Teen Titans: Back to School

Metara shook her head. "No. For all I know, you won't be here next here and you'll never get the punishment you deserve. Who already gave you detention? Maybe I can give you lunch detention." She was surprised that Emerald had landed herself in this much trouble on only her first day. Oh well, she didn't expect much of the students.

Voila watched. Talking about detention was dull, unless you were complaining about it, but it beat the lectures on math.

Azar definitely didn't want to read aloud. However, there was a chance that it would shut the voice in his mind out for some time. So he rose his hand and prayed that he wouldn't become a teacher's pet. All this participation would mean he would have to play pranks later.

Emerald mumbled in her seat. She put her head on her desk and was startled by a girl her age infront of her. Her face was pale. She looked up at the girl puzzled. The dead girl leaned into Emerald's ears and wispered. "Ask the teacher." Emerald looked confused and noticed the girl gone. Emerald raised her hand. "what am I doing raising my hand...I dont even know what to ask?" Emerald stil, for some reason had her hand up high.

Maya shrunk low in her seat. She tried to get all distractions out of her mind. She had to pass school...she had to.  

[Spider-Robin]

'Get going kid with the hand up. Start on page two' he added leaning back on his desk lazily. He wanted the atmopshere in the class to be relaxed and not so uptight. He knew the stirct bond the school had and he was just letting the kids feel a little more adult.

((I know. I posted that Metara called on Min to pass out the books since she was raising her hand. Sorry if it was confusing.))

Metara glanced at Min and pointed at the books. "Go ahead and pass them out." Her eyes then turned to Emerald. "Yes?" She asked, hoping that this wouldn't be something stupid.

Voila tilted her head in curiousity. What could Emerald want to ask their teacher? Certainly this wouldn't be a math-related question.

Azar flicked to the second page in the book and began to read from the literature. To his relief, the voice in his head quietened down after a few futile attempts to get Azar to listen and stop reading. In a way, it was relaxing to just read the words aloud without any words from the demonic voice.  

[Spider-Robin]

Wes sat back and listened intently scanning the class for he next wanted to read. His aim was clearly to imrpove confidcne and see where child was with their reading skills. Though he to be very careful about his attiude towards the Titans. The misson was risky and thats why he'd been sent in.

Min didnt know what she meant but she thought it had something to do with those books. She walked up and took them. She had passed out books at her old school...if thats what the teaher wanted from her. She gave one to a student in the front row and looked at Mrs. Metara for satisfaction....well more of confermation.


Maddie blu a bubble with her gum. POP!

For a second, Metara wondered why Min had paused in passing out the books before remembering what she had been told. A foreign exchange student.. Metara nodded her head at Min, in obvious approval of what she was doing.

Azar held in a laugh at the loud popping sound from the gum. He didn't pause in his reading. So far his reading had been going good and a part of Azar settled down. He actually didn't feel that bad right now. Maybe it was because the demon was leaving him alone.

Emerald studdered. "Um, could I talk to you after class...." Her eyes shifted to look at all her classmates quickly than looked at her desk.

Maya giggled softly at the 'pop' bubble. She looked up at the teacher and quickly looked down at the text book.

Maddie smiled and went back to what she was doing.


Seeing her nod she continued to pass out books to every one. When she got to her desk there were no more. "uh Miss Metara. Ters not enuf."

Wes stepped a crumpled tissue on his hand and a look of displeasure on his face. He looked down at Maddie his eyes stenr and focused. 'Ok gum girl spit it out and you can take other from the reading' he voice had severly changed and was firm and lifeless.

"Ok " she said spitting it out into a napkin. She didnt want to get in trouble for stikking it under her desk.

Maya glanced up at the clock. She could move the clock to be end of class but she didnt want to get in trouble or worse loose control of them. She was starting to get a headache. She moved her hands to her temples and did a slight moan.  

[Spider-Robin]

Toby wacthed the incident between the two carefully. He cuatiouly glanced at the others in the group. He knew he shouldn't base his assumptions on looks but this was just a pelimanry research tatic. These had to be sorted out soon or else.

'Ok now starting reading' Wes added flining the napking into the bin. 'And if I ever cacth you chewing gum again you can scrap the tables of all the other gun chewers' Wes added harshly as he took a seat on his desktop again.
