Suddenly, all manner of roots and vines would appear from beneath Lars' feet that would quickly attempt to pin him to the ground if he didn't react quickly to them. While he would be busy dealing with the roots, Haruko prepared her next attack. Clasping her hands together, she would create a large wooden dragon which would erupt from the ground directly infront of her and charge towards Lars' also attempting to constrict him as he dealt with the vines.
Mokuton: Mokuryū no Jutsu [Wood Dragon Technique] After performing the required hand seals, the user creates a gigantic wooden dragon from any surface, which is then directed to attack an intended target. Its shape closely resembles a Chinese dragon, though with a short trunk-like nose, having an elongated and serpentine body, which can be used to constrict larger opponents. It also has the ability to absorb a tailed beast's chakra once it is bound. Since it is animated, it essentially has a mind of its own.
Wood Release: Underground Roots Technique A simple technique, where instead of growing a tree, you simply grow roots and vines to grab and slow opponents. The vines can also be used to wield weapons. They can also be used pull the user underground with great speed.

Lars noticed a large amount of chakra gathering as he bowed for her to begin. Just as she dropped to one knee and pressed her palm to the ground to sprout forth the roots, he took multiple strides forward, being quick to avoid the roots. His index and middle fingers turned sharp, as sharp as an s-rank blade. He jumps high and lands on the Wooden Dragon's back, running along while keeping focused. As he had reached the end of the Dragon and neared Haruko, he thrusted his two fingers forward, having them extend and stab through her shoulders, attempting to render her arms immobile.
#2 - Craft | Passive Lars can mold his flesh into weaponry like claws or a short sword for battle, this weaponry can have specific pieces shifted for better effects (i.e. sudden jagged edge to a blade, extended blade or pole length, whip gains thorns). D would be something around a knife or a shank, something S-rank would be a claymore or a huge club. Only one item can be made at a time, if destroyed, more flesh can be expelled to create another weapon but only after two posts of cooldown.
xxxxxAs was to be expected by a Sannin, Haruko watched as Lars batted away both of her attacks with rather ease. What was odd however was that his hand appeared to have become a weapon, instead of him having to draw one. It was a major advantage for him, but in the end, he faced a Weapons Master, and would find close range fighting difficult. As Lars extended his arm to strike her, she would simply draw her rapier with amazing speed, knocking away his hand before aiming her own strike at his shoulders. As the blade neared its target, she pressed a button hidden on the hilt of her weapon, causing the tip of the weapon to extended another 6 inches almost instantly. With the speed Lars had charged in with, it would be all but impossible to dodge the strike.

A small button hidden under the hand guard allows the blade to shoot out, extending an extra 6 inches. It rapidly shoots out while the button is depressed and then retracts once the button is released. This ability to extend and retract makes it difficult to gauge the weapons real length in battle.

Lars needed to act quick, he formed a single handseal using his other hand as he came in. He stopped in his tracks, the blade was rammed through him and black blood sprayed everywhere. He stood there as his fingers retracted back. He fell to his knees.
"Impressive, you managed to put me into a tight spot," the voice came from behind Haruko.
He wraps an arm around her and leans his head in as the shadowy figure disappears, collapsing into the floor and then dissolving. What had happened, in slow motion, was that Lars slipped into a different realm as his attack failed and he was mere seconds away from being stabbed. From there, the shadow absorbed the attack and Lars returned behind Haruko. A better form of substitution.
#8 - I Know You | S Lars can make his shadow take the place of receiving an attack, taking all of the damage that post. The real Lars shifts with the shadow near instantaneously and hides within the reverse world, a realm deemed to be the polar opposite of our own. While within this realm, Lars cannot fight and neither can his shadow, all it can do is take and absorb attacks. Every post that the shadow remains in the regular realm, Lars must expel the same amount of chakra. This technique can only be used three times during any battle situation and if Lars is unable to expend the chakra to keep the shadow in the regular world, Lars will be ripped out of the reverse world by force and switched out with his shadow.
xxxxxA smile spread across Haruko's face as she saw her blade plunge into Lars' shoulder, which quickly turned to shock as she saw him fizzle away and appear behind her. With him behind her, she knew she had little chance to spin around and attack him before he could attack and instead sheathed her blade, a sign that the battle was over."You are nothing short of what I would expect from a Sannin. Any lesser shinobi would have been impaled by that attack. Sadly, I concede victory to you. As payment for you win... How does ramen sound?"

Lars then pulls himself away from her and chuckles, rubbing the back of his head, "excellent job with the use of Mokuton, you definitely backed me into a corner, your sword skills are something worthy of Sannin rank as well!" He moves over to her and gestures to follow him to Ichirakus for a quick bowl,
"hehe, ramen sounds perfect. It'll be on me."
He only hoped that they had a beef bowl waiting for him.
Yumi didn't feel he had the perfect defense. Just a darn good one when it came to Taijutsu and close combat; it further helped that, unlike most Uchiha, he utilized his Sharingan very scarcely and worked on increasing his natural eyes to their highest level of perception through the various Taijutsu-styles he has learned and mastereed. For should you see Yumi reveal his Sharingan, you were either going to burn until there not be a corpse to bury or have your mind turned to mush.
As Shikayumi reset after Yumi forced her to create distance between them, he returned to his pose as he kept his focus on her. Silent, but quite attentive to his student's concerns. "He has? For you to sound this... violated about it, I assume the both of you had some form of romantic involvement?" Yumi inquired softly as he saw Shikayumi looking at his stance and the gears shifting in ways to bring him out of his comfort zone. He was glad that she was taking the aggressive point of the fight. Even upon fighting a strong opponent, she continued to reset, access, then put forth that which she believed would make for a better outcome than the last. Classic Nara. Sadly though the end result was more open than he liked. He would have to definitely increase her close combat training some.
This time, Yumi saw her attempt to take a stab at him with her kunai-wielding hand in the form of a jab as Yumi's eyes fell a little as if disappointed. The maneuver Yumi replied with was just as calm, if not even more so fluid, than hiz last defensive maneuver. With his leading left hand, Yumi would open-palm block her jabbing strike just as he side-stepped stepped further to the outside of her arm and let the jab past him. Simultaneously, with the hand he open-palm blocked her, would he this time attempt to make a grasp at her wrist. Given the swiftness of his block and the severe lack of distance required to take a grasp at her wrist, it would be exceptionally difficult to bring the jab back before it gets enveloped by his large hand.
Should he succeed, that large hand would captivate her wrist and the flick, as if turning the knob of a door to bring her to a discomforting wrist lock. Then utilizing her momentum from the stab, he would yank her further in the direction she went to bring her more off balance, then twist her wrist to the outside of itself in attempt to make her stumble a bit to compensate for the wrist-joint lock he would have her in.
From the lock would be a swift but "gentle", kick into the bend of her leg to bring her down to one knee whilst keeping her wrist-locked until she dropped the kunai. Of course if he did not manage to grab her wrist Yumi would do the same block and positioning from before, but actually step towards Shikayumi. As the force of his block would send the jab once more to the side, the simultaneous movement of Yumi moving forward and passing Shikyami would seem weird until, once again, a swift kick would be made to the bend of the knee while a strong grab of the back of her collar would be made to send her straight upon her rear. "Never jab in such a manner Shikayumi. At least not as your opening move. Upon a regular citizen it may work, but even then the move is too forward." Yumi would, depending on which act provided the closest outcome, take Shikayumi's kunai wielding hand and switched the kunai in an reverse-grip; or rather when the blade is pointed in-instead of out. "If you are to utilize basic strikes, having the blade pointed inwards creates a much more difficult way for your opponent to reverse than the method you attempted."
Passives: ♛ Tank 'Classed': Through the hard training that they have gone through, and mastery of it, the master has an enormous body. Making physical attacks towards them [1.25] ranks lower. For every rank below the user at this level, it will decrease by a fifth.
♛ Fists of a One Man Army: The user's fists after training have gotten thicker and harder like bronze. Making Taijutsu strikes with their fist be [+1.25] ranks higher than their own.
♛ Second Wind: The user's stamina has gotten to the point, that it is harder to make them fall down, and stay down. If the attacks are lethal (such as being stabbed or etc.) the user gets a moment of 'Second Wind' and feels more refreshed. [ Add 10 Chakra points upon taking a physical hit C-rank and higher.

Shikayumi lunged forth as she heard her Sensei's rebuttal. Her eyes widened in a mild state of shock, as if Yumi knew that she was starting to care about Hiruma. "He was a member of my squad, it's my duty to care for him. Same goes for Michael." She responded loosely just before Yumi latched onto her wrist.
"He diverted the flow of my energy to his advantage. Wouldn't expect any less from Sensei," Shikayumi thought as Yumi twisted her wrist to his whim; forcing her to drop to one knee so he could critique her technique even further. Although it seemed like she was constantly failing, she was learning so much from her mistakes, and she admired her Sensei for every bit of it.
Once Yumi finished his lecture Shikayumi would acknowledge her teacher with a simple nod due to the stressing pain in her wrist. However, in the time it took her to get caught, she had already began piecing together a new plan. With her wrist being locked, her grip on the tagged kunai began to loosen up significantly as she was forced to drop it. Using her free hand, Shikayumi would catch the tagged kunai, and re-divert it into Yumi's shadow at point blank.
If this were to succeed, Yumi would find himself bound to the location of his shadow; allowing Shikayumi a smooth escape. However, if Yumi were to grab for the falling kunai, it would allow Shikayumi to return to the offensive while her teacher's attention was focused on the tagged kunai. Either way, it was a move that would free up Shikayumi to continue the fight.

Yumi noticed the surprised look to his earlier insinuation that the man was a little more than just a "friend". It was not like he did not hear the male's advances in the past when he was around. He could understand why there may be more emotions than just a simple team mate. "Do not play coy Shikayumi... The way you... got so flustered by my insinuation in addition to how you two acted beforehand, leads me to think there was more than just believing you two are simply comrades." Yumi responded as he would keep her gained wrist under control. He wouldn't twist more than he had to. He wasn't here to harm his student. Simply he just added enough pressure to keep her held down.
The comments Yumi made, weren't to point out her flaws but mostly to give her improvements to her close combat technique. She was doing quite well truth be told, simply he was wanting her to get even better. After all, in a real battle, there would not be any allowance of tips to be given from an opponent.
But it seemed his advantage brought an window of opportunity for Shikayumi ;at the very least she would think. As the kunai dropped and seeing her attention focused on it, Yumi could only assume it was another one of those Nara-tagged kunai. A kunai that indefinitely would bring him trouble. This left him with a couple courses of action. Intensify the joint lock on Shikayumi to keep her in place and let the kunai fall. Which would, essentially lead to a deadlock even though Yumi could break free from the kunai through raw power; but for him to have to utilize that level of technique he'd give his student the emergence of at least a draw . The second option would be to keep the lock and deliver a low kick to an attempt to simultaneously kick away the kunai and put her in more of a intense version of the joint lock. The second option seemed the most probable, as the kunai seemed like a regular kunai up until it touched his shadow. It as all timing from her on.
With his decision made, Yumi would act quickly as the kunai fell. First would be increasing the pressure on the joint lock on Shikayumi which would make her attempt of grabbing the kunai more painful to her joints if not making the possibility of breaking her own wrist. Then with the foot closest to the dropping kunai, Yumi would utilize the precision of his eyes and the speed of his kicks to smack the side of the kunai to send it away with the flat portion of his foot. Should he miss, at the very least, he still had his opponent locked down. "How about we call this a draw and I get you something to eat, hmm?" Yumi asked softly with a friendly smile regardless of the outcome.

I may have felt something for Hiruma, but Hiruma is not real." Shikayumi could feel the grip tighten on her wrist to a state of pain that was even uncomfortable for medics. However, her training as a medic made her a tad more resilient to crippling bones, and strengthened her threshold even.
However, this match would have been over one way or another. As a Nara, each member of the clan followed a different tactical advance. Shikayumi's strategy was always "dividing focus." Most shinobi only have two eyes, and others have two eyes with inclined prowess. By pulling the enemies focus into separate directions Shikayumi flt she could make her opponent vulnerable. However, against her Teacher and Hokage sh really didn't expect to fool him, it was just a way to test her skill.
With Yumi's focus divided between Shikayumi's locked wrist, and the tagged kunai that laid in the balance, she would now add a third factor to the equation. Since the strain on her wrist placed her into a critical state where she couldn't reach the tagged kunai with her free hand, she instead made a hand sign. A little shaky under the strain on her body, but from what Yumi could tell it was like pseudo Nara hand sign that doesn't really exist; just another thing for her opponent to ponder over.
As Yumi's foot pushed the tag away, and offered Shikayumi an invitation to dinner he would feel a the strange restrictions of the Nara jutsu. "I'm sorry to have stooped so low, Sensei, but you forced my hand." She didn't move from her spot, but if it worked she would feel the pressure on her wrist to lighten up. "You were so adamant on keeping control of my wrist that it was my window of opportunity. This was my secret technique, the one I learned to survived the Chunin exams; thank you Yumi sensei." She was using the shadow contact jutsu, a jutsu that uses no handsigns, and merely required two touching objects. Shikayumi learned it after taking Yumi's advice prior to the exams.
All in all, she just wanted to show her teacher how much she had improved, and maybe even gain his acceptance as a shinobi. She would use the shadow contact only briefly before letting it go. She would nod towards Yumi; rather anxious to get something to eat...plus her arm was really sore.

Yuurei Rank: Genin Chakra: 195 [120 Two Tailed Reserve] Stats: 3/4 Class: Ninjutsu [Quick post before work.]
"Oh this better be the right way." Yuurei said as he maneuvered around the undergrowth of the forest. He had made his way here to tighten up on some of his hard skills and didnt want to get lost. The young genin for the most part had a rather good sense of direction and hardly foung himself lost. Call it a gift or call it whatever either way that left him though still making his way through the tangled bushes of the forest. He thought he could take a shortcut and if it weren't for the overly lithe way the young kid moved it would have been much slower going. Brushing through some of the thorn bushes he leapt to another tree and continued on his way. Sooner rather than later he made his way to the grounds. Emerging from behind a small bush near an opening he could hear others here at the grounds but was in a secluded spot and couldnt see anyone. Liking the fact that there wasn't anyone in his immediate vicinity he settled down to begin the learning curve.
Removing a scroll of Katon jutsus he started with the Katon: Ichi (Fire Release: One) technique. Concentrating on his chakra he focused it into his hand. When his index finger began to shimmer with heat he knew he mastered the move/ [1/1 Katon: Ichi (Fire Release: One) learned]
Next was the Katon: Shoumeidan no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flare Technique). Utilizing the same method to channel chakra he then brought it into his chest and exhaled. A brief flame but a strong flash of light resulted. [1/1 Katon: Shoumeidan no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flare Technique) learned]
Katon: Shuriken no Jutsu (Fire Release: Shuriken Technique) was next and Yuurei was already pulling a shuriken from his pocket. Bringing his chakra into hsi fingers he watched a pale blue fire cover the shuriken. Next came Solar Flare Katon: Fukumen no Jutsu (Fire Release: Veil Technique). Clapping his hands together he brought chakra together with a slight pop. A brief flash lit up that would allow Yuurei to see in dark places. [1/1 Katon: Fukumen no Jutsu (Fire Release: Veil Technique) learned]
Katon: Tanebi no Jutsu (Fire Release: Cinder Technique) was a nifty way to light a cigarette. Snapping his fingers he created a small momentary flash of blue fire. Shrugging, Yuurei figured he would find a time to make use of the skill. [1/1 Katon: Tanebi no Jutsu (Fire Release: Cinder Technique) learned]
Finally for this brief stint was the Katon: Houka Hira no Jutsu (Fire Release: Flaming Palm Technique). Concentrating on his chakra again this time he was able to make a small shimmering blue orb of fire about the size of his fist. Floating above his palm he effectively had made a lantern. He'd continue with training in a bit but for the moment he rested himself to prevent overusing his chakra.
Yumi smirked a little to her response, "Was he? Or was simply the illusion that was made distorted? I would suggest you speak to them at the very least. They are your team mates. A bond that can either be built upon or cut. But if made a bond, can create strength that so few possess. Even if you can't see them in the same light, I want our village to be built on loyalty and companionship. Our forces and the strength that we have together could dominate the shinobi world peacefully. If we have the strength and exhibit dominance in that strength when needed... Then peace within our nation could possibly be made." Yumi said as he narrowed his eyes when she brought up a seal. Was this the technique she mentioned at he office? Didn't quite remember them utilizing jutsu in this little spar but seeing that they now were...
Shikayumi, for a moment, would sense a weakness in Yumi's hand. Admittedly, such a close range and ineffective knowledge of the jutsu didn't prepare him for a proper counter But there was one thing wrong with Nara Clan techniques when it came to them utilizing it by themselves. The large tank of an Uchiha started to distort ad create static in the area that began to rapidly increase, licking Shikayumi's flesh with gentle sparks that slowly began to increase in their bite as Yumi spoke, "Very good Shikayumi... But the problem with doing this jutsu solo... is that it won't paralyze me for long. And if I'm correct, most Nara techniques require great amount of chakra and concentration. Now..." Shikayumi would find holding the large man getting increasingly difficult as the strength to his hand was slowly increasing in grip. • Sharingan Perception While the Sharingan is active, the wielder is able to see even the slightest movements made by their targets, making them near impossible to trick with a sleight of hands move; this includes being able to see chakra, even underground.
• Jutsu Mimicry While in battle, the Sharingan can let the wielder mimic a jutsu that was used in the previous post as long as the wielder may use that jutsu for an additional 50% chakra. The user may mimic a jutsu that is not of an element they possess, as long as it is below their rank, for double the chakra cost. Any jutsu mimiced lose 1 rank in power
• Jutsu Copying While observing a jutsu be performed, the Sharingan may copy the chakra patterns used to perform the jutsu, allowing the wielder to gain instant knowledge of how to perform the jutsu. "Like I would a Jounin?" it ate away at her seeing how her teacher was undermining her status as a Jounin. Did her sensei really think she couldn't hack it? First her own clan didn't think she was worthy, now this? No, dinner would have to wait until sensei could accept her for what she was.
"I'd like you...to fight me...like I mean something!?" Probably the most heart-felt thing she said this whole afternoon as she wiggled her hand from the loose, static grip of Yumi-sensei. No matter the pain, she had to fight through it for Yumi's sake. Yes, a Nara's jutsu can be frail, but only through immediate, ongoing repetition. Seeing how this was the first instance of her jutsu, it was at her peak. With her hand free, she would back kick at her sensei, forcing him to mimic her actions. Using her knowledge in the medical field, she would strike with pin point precision at crippling parts of the body while her opponent would be forced to attack deadspace. This kick i particular would be plated between the sixth, and seventh, rib on the right side of the body where the lung rests by the liver.
Knowing that she diverted her focus into landing that kick, the Shadow contact jutsu would begin to lose its bond. Quick to turn around she brought her hands together into the iconic Nara stance, ready for what was to come. "I have to keep advancing forward," she thought as she glanced over the situation. With all the weight balancing on Yumi's left leg, that would be the ideal place to strike. Regaining control of her shadow it would begin moving towards Yumi's left ankle. If she were to succeed she would sweep his left leg out from under him; destroying his remaining center of balance.

Magnus walked into the forest training grounds with a ring of paper butterflies fluttering over his head circling as he carried a scroll in his hands of which he seem to be studying diligently and nearly walked into a tree. He looked up at the tree and stabbed the scroll unravelled onto it and continued to look over the instructions. He held out his hand as he called the paper creations back to him and into his body and pulled out his trench knives from his pockets. "Stage One: Power" He said as he turned his back on the scroll and begin with a jog that quickly turned into a charge and a burst of speed around the training ground until he found himself surrounding a dummy and begun a series of punching combos. Magnus twisted around and quickly and abruptly altered his direction in reverse around the dummy as he went into a series of cross cuts and backhands to the dummy. "Hahaha." He was having fun now with this as he kicked off into a backflip soring through the air and landing on his right foot planted as he launched off his left moving close under the dummy for an uppercut. He jumped back alittle as he settled down into a couple of slugs and haymakers. [2/3]
Magnus continued the boxing in a one-two dodging rthyme for 15 minutes adding in a haymaker followed by a serrated uppercut slicing into the dummy leaving it with slash marks and cut marks along the body and face of the dummy. He feel the power building behind his punches with each continued jab, with every blade aidded uppercut and cross hook. After about 30 minutes he felt ready to continue onwards to the next segment of his training. [3/3] Stage 1 Learned
