My band raincoat looked like a cult hood, so my friends and I gathered in a circle with two people in the center and we all put our hoods down as we circled around them and chanted, “SACRIFICE! SACRIFICE!”

After we chanted sacrifice, we all horded in a random circle around our band director, and named ourselves “The Brethren of the Birch”. We ominously circled him for several minutes and repeatedly chanted, “BIRCH!!” as we bowed our heads inward to him.

Our band director escaped last minute, and The Brethren of the Birch raced after him. He began laughing, and lead us down the halls. Then, by his suggestion, we began chanting in low, perfectly in-sync voices, “OWEEO!!” to recreate the scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, and he lead us through the band room, into the practice rooms where we maintained a perfect single-file line and marched in-sync to add effect, still chanting. Our director lead us through the choir room doors, and out to the halls outside where finally, we left the confines of the building and entered the public, outter world.

Suddenly, our director bolted straight for the door, went inside the building, and slammed it shut, locking us out, then laughed evilly.

But we had to finish what we began. We got into our single line again, pulled up our hoods, and chanted, “OWEEO!!” in public down the sidewalks as cars drove mere feet away from us. And suddenly, we came across the principal of the school. But as if we never knew she was there, we marched straight past her still ominously chanting, “OWEEO!!” The colorguard held open the doors for us, and at last, we entered the commons of the school, and gathered in one final circle and threw off our hoods and raincoats, and laughed. We had to get ready for the football game after that, but the cult shall rise again.

I just had 2 consecutive marching competitions from 10 AM to 1 AM, I haven't been able to shower since Thursday, I had to preform at a football game while it was raining on Friday, and I'm still coughing. But at least I got my fat Darth (Bean) Vader Tsum Tsum to make me smile and laugh, and I literally can't stop hugging him. He's perfect in every way. I have never seen anything more adorable!!!!!! blaugh

So I had to write a hero-journey story based on a real-life event that occurred to me. So I wrote about how I realized I was transgender. But it's bringing up a LOT of bad memories, of all the bullying I'd experienced as a little kid, and all the emotional abuse my classmates put me through. It's reminding me of all the hell I had to deal with of being boyish, and all the times people threw granola bar in my hair or MnMs at me. Of all the times I was put down emotionally and all the times I cried over being who I am. Of all the times I was excluded in groups and chosen last or left as the only one to work alone because nobody wanted to talk with me. Of all the times people said they didn't want to be my friend...

Before I began writing this, I agreed I'd start trying to move on from all of this. This is literally a life narrative that has slowly been coming to an end. It's spanned my whole school experience from kindergarten to today, and is still a work in progress. Once I graduated middle school and moved on to high school, I moved on completely and told myself that I'd try and make it better. I'd just stop thinking so much about what had happened, and focus instead on what is to come because there was no point in holding onto negativity, and high school was going to be my fresh start which it was and turned out FAR better than middle school in EVERY way. People change. I know they do. A lot of those people became really nice to me, and cared about me, and turned around 1500% and some even became really good friends. But the fact that writing this narrative is bringing up so many bad times, I just feel like writing it was a mistake in every way. It isn't ok. I'm going to have to keep moving on once I'm done writing the story. But I just feel so negative when I try writing it.

I want to hug all my friends, and all the people who used to be mean to me but now genuinely care for me so tightly, and tell them how thankful I am that they are my friends and thank them for being nice to me and supporting me. I want to tell them how good of people they truly are, and how kind they turned out to be. I want them to know who they are now, and I want them to know how much they truly mean to me. I love them. I love all of them. Honestly. They're fantastic and amazing, and my life is so full of amazing people. There are only a select 3 people who I can name that I'll never try mending things with, but the others mended their relations so peacefully, and I'm just so happy. Everyone is amazing. I love them. I love them. I love them.

I woke up this morning, and I'm feeling a ton better today. No coughing, and pretty much no congestion! I haven't had to blow my nose yet, either. I got plenty of sleep and slept off a good portion of my sickness. I feel amazing. So much better than I've felt for the past week!

Damn these legs to hell where they belong. I literally can't stand today. I tried standing, and my legs ache so much that I fell on the couch seconds later. I put on some cream that usually helps, but it didn't do enough and so I took some painkillers that should do something. But I can't be on my feet for more than about two minutes or three minutes at a time for today. I'm in so much pain right now...

I took the painkillers, and I'm walking now. It still hurts some, but I'm good. I can stand for several minutes now as well. I'm just going to wait until tomorrow to go on any long walks.

Write a 5-page story she said.
25 pages and tons of tears later...

So my friend who speaks Spanish got a new mic, and he said for people to send in things for him to record himself saying them.

I said for him to say the longest town name:
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch

It was ******** hilarious!!!

Then, someone sent him THE ENTIRE PACER TEST PASSAGE, AND TOLD HIM TO SAY IT AND HE DID!!!

This is beautiful. I love tonight. Tonight is great.

I think this school is cursed. Last year, the band got stuck outside in 20 degrees with no sun, snd encountered technical difficulties, so we stood there forced to hold our instruments for 8-10 minutes even though hands were legitimately freezing to the instruments. Tonight, we were the last competing band, and it was cold and raining like hell, and we had no time to change so we had to stay in our cold wet uniforms for over an hour, unable to buy food or drinks and we were all cranky and hungry. We got 3rd place...

third place better than no place?
Started working today, was just learning what I was likely going to be doing.
Data entry and slipping and falling into a creek gracefully and saving the expensive equipment, phytoplankton study helped me a lot on that. (Afraid to tell the primary investigator how many times I almost dropped the salinometer)
I need to get an actual pair of muck boots, my shoes are still kinda wet.
Edit- actually, looking at the price of muck boots, it might be better and easier for me to bring along some flip flops, for until later, maybe I can do the summer projects again.
