Masato came back with the Side Basshar as he transformed both himself the his vehicle to Battle mode, he then launched sidewinder/ micro missiles as they did some damage to the school while aiming at the group, but his reasons for doing so was either strange or random due to the fact that he did it without warning as he mainly wanted to destroy one of them.

He didn't wait for an answer for them after the smoke cleared out, Masato simply started to fire more missiles again as he added laser fire following it, and had Side Basshar charged through them as it clears out a path and anything that was it his way.

Looking up to the sky due to William's hold on him, he saw what he thought to be an angel on a cloud as the hold pulled him back to reality, and so flips the blaygun backward to shoot William at point blank range to push him off.
