Taiki walked into the academy thinking that there would be other students around

XXXXX Hikaru was walking into his classroom in the mist academy he had alot to learn before graduating to become a genin he needed to train train train. He hated that part but he had to put in the effort to get the results so he had no other option. Complaining was passive. He hates to read he hated to put in the determination to pass but he wants it so much. Hikaru walked to his seat waiting for his teacher to come. He was wondering who his teacher would be since he was fairly new to the academy he was homeschooled (Maybe?) Anyway, he just wanted to know if he could pass or not cause he was getting tired of waiting around for nothing...

Rini slipped into the room behind Hikaru, a thick book clutched to her chest. Her eyes darted about the room, taking in its occupants as she hurried to an empty desk. There, she sank into a chair, pulled open the book to her place -- marked by a bright red string -- and practically buried her nose in it, practically soaking in the information on the complex anatomy of canines. She had not quite gotten to humans yet, deciding it was best to work her way up to that. Rini knew she was nowhere close to being able to practically apply any of the information she had read about, but it could not hurt in her eyes to have a little jump start. That way, if someone decided to take her under their wing, she would not be totally lost in a sea of medical jargon.

Rini glanced up as Hya entered, watching him anxiously. A faint blush touched her cheeks and she ducked her head at the comment about medical shinobi, resisting the urge to return to reading her book. She forced herself to close it instead as the man began to write on the board the names of the three basic jutsu every ninja should know. Rini had read about them thoroughly, but seeing them done close-up was very different. If she did not know any better, she would have sworn that the Mizukage was indeed standing at the head of the classroom.

The girl shifted slightly in her chair, moving her hands slowly through the signs she had seen Hya use and mouthing their names to herself. The signs were easy, it was the manipulation of the chakra properly that was hard. After a moment's hesitation, Rini slowly raised her hand. "Um, sir? Could you show us again, please?" she asked shyly.

Watching him intently, Rini ran through the handsigns in tandem with Hya, chewing on the inside of her lower lip in concentration. He was right; they were very simple. Once she had them down, she focused on the flow of her chakra through each of the signs, grateful for her time that she had started taking to meditate lately. After a few minutes, she took a deep breath and rose from her chair.

Closing her eyes, she formed the image of Hya -- their instructor -- in her mind. When she deemed it satisfactory -- or she hoped it was such -- she moved carefully and deliberately through each sign, focusing her chakra into them. "Henge," she stated firmly, feeling her chakra flare as a cloud of smoke enveloped her. Rini remained still as the smoke cleared, hoping that her attempt was good enough to pass.

Resisting the urge to blush, Rini released the jutsu, allowing the illusion to evaporate into smoke and folding her hands behind her back -- playing nervously with the ends of her hair. "Thank you. I'm -ah- ready when you are." The girl smiled weakly, trying to mentally boost her confidence a little. She had done well with the first justu -- had even gained a bit of praise from her teacher. She could do this! She could pass and become a real shinobi -- take her first step on the path of a medic-nin!

Rini committed the hand signs to memory as Hya showed them to her, blinking jerking slightly in surprise when he suddenly bolted through them and created the clone. She glanced between the two men standing in the front of the room -- one real and one not. After a moment, she asked slowly, "How much chakra is the right amount? Too little or too much would probably ruin the clone, right? So, how do you know how much is the right amount?"

The girl licked her lips nervously. This was the hardest of the three, he had said, so it was probably not expected for her to get it right on the first try, but still . . . she did not want to make a fool of herself and create some pathetic-looking clone. She was striving to be a medic. Mistakes in the medical field were unacceptable. They could mean the difference between life and death.

Rini looked between the two men, doubt starting to creep into her thoughts. Which one was the real one again? She remembered which one appeared in the smoke, but . . . she did not think normal clones could talk! Was her research wrong? Had she missed something? Her eyes darted to the board. The third jutsu was the replacement jutsu -- had he swapped places to confuse her? Rini shook herself, frowning inwardly. He had just told her not to over think everything, and there she was -- over thinking the situation. Be sure to focus, he had said. Focus.

The girl closed her eyes, breathing carefully. Focus. Clasping her hands together in the tiger sign -- the one she used during meditation -- Rini focused on her chakra. Three seconds. For three seconds, she siphoned a steady flow of controlled chakra from her reserves, cutting it off once the three seconds were up but not forcing it into any jutsu -- just letting it hover apart from the rest. Three seconds worth of chakra -- she memorized the amount before letting it drift back into her reserves. She would not always have three seconds to draw it out, after all.

Taking a deep breath, Rini released her hands from the tiger seal and stretched her fingers. Relax and focus. She let the breath out, moving her hands through the sequence of signs and pulling out that three seconds worth of chakra, molding it carefully and pushing it out into the jutsu. "Bunshin no Jutsu."
