((Actually... looking at my new signature, it seems to match our roleplay more than the other one for some reason... Heh. Talk about irrelevant... ))
Malik accepted the hug willingly, (hell he practically jumped on Jounouchi once he felt his hands around his neck) and wrapped his own arms around Jounouchi's bare waist. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He didn't deserve to be forgiven... and yet... the words touched him like the first beam of sunlight against your cold skin after a rainy day, words of hope, words of comfort.
He couldn't gather a reply, his heart throbbed hard against his throat and he couldn't seem to manage words, instead he let the tears trickle down his cheeks, and he lifted his head a bit, so the bangs fell to the side and those soggy lavender eyes were revealed.
"... I need you... " Was all he could manage to gasp, those three words that had been dormant in his heart for so long. He had always felt so alone in his life... and nobody was ever there for him. But now... holding Jounouchi tight to him... it felt safe. It finally felt... right.
((Ra, listening to Nightwish doesn't unemofy this at all. Is that even a word?))
((But, I think I really do make Malik cry too much! D: )

((Haha, what are you talking about? We *totally* had our character seductively sharing an ice cone ALL THE TIME in this RP! X3 Ah, but your response was so much more adorable than mine. <3))
Jounouchi stared down at Malik, "You... need me...?" he repeated the words. He had to. They were too good of words not to hear again. Ever since he could remember he had always wanted to be needed, to be wanted, to be useful... He always did his best to do things for his friends and loved ones, but they never really *needed* him, did they? In all honesty, Jounouchi had needed them instead. Every day in his life without Shizuka had been hell, but she had done just fine without him. Yuugi seemed weak, but in reality he was what held their group of friends together, and he was the one who saved Jounouchi. Honda was the same; he had helped get Jounouchi out of that hell-hole of a gang life. Honda had changed Jounouchi's way of life, Yuugi had changed Jounouchi's heart. And Anzu and Bakura and Otogi... they had all helped him too, but none of them needed him... he needed all of them instead... so finally, to hear someone say they needed him, someone who was afraid and tired, and who hated themself, he could finally repay his debt to all of his loved ones by being there for that someone.
Jounouchi closed his eyes, trying to keep a tear from going down his face, "I'm... glad..." he whispered, "I... promise I will always be there for you..." he finally said, continueing to hold onto Malik in a caring way, "I will protect you..."
((I love Nightwish! X3 And unemofy should totally be a word if it isn't!
And I like crybaby Malik. ^^ <3))

Malik nodded, letting his tears roll down Jounouchi's back, " That's good... " He held the other tight to him. Nobody was ever there for him... but now... Jounouchi promised he'd be here. And even though they really didn't know each other, it felt as though he'd be safe with Jounouchi - it felt as if he knew him for a long time.
Nobody had EVER been there for him. So Malik had always, even as a child convinced himself that he didn't need anybody. That's how it happened. That's how Yami no Malik was born. He longed to be someone else, someone strong who could rid off his enemies without needing anybody else aid. Once he had received the initiation, he knew he wasn't even safe with his own family. Rishid had lied to him - his father caused him so much pain - his mother left him before he could even meet her... and so, he created an evil demon in his mind that fed off of his sinful thoughts and hatred for his family, and in turn tried to destroy him, rather then protect him.
And now... the demon was back, haunting his nearly cleansed soul, causing him to feel these terrible thoughts once more. And here was Jounouchi, somebody finally here to protect him from that demon which he had created... from himself.
"I-I'm glad also..." The Egyptian said softly, gripping the other's back tightly and longingly, letting his head rest on the other's shoulder.
((Seriously? Nightwish is the best! *listening to Forever Yours and Sleeping Sun* I swear half of their songs should just be Malik's theme songs or something... I wish Yuugiou had background music like that for Battle City, with the guitars and the mystical-ness. It's so dang fitting!))

Jououchi kept his eyes closed, just sitting there holding Malik close. It was all he could do. All he could think of to comfort the other. So he just remained quiet, deciding that everything they needed to discuss could wait. Right now all that mattered was helping Malik feel better. Jounouchi couldn't figure out why but, that was what was the most important to him at the moment.

".... do you think..." Malik stuttered, pressing softly against Jounouchi's warm skin like a cat claiming it's loyalty to a loved one, "Do you think it was really me who hurt you?"

Jounouchi paushed, "Or... you might have just been completely controlled... or it could've never actually happened, and just been a false memory." he nodded, "There are so many different things that could've happened. You can't blame yourself right away." he smiled, patting Malik on the shoulder.

((Why does it seem like this scene takes place at night? It's morning right? O_O))

"Jounouchi..." Malik said thoughtfully, leaning against Jounouchi's shoulder, and putting an arm around his waist. "Maybe I could stay at your place. I bet you have a really nice house with a white fence and a puppy... and your dad is a business guy, and your mom cooks for you and your sister. It'd be nice to live with a real family... maybe he'd stop haunting me"
((His logic is a bit off... -.- ))
((Hmm... I think I gotta stop listening to Nightwish. Give me some Morningwish, and I'm all set.))
