"Sewn into your soul, this is out of our control..."

xxxxNike merely blinked in surprise at Ombrare-sensei’s critical words as she fell back into her stance. Her technique was too rough, yet he wanted a direct attack? She clenched her dominant right hand into a tight fist, only the barrier provided by the fingerless gloves she wore on her hands keeping her nails from cutting into her palms. So he wanted a direct attack? Fine. She would give him precisely what he was asking her for. She closed the distance between them in two long strides and began her assault. She wouldn’t hold anything back if he told her not to. Her muscles were tense and rigid as she moved around Ombrare, her slender body twining around his in an effortlessly smooth dance of combat.
xxxxHer hand balled into a fist with the second knuckle of her middle and index fingers protruding more than the others, Nike struck Ombrare-sensei hard, right on the indentation over his coracoid process, where it would inflict the most pain in a small spot. While still in his personal space, Nike launched a bit of a reckless, albeit swift, kick at the side of his knee, knowing that he would drop like a rock if she managed to cause his knee to buckle. Taking careful aim, she made one last offensive move, striking at the end of his chin with the heel of her hand. Proper force on the end of his chin would knock him out, that much she knew for certain, since she had done it more than once. To be safe, however, she also resorted to a previous maneuver, and aimed her knee towards the place where his legs met at the same time that she curled a fist, pulled her arm back, and let it snap forward, aiming a simple close-fisted punch at Ombrare's mouth. She was getting sick of attacking with no provocation, so she was simply going to fight dirty.

Korumo sat by, observing his fellow students. He watched as a new academy student emerged from the shadows beyond the doorway, one who attempted to fool her own mind, though genjutsu clearly was meant for other uses. His eyes then shifted across the room, toward Ombrare sensei, and Nike. For some reason he could not discern, she appeared to be a one trick taijutsu expert, repeatedly running around to her opponent's rear, and striking out at the back of their knees, while also focusing on making a quick cheap shot...predictable. The only motion that appeared to have changed with her unpolished style was the direct strike she seemed to aim at the master's chin. Perhaps she was going to strike out at the gekkon pressure point, one of four forbbiden cranial pressure points removed from most taijutsu styles simply for their painful killing prowess. Thats new at least.

His eyes continued to wonder around the general area, as he began to wonder if there was a good place to sleep around here. His eyelids were beggining to become heavy, becoming more and more difficult to separate once they had collided. Some rest would do him good, for his reflexes and motions would slow without. Slowly he slumped across the floor toward the front desk. Though it's rough grain could hardly substitute as a cusion, he figured that it would be much easier to doze off once proped up properly.

"Wake me when the next lesson starts." He instructed lazily to no one in particular." A yawn escaped him, as he leaned against the suprisingly sturdy desk.

((yes the gekkon is a real pressure point))

Ombrare was rather impressed by her movements. She seemed to have grasped the concept and even if it was dirty fighting, the girl held potential for what his master had in mind. As Nike launched her fist, Ombrare twisted his body, placing his open palm where her fist was going to strike. Barely blocking the attack, the girl did manage to throw him off balance with the force of it. That was when she launched the kick to the side of his knee, and because he was off balance, his knee buckled over. As she aimed her knee right to where she aimed her very first strike against him, Ombrare crossed his arms in an X formation, letting the knee stop at the point where her arms crossed. With her final strike, Ombrare quickly moved tilted his head to the right, the fist grazing the side of his head slightly as he regained his balance and jumped back to place some distance between the two. "Very good Miss Nike. You surely hold potential to be a great shinobi. All's fair in love and war Miss Nike. Your method of fighting, though unorthodox may give you the edge you need to survive...as I'm sure you already know. The three of you have done better than I expected...you two mastering the basics of your element, while Miss Nike has reached the first stage of the Hidden Mist Stance Style and now earning Apprenticeship in the style. Congratulations, I now promote the three of you to the rank of Genin," the shadow wolf proclaimed as he walked over to the desk and opened the drawer. Just as he suspected, there were several Mist headbands there. Taking three of them, he tossed one to each of the three potentials.

"Life is just a series of choices...

Lifting his hand as Ombrare tossed him his head-band, Kane caught the metal-band with an easy grace. Looking down at the metal band, Kane ran his thumb over the cold metal, tracing the symbol engraved on its front. Lifting the head-band up to his neck, Kane tied the band loosely, leaving it hanging slightly from his neck to rest on his collar-bone. Looking to Ombrare, Kane bowed as he said humbly, "thank you Ombrare-sensei." Rising once more, Kane looked to the other two students before looking to Ombrare and asking, "what are we to do now?"

"... the question is, which is the right choice?"

Korumo awoke to the sound of his sensei's knowing voice, and became completely aware of his surroundings once more as soon as the rough grain of the wood scrapped against another. As soon as his eyes jolted open, a glinting object flew towards him, though without harmful speed or intention of any sorts. Korumo's hand snatched the projectile from the air as it came into reach.

"A Genin..." These were the only words that came to mind at the time. Korumo stood up quickly, nearly hopping with the momentum. A grin flashed across his face as he bent over forward, dawning the hitai-ate around his left knee (preffering that it not slip from it's position on his fourhead, to block his vision.) The weight of the cool metal giving him a new found feeling of respect and responsibility. Not a moment slipped by before he heard the respectfull voice of Kane, asking the question that the three so obviously held in their minds.

"What are we to do now?"

It was a good question. Korumo lifted his head towards his sensei, almost anxious for an answer.

"What have we here?" Kay would ask himself aloud as he wandered through the doors of the academy. He had seen a glimmer in the bottom of his peripheral, and his head fell so that his eyes were now locked upon it. It was a single, shiny bronze coin. Not even worth picking up. But Kay knew better. He'd find use for this at some point during the day. "Must be my lucky day," he said to himself as he placed it snugly into his pocket. As a freelancer, Kay knew the importance of every cent. An orphan he was, and a crafty little one he had been all his life. In fact he was only here because a jounin saw him pickpocket three people on the same street, and also saw the chakra mouths on his hands, which had only opened slightly. He told him that unless he showed up here that he would turn him in. So Kay had come, with nothing but his wits about him. The insects under his cloak scooted uneasily. They weren't very big fans of ninja, nor did they too much like the thought of fighting. But Kay set them at ease with his aloof attitude. He had only come here because it was a favorable environment for him to train in solitude, even if their were others around...

To begin, he found himself an area relatively empty as far as other ninja went. They were busy learning in groups, socializing, while the lonely ant trained alone without a colony to cushion him as he fell. Which made it more fun to him. He reached into the pouch he kept, only to bluff of course, full of clay. His hands, intrigued by the unique taste, chewed on a piece. They were unknowingly infusing them with chakra as the teeth and tongue chewed on it. But Kay would notice it and when he removed his hand he had a piece of clay which was infused with chakra in his hands. ((Exploding clay learned.))
PostPosted: Wed Dec 29, 2010 7:01 pm

The piece of clay was useless in it's current form. Kay examined it nonetheless though. It was small, a first attempt, but it was still full of his chakra and had the potential to be a deadly weapon. The mere thought of it made Kay smile devilishly. But he had more pressing techniques to learn. Drawing a new piece of clay into the mouth on his right hand, Kay would allow his tongue to graze it and remove excess from it. The teeth cut out details like the eyes and nose. Next ears would be visible, then the details on his jacket. Next would come the legs and numerous pouches. Finally the tongue would style the hair down to the last, stray hair on it. Kay would toss the figure from the mouth, and do a single seal. He knew that this was the calling card of his bloodline, why they were feared. The clay figure would grow in a poof of smoke and a clay version of himself would appear giving a thumbs up to Kay. ((Clay Clone learned.))

Next , as the clone turned back into a mound of clay, Kay recovered and mixed it back in his pouch. Drawing upon a new pound of clay, he began the chewing process to learn a new, more deadly variation of the exploding clay.

The first thing he needed to do was shape it. There was a kind of working of teeth inside the hand, with cut away and shaped at the clay for him as he had found before. He practiced making numerous different shapes from the one pound of clay, which wasn't hard considering what he had just done. Triangles, squares, circles, and even pentagons were spit out as he learned the basic workings of creating art using the clay. It's amazing that after so many years, he only now had become an official genin. But no matter, he was only recently allowed into the academy. ((1/9))

After the basics, Kay placed his clay back into the mouth. This time, he made a small fist as the mouth chewed and sawed at the clay. It had a distinct taste, and a malleable texture to it that just felt okay for Kay to use. He carved out small legs and toes, a nose, eyes, and a long slender-ish tail at it's end. When it spit the creation out, it had an odd look to it. The legs were different sizes, the tail wasn't logically or anatomically correct. But either way the rat wasn't what Kay was going for. Kay squeezed the pound of clay back into a ball, and then it went back into the mouth. ((2/9))

This time, the ball of clay would be molded into the general shape of the rat first. Then, the nose was created first. Then it moved back to the eye holes, and it continued backwards, making sure, quickly of course, that each leg was the same size, and that the body was still the correct shape. After making sure of each one, Kay would not spit it out. He would continue with what he hoped was a perfect product. ((3/9))

As he went over the creation one last time with the tongue, the canal of his chakra mouth would live up to it's name. It filled itself up with chakra, most of it seeping into the miniature rodent, and sucked up into the mouse. The two types of chakra he had thought made sense to use were on his mind as this happened.Doton element for the movement, katon for the... fire. As the last of the required chakra sucked into the mouse, Kay would spit it out and hold it in his hand. He looked it over, proud of his miniature work of art, and continued with his learning of the technique. ((4/9))

Kay tossed it up and did the doton seal he had used before, but this time nothing had happened. He examined the rodent thoroughly but came to no clear conclusion as to why it hadn't worked. Every bit of it's construction was corect. It looked like a rat. He had put in the chakra. What was wrong. With his freehand he scratched his head in confusion. ((5/9))

As a last resort, he placed it on the ground and held a hand, the fingers bent around it like a prison hanging over it's body, and the insects that inhabited him scattered towards the rodent. The small ground crawled all around it looking for some kind of solution to help their master. As they came up with a diagnostic they crawled from his legs to his face and crawled in patterns across it. The patterns Kay made out into words, and then sentences like bees in a hive.((6/9))

Smashing the clay into a ball again, Kay reconstructed the rat. The mushi had came up with that his chakra had not gotten deep enough into his creation, nor was the chakra dense and lively enough to support the creature's life. He removed the rodent from his mouth and looked it over quickly. Perfection.((7/9))

This time when he went over the chakra in his hand, he filled it to the bri. The creature would be drowned in chakra, and the chakra would pack into it, almost as if creating a network of chakra throughout it. It may have been fake but it would appear to have tenketsu and a working network of it's creator's chakra inside it. Kay would finally have his first work of art completed. The freelancer would smile and begin the final part of the training.((8/9))

"Now," he said clapping his hands into the symbolic earth seal. A poof of smoke would ensue, and a nice sized rat would crawl around Kay's feet. It would crawl through a hole in the wall and outside. Finding a nearly unpopulated area with a tree, Kay would do a single seal, a katon seal, and the creature would ignite, and explode relatively heavily. The tree would fall, and Kay would pretend to be just as surprised as everyone else. Secretly he was glad he had came today... stupid jounin...

xxxxThe smooth fabric of the headband’s cloth touched Nike’s hands before she had fully realized that it was that had just transpired. She froze, completely and utterly lost for a moment, before tying the headband around her right wrist. When the band was snug, Nike tucked the loose ends into the tie before looking up at Ombrare-sensei calmly and tucking a lock of her long chestnut waves behind her left ear. Her cerulean eyes were wide with surprise as she stared at the object tied around her arm that was so foreign to her. Shrugging off the uncomfortable emotion, she glanced at Kane, then at Ombrare-sensei, wondering what she was supposed to do from there.

"Now that you're finished with your training as genins," the shadow wolf said as he turned his back to the newly appointed genins. A sly and evil grin went across his face, knowing that they were valid candidates, the next stage of his master's plan was about to take effect. "Actually, the three of you now that you are graduated genins are to be put in a squad. I'm sure the three of you know your way around the village by now. Head on over to the Mist Forest. Your new instructor will meet you guys there," the Shadow wolf told them.

Korumo smirked at his sensei's words, eager to take the next steps toward becoming a fully realized shinobi. Genin was only the first step after all.

"Yes sir." Korumo gave his master a single salute of respect before dashing out through the doorway he had first entered.

Amelia feeling accomplished decided to try another one.So she picked up the scroll from the desk, put it back with the others, and took another and read it it said"Mizu Soujuu (Water Manipulation)
Description: Any Mist Shinobi that uses ninjutsu should likely have this technique. This involves learning basic manipulation of the properties of water. Boiling, freezing, and pressurization of water are included in these studies. Freezing is mostly limited to small amounts of water, and boiling includes the creation of steam by further putting chakra into the water. The user cannot perform these tasks on larger bodies of water with this basic study alone. Furthermore, by learning to draw water from the moisture in the air, the shinobi can use water techniques without requiring a source of water nearby (unless stated otherwise.) A Kage level jutsu always requires a water source, even if the Mist-nin in question creates it first.
She went to get a cup, then went to the restroom to fill it with water, then walked back and put it down.

1st Try
She sighed"Ok let's start with freezing"She said as she took a deep breath to help her concentrate, she looked at the cup of water, and slowly poured shakra into water, watching as it turn slowly. When it completely froze, she smiled"Yes i got it"She said

2nd Try
She smiled"I froze the water, now let me melt and boil the water"She said as she slowly poured more shakra into the water, and watched it crack and melt."Good, now let's boil"She said as she slowly added more shakra into it and watched it boil.

3rd Try
She smiled"Ok so i froze, melted and boiled it, let's see if i can pressurize it"She said as she poured shakra on all sides, and watched it preasurize

Suddenly the door of the academy was opened by a new guy, as if at that moment time had stopped the people from the academy turned to look at the guy with white hair, black clothes and purple eyes.
User Image
The new guy started to look at the students and the classroom recognizing every detail of the place.
*hmmm...the academy seems a good place* he thought.
In a sign of carelessness, the new guy closed slowly his eyes while the wind blew his hair slightly.
He smiled and begin to walk slowly towards the Sensei of the academy.
''Hi...i'm the new student...Sensei''
