I were her I'd be damn well mad enough to attack Ryoko no matter what. XD I mean, she was an infamous space pirate who not only attacked Jurai and caused Ayeka's love interest to flee the planet, but Ryoko also destroyed Ayeka's favorite garden. ^_^'
But I see what you mean. It is true that Ayeka always gets on to Ryoko for her manners while in the process becoming rude herself. XD In fact, the only time Ayeka acts hypocritically is when she is badmouthing Ryoko or fighting Ryoko etc. But then, I suppose she thinks it's justified since she doesn't really know of any other way to deal with Ryoko. o_O It is true that Ayeka has been taught properness, or whatever, and Ryoko is in fact still maturing as a person, but I suppose both Ryoko and Ayeka bring out the worst in each other. I would actually be rather dissapointed in Ayeka if she just sat there like a lady and took what Ryoko threw at her.

[that, and she can fly. Anyone who can fly is really cool. What I think is interesting about Ryoko is that she said, though it may be translated incorrectly or something, that she does not regret anything that she has done. Which means, even though she could be sorry for what she did - who knows if she is or not - that she has learned to move on. Aeka, I think, needs to learn to move on. Though, I do think that she has genuine feelings for Tenchi, I feel she is still projecting her old life on to her new. Hah, as for their fighting, I kind of see it more like sibling rivalry. ^____^
